Insightful Films on the Afterlife: “Astral City: A Spiritual Journey” and “The Mothers of Chico Xavier”

Chico Xavier was a well-known Brazilian philanthropist and medium in Spiritism. The first film, “Astral City: A Spiritual Journey,” is based on one of his best-selling books with the same name. Through the book, the spirit of Dr. André Luiz tells of his experiences, lessons, and spiritual awakening in the astral city that he stays in after leaving Earth. Our second film is the 2011 drama, “The Mothers of Chico Xavier,” inspired by the true stories from Marcel Souto Maior's book. The thought-provoking film reminds us of the ephemeral nature of life, while illustrating that there is life after death and that our every action has a consequence.
