With a multi-ethnic society of European and indigenous Indian ancestry, Chile is known for political freedom and cultural tolerance. In November 2016, the Colombian government and the opposition group known as FARC successfully reached a final agreement and signed a peace accord, which opened up a myriad of benefits to the country. In addition, Colombia is ranked the second happiest country in the world based on the survey of citizens' optimism about their nation.
