Palitana: Kota Ahimsa yang Ajaib di India

In this spirit of kindhearted consideration, 200 Jain monks went on a hunger strike in 2014, calling for the creation of a citywide vegetarian zone in Palitana. In response, the Gujarat government enforced a ban on animal slaughter and prohibited the buying and sale of meat, fish, and eggs. On August 14, 2014, Palitana was declared the world's first vegetarian city! The city has also taken other eco-friendly strides. In order to achieve a pollution-free atmosphere in the surrounding areas, the construction of chimneys is prohibited within 20 kilometers of Palitana. It is a pleasure to see animals freely roaming the streets of Palitana.
