Oh, the woman who sold chicken-, pig- and duck-people was so terrified. She begged the Yama king for mercy, “Help! Save me!” She recited Amitabha Buddha. The Yama king said, “It’s of no use here! You created bad karma and you have to be responsible. Not even the Buddha can come here to save you. This you should know since you believe in the Buddha. You should know the rule of karmic retribution. You went against it knowingly, so even the Buddha can’t help you.”
Perhaps we can buy chemical solutions for the farms to get rid of the odor, but we cannot remove the filth and pollutants in the air. They said it is also inappropriate for us to buy the chemicals for them to handle their problem. Understand? It’s not about money. That means we support their killing, and thus, incur heavy karma. It’d be difficult for you to meditate there. Your hard-earned merits would be deducted. There are millions of chicken-people clucking and duck-people quacking there. It’s a losing business. It’s comfortable there. Yet, you won’t make any gains. Maybe in the future, there’ll be no more chicken-, duck-, or pig-people raising sites. Then we can try to organize gatherings. OK? After the karma is eliminated.
In fact, fellow initiates told me, “After two or three years, at most two to three years, the farms will have to move. They heard that a reservoir will be built there.” I asked, “Why after the reservoir construction, those who raise chicken- and pig-people will have to be relocated?” They told me, “Because if the reservoir is built, it will provide drinking water to people downstream. So, raising chicken- and pig-people up there is not good. They can’t.” I said that if that’s the case, they should move right away! Wait two or three years and more polluted water will seep into the ground. How can you let people drink it? Ah? If I were the government, I’d move them right away. It’s not good for the people. So, we won’t go there. We just cram in here! (Yes.) I have a solution to make it less crowded here. If I run away, then no one will come, or just a few Kaohsiung locals up to one or two thousand. Ah! That’s the best solution. Yes? If I’m not here, then no one comes. No more squeezing then. (No.) “No, Master.” (We want Master.) So old already. Still talk like kids.
Those who raise chicken- or pig-people are to be pitied. There is a true story from Âu Lạc (Vietnam) from long ago. It really happened. There was a person, she didn’t practice spiritually. Many people claim to believe in Buddhism and be a Buddhist, but actually, they are not. They don’t eat vegetarian. Buddhism teaches people to eat vegetarian, but they don’t. And they don’t go to learn from monks. Understand? So, they don’t know many things. Thus, she sold pig-, chicken-people, etc. at home. She bought chicken-people for others, plucked all their feathers, boiled them, and then took them up for sale. Afterwards, she fell ill. She was very sick, almost dying. Actually, she died. Her body stayed there with her shallow breathing barely detectable. This is a true story. Then her soul went to a very dark and horrible place. She asked and found out that she was in hell.
The Yama king was sitting there and asked her, “Ah! Your time is not up yet. But many beings have accused you of abusing them very cruelly. So, we sent the angels of death to bring you here for a fair judgement.” She was very scared! She saw many beings coming in. Originally, they looked like humans. The Yama king asked those who just entered in, “Tell her clearly what you have accused her of, so that she is totally convinced. OK?” They said, “This woman catches our family and friends every day, plucks us alive, slashes our throat, and drains our blood. She even drinks the blood. Then she sells our skin and flesh and everything. She also eats us while selling us. Our pain is indescribable! So, we are suing her for compensation.” The Yama king asked, “How should she pay back so that it’s fair and you are appeased? They said, “Let’s execute her. Put her to death. We’ll peck her together. Peck her to death and let her feel the pain. We’ll peck her bit by bit so that she’ll suffer as we did when she defeathered us. We had no one to protect us or to talk to. She held us down and plucked our feathers one by one. The pain was unbearable. Now we’ll treat her the same way until she dies.” “If she dies too soon, we’ll go up to snatch her children and peck them too.”
You went against it knowingly, so even the Buddha can’t help you.” And “You can only plead with the beings that you had harmed to see if they can forgive you.”
You don’t have translation? No? How come? You don’t have translation either? (We have one.) Ah, two in one. Huh! We are short of translation? Brother, take two earphones and give to them. English. One is fine. They can share. Do you have the machine? Quickly! (I have one.) Have a spare one? Give it to me. What’s the number for English? (88.1 It’s Chinese! You have got Chinese.) How about English? What’s the number for English? (88.5.) 88.5. One is enough. You two share it. 88.5. I don’t know how you do it. I am not an expert. Try, OK? Everybody OK now? The English have? Yeah? OK, good.
The woman was terrified and her soul was shattered. She knelt down and prostrated. “Please! I was ignorant! For survival and for my family, I have harmed you. I really didn’t know. Please forgive me. I’ll come back… If I can return to the world with your pardon, I’ll practice diligently by every possible means to progress faster and get more enlightened. I’ll dedicate my merits and spiritual powers to you to pay my debts. Will that be good?” They said, “What good is it for us? You inflicted us with so much suffering. Huh? You think that’s enough?” She said, “Maybe it’s not enough!” The woman who owed the debt said, “Maybe it’s not enough. But if you peck me to death now, it won’t benefit you. You still stay in hell with more karma incurred. Because you have… past lives. If you believe in Buddhism, you know that maybe you did bad deeds in your past lives, so, you turned into animal-people and were tormented by others. That wasn’t my fault. The entire world is killing in this way. I don’t have a job. In order to survive, I just learned their ways. I was ignorant! I don’t have a vicious heart. Now I’ve learned my lesson and I knew it. I’ll definitely change when I go back, and I’ll transfer my merits to you. It’d be useless if you kill me now. You’ll just incur more karma.”
Some of them said OK. Some duck- and chicken-people said, “Ah, her suggestion is good.” But some of them were very angry. They didn’t care at all! They then turned into chicken- and duck-people. Just a moment ago, they looked like humans. Then they turned into chicken- and duck-people, rushing forward to peck her. They pecked her all over, on her nose, eyes, ears, everywhere, until she bled profusely. She kept begging for mercy. So, the other side who agreed with her, said, “That’s enough! Let’s take time to discuss this. If you want to kill her, there is still time. Let’s discuss what works better. Killing her doesn’t help.” Those who disagreed and attacked her, said, “What’s the use of it? I saw with my own eyes how she tortured my kids like that. It’s very difficult for a parent to recover from such pain even now! How can I forgive her? Even if I’ll go to hell, I cannot forgive her. I don’t care if I stay in hell or incur more karma! I want revenge for my children. She not only hurt me – my children were just babies. She plucked their feathers and fried them for people to eat.” They were so angry! The two sides scuffled.
Then the Yama king said, “Alright! From each side, please select one leader to discuss and settle this. Whatever the two leaders agree on, all of you must obey.” They thought this was OK. Alright. They selected two leaders to negotiate with each other. Finally, they said, “Alright! We’ll forgive her. It has already happened anyway. We and our children are dead. The suffering is also over. Why not forgive her now? If her spiritual practice bears any merit, we can be saved and be elevated. If her practice bears no result, she cannot get away when she returns to see us here!” So, it was OK! They forgave her and the Yama king said, “OK. Since both parties agree, it is fine with me. I am just a fair arbitrator here. It is fine as long as you drop the charges.”
Well, she returned to the world and wrote this story. She left home to become a nun. She found a Master, practiced the Quan Yin Method and became liberated. This is a true story. Her account was terrifying. She said if she had known earlier, she wouldn’t have dared to touch any sentient being. Understand? Not a single sentient being. People eat meat or fish-people because they are ignorant. It’s already processed and displayed in the market, looking nicely wrapped in packages. People are fooled into eating it. So, their karma is less. For anyone to kill directly and inflict so much suffering on other beings, the bad karma is unimaginable. So many lives and so much killing.
Pingtung, of course, has the karma of killing. Raising pig- and chicken-people for slaughter, for food, brings heavy karma. It’s not that I don’t want to go to Pingtung. If you can bear the stench, so can I. I can endure it. No problem. But Heaven doesn’t allow me to go. I was ready to go that day. My pretty outfit was ready, high heels and lipsticks were ready. I chose and packed a lipstick and got ready. While I was asleep that night, the Godses sent me a message: “Don’t go.” In fact, before I decided to go, They had already warned me not to go. But They didn’t say it so clearly and I was too busy to check why I should not make the trip.
Of course, I was aware of the killing karma there but we have no part in it. That’s what I thought. We don’t kill at all. Later I heard the disciples say that they bought chemicals for those who raise pig-people to remove the smell. Those chemicals could harm the chicken-people. Understand? Inevitably they would peck, drink, or touch it. It’s not good for the farm owners or the ones who buy and eat the chicken-people. It’s surely not good. So, we would have karma anyway. We would share their bad karma. So, later that night, the Godses came to tell me, “Don’t go.” I said, “It’s fine for me to endure a little bad karma. Many disciples from abroad are waiting for me there. I cannot ignore them since I myself moved them there. If I don’t go now, they will feel very sad. They went there because they trust me. That won’t do.” And then They said, “You can move them here.” I said, “OK, fine. But we don’t have enough space.” I thought more about it. Well, we can take turns if there’s not enough space. Some can wait at the railway station. Some can be here enjoying vegan rice dumplings, cookies and candies. They can laugh with me for an hour and then leave. They can go anywhere and then the rest can come in. I came up with this idea but I didn’t deliberate much.
I asked the Godses, “If I insist on going there, what will happen?” They showed me that if I go to Pingtung, I’ll lose half of my spiritual Power. (Wow!) Right away. Oh! That’s more than for the entire world! Because it’s directly related to me, the karma of the entire world… When we just relaunched the Supreme Master TV, because the whole world was watching, that was a lot of bad karma. I lost 62% of my spiritual Power. 62%. Remember that? (We remember.) I strived hard to earn it back. This time I’m sick and very tired. Yesterday, demons came making noise and trouble for you. I fought hard with them. I was very weak already and almost lost the battle. Understand? If I lose 50% more, I’ll definitely die. I won’t be able to climb up to earn more money, I mean, to earn more merits. That’s more important than money. But if I said money, you’ll understand. If I said merit, you can’t really see. Money – then you understand. You cannot live without money. Right? The world is like that. So, I could not go. Since the early morning I waited... I received the message at 2 or 3 am. But I waited till 5 or 6 am, to tell them that I couldn’t go. I didn’t want to disturb others at night during their meditation or rest. They also work every day during the day.
