On today’s Shining World Awards program, we are extremely honored to present a distinct category of selfless kindness of two particular individuals of Ukraine (Ureign), by introducing the brave deeds and touching stories of a veterinarian couple who rescue and take care of animal-people who are left behind as a consequence of the war.Drs. Leonid and Valentina Stoyanov pledged to stay behind in Odesa during the war, risking their own lives to look after over 200 animal-folk they house in their clinic. The brave couple runs the Vet Crew Hospital, which provides a lifeline for the animal-people victims of the war. They also reached out to fellow citizens offering to take care of their animal-person companions, if they are unable to provide for them due to the war.“Right now we have a lot of animals; we should go to different places, the occupied territories, frontline… (And feed a lot of animals there.) It’s difficult. A lot of animals evacuated from these places. (We help two shelters. In these shelters, how many dogs? 400 dogs and maybe 100 cats. We help them because if we don’t do this, they die.)”Our most Beloved Supreme Master Ching Hai (vegan): “Tearfully present the Shining World Compassion Award to Drs. Leonid and Valentina Stoyanov, with appreciation and a humble, loving contribution of US$10,000 to help with the medical needs of the intelligent animal-people under your generous protection, in Heaven’s immense Grace. May peace be restored in your freedom-loving country, bringing Divine upliftment and healing to you and your worthy co-citizens.”“We want to say thank You and thank You again, Supreme Master Ching Hai, for everything, for all Your support for our foundation. (Thank You so much. Your help is very important for us and for all the animals in Ukraine. Thank You.)”Drs. Leonid and Valentina Stoyanov have a message for the world. “It is to not forget about Ukraine. We’re here and people are here and animals are here, and just do not forget about this. (And the war needs to stop. Don’t give up. And actually, we live because the world helps Ukraine.)”
