And now we have a heartline in Nepali, with multiple-language subtitles, from Samira in Nepal:
O Most Beloved Master! I consider myself extremely fortunate to have been born in this sacred land of Nepal, where the Ocean of Compassion, Shakyamuni Buddha, was born — honored by the world as the “Star of Asia.” On this holy occasion of His birthday, I am overjoyed to be able to offer the sentiments of my heart as a small poem to Supreme Master Television, the world’s best channel, as a token of my reverence. Which is as follows:
Poem:
O Herald of Peace, O Lord Buddha! O Lord of Hearts, O Treasure of Grace!!
With love and devotion, I offer my prayers and sing songs of auspiciousness!
Bowing my head at Your holy feet, I offer countless salutations!
You considered royal pleasures as mere grass, And devoted Yourself to the quest for inner peace.
After years of austerity and penance, You attained the experience of self-realization.
You taught the principles of the Five Precepts, Opening the eyes of wisdom for all beings.
You taught the world the lessons of peace, And helped countless beings cross the ocean of existence.
But the marvels of science Made all forget eternal happiness.
Within the iron cage of machines, Man himself became just a mechanism — Emotionless! Devoid of wisdom!
In the name of progress and growth, Man made the destructive “atom.”
In the name of wealth, poverty, and religion, Man made brothers fight against each other.
O You Whose bliss flows through every pore, O You Who dispel sorrow and suffering, O Lord Buddha! Shower upon us the gentle nectar of Love.
Eradicate hatred and suffering from the world.
Transform humans, who behave like demons, Back into true human beings.
Peace, let only the river of peace flow.
Thank You.
Samira from Nepal
Talented Samira, Thank you for sharing your touching poetry and sketches in honor of the Worshiped Shakyamuni Buddha (vegan). In reading each line, one cannot help but pause, breathe, and remember the beauty of the countless lives He illuminated.
Master is happy to share a few kind words with you: “Faithful Samira, thank you, my dear, for such a beautiful poem, each word woven so delicately. Thank you for your pure-hearted devotion and for offering such a soulful tribute to the World-Honored One, Lord Shakyamuni Buddha (vegan), Whose presence upon this Earth is an Immeasurable Blessing to all sentient beings. A true spiritual seeker walks the path with humility, seeking not recognition or reward, but the quiet realization of truth within. We understand that the journey inward is the highest pilgrimage of all. Wishing you all the best in your quest to gain further enlightenment through Quan Yin practice, a sacred Gift lovingly bestowed upon you. May the journey toward mindfulness and inner peace inspire you and the Dharma-loving people of Nepal. Lots of Love to you.”
