Education Cannot Wait (ECW) provides emergency help to vulnerable countries.
In the urgency of the COVID-19 pandemic, global fund ECW distributed a total of US$23 million to 26 countries to put into effect comprehensive education services to safeguard and support vulnerable children. The emergency funds were allocated to 55 grantee United Nations agencies and non-government organizations, which work through inter-agency humanitarian and resident coordinators in each of the 26 countries. Areas to be addressed include providing informal schooling material to families and remote education programs through interactive radio. In addition, messages such as practical advice on how to stay safe and maintain hygiene will be delivered in local languages and cultural contexts. Some funds will also be used to upgrade water and sanitation facilities in schools. Our sincere accolades, Education Cannot Wait. May all God’s children grow up in a secure, peaceful and joyous environment, in the Divine’s gracious protection!
Turkey delivers relief aid to Azerbaijan families.
The Turkish Cooperation and Coordination Agency (TİKA), a government entity mainly responsible for the country’s assistance to developing nations, has delivered food and cleaning provisions to 2,000 underprivileged families, people over the age of 65, and those living alone, who were not able to leave their homes due to regulations in place in the wake of the COVID-19 virus. Each package included basic food items such as rice, lentils, pasta, tomato sauce, sugar, salt and flour, as well as cleaning supplies. The initiative was carried out in partnership with the Azerbaijan Red Crescent Society and national volunteer group, the Fund of Aid for Youth. The Turkish government is a Shining World leadership Award for Compassion laureate. Our earnest appreciation, TİKA, Azerbaijan Red Crescent and the Fund of Aid for Youth. May the fine people of Azerbaijan, together with all world citizens, join in moving into a vegan era with good health and safety for all beings, in Heaven’s abiding shelter.
Up next, wind energy soars in Belgium. We’ll take a moment to thank the animal nutritionists for developing vegan pet foods that are well balanced and delicious for our beloved companions. Please stay for more enriching news on Supreme Master Television.
Hallo, adventurous viewers, I am Joe the Woylie, and I have been a compassionate vegan since birth! I have a kitchen tip for you. Cover your measuring cup with vegan margarine or oil cooking spray prior to measuring out extra gooey food ingredients. This will allow the sticky material to easily slip off and keep you from spending lots of time scrubbing the substance from your cups later. Thank you for your attention and love you a lot for Being Veg and Going Green 2 Save the Planet for all of us humans and all co-inhabitants alike. Now, the worldwide weather.
Belgium offshore wind farms set record.
During November 2019 to March 2020, offshore wind farms in the Belgium section of the North Sea produced 3.2 terawatt-hours of electricity, which is 60% more than the previous winter. During that period, wind generated 9% of the entire nation’s electricity. Next winter is expected to see a further 25% increase in wind energy generation to four terawatt-hours due to technological advancements and new installations of turbines. The government of Belgium is a Shining World Leadership Award for Animal Protection laureate. Congratulations, Belgium, on your record-setting winter and your speedy progress towards a net-zero carbon economy. In Saintly harmony, may your glorious nation continue its journey to complete environmental sustainability as your noble citizens embrace the earth-friendly way.
London to extract unused heat from underground rail line to heat homes.
The London Borough of Islington, in the United Kingdom, will extract heat from London Underground’s Northern Line tunnels to heat and supply hot water to 1,350 homes, two leisure centers and a school. The Bunhill 2 Energy Centre project will include a giant fan situated in an underground station that has not been used for 100 years. The heat will be distributed to households via a pipe which will contain hot water. Two local recreational centers and over 800 homes are already receiving green, affordable heat from the network. Way to go, London, on your world-first project to extract spare heat from the railway system to ensure your citizens are comfortable while reducing fossil fuel consumption. May your initiative be the first of many as the world moves towards carbon neutrality, with love and respect for Mother Nature.

The calls of oxpeckers help rhinos keep safe.
Dr. Roan Plotz from Victoria University, Australia, and Dr. Wayne Linklater of California State University, Sacramento, in the United States, co-authored a paper published in the journal, Current Biology, that revealed wild black rhinos in southern Africa carrying red-billed oxpeckers were much better at sensing and avoiding approaching humans than those without. Field observations using radio transmitters on rhinos found that those with oxpeckers became aware of a person moving towards them at an average distance of 61 meters; that’s nearly four times further than the ones without their bird guardians. In addition, rhinos with no oxpeckers detected humans only 23% of the time. The more oxpeckers a rhino carried, the farther away he or she could perceive a human. Moreover, rhinos almost always re-oriented themselves to face downwind, which is their sensory blind spot, when hearing the call of the oxpecker. Many thanks, Dr. Roan Plotz and Dr. Wayne Linklater, for this fascinating research. What amazing animal companions red-billed oxpeckers are! May these marvelous hitchhiking birds, rhinos and all treasured species flourish evermore in God’s boundless grace.
Now, it’s time for some laughter with the joke of the day entitled, “On Cue.”
A boy went to the movies with his younger brother and after they had seated themselves, he asked: “Can you see, Bobby?”
“It will be fine. Just laugh when I laugh.”
