World Refugee Day is recognized every year on June 20 in the admiration of the strength, courage and perseverance of millions of refugees worldwide. This occasion has been observed since 2001, and has since grown into a global celebration that aims to unify all people. There are a great number of refugees in the world that act as shining lights for others’ hope and inspiration. Syrian-born Olympic swimmer, Yusra Mardini is one, she has an experience from refugee to Olympian. And in 2017, She was named the youngest ever UNHCR Goodwill Ambassador.
