Parents Are the Best Gift on This Planet, Part 5 of 5

How strange! Why? Why can’t you see enough of me? (We love You. You are our Master.) You don’t have to see Master. (Because You are our Master, that’s why we want to see You.) There are many masters outside. If you want to see a master, you can... (Our Master is the most beautiful.) Thank you, thank you. I go upstairs. OK. Let’s go upstairs. Don’t look at this. Go! New or old people, go, go, go, go. Go up there. I’m coming in five minutes. You guys have work at home, or you want to go up? Any urgent job? Can go up if you want. You want to go up-up? Go, go. Or you put your things anywhere. You guys want to go up-up? (Yes, Master.) Or you have to go home urgently? Can go up. No eat? (Keep it as a midnight snack.) OK. (We eat what’s served on the spot.) You’re welcome. Camera. Thank you. It’s delicious. Thanks a lot. (Thank You, Master.) For everyone. (Thank You, Master.) One for each person. (OK. Be careful.) We might as well give it to people on this side. (Be careful.) (Thank You.) They’ve lined up. We will give it out. (Thank You.) (Thank You, Master.) You’ll have it. Slowly. Take it easy. (Thank You, Master.) Whatever we have. (OK. Thank You, Master.) I don’t mean to give you the food unevenly. They just stick together and I can’t help it. (OK.) (Thank You, Master.) Wish you safety, peace and happiness. (Thank You, Master.) Be carefree physically and mentally. Get liberation soon. (Thank You.) There’s more. (OK.) This will also do. (This will also do. OK.) Come, those who haven’t got it. (Thank You, Master.) Those who haven’t got it, come over. (Thank You, Master.) Those who’ve eaten can also come. (We’ve all eaten.) (Thank You, Master.) You’re welcome. You’ve got it? (Yes. We’ve all had it.) Thank you. (Master, we don’t have it here.) OK. (We don’t have it here.) Not yet? (Thank You, Master.) How pitiful. (Thank You.) How pitiful. Come, come. (Thank You, Master.) What do you have? You drop everything just for eating. (Yes, I have it. Thank You, Master.) Just a symbol… (Thank You, Master.) Have you got it? (Yes. Thank You.) Have you eaten it? (Yes.) Oh, so fast. OK, that’ll do. (Thank You, Master.) Is there anyone who doesn’t have it? Oh, this person. No one gave you anything. (Thank You, Master.) Just a symbol. Thank you. No, no. There’re still more. (Still more.) OK. (Thank You, Master.) Good job. Thank you. OK. Eat it if you want. OK. I will go wash my hands and brush my teeth. Then I have to go upstairs to work. You have your work, and I have mine. (OK.) And then sleep. Be careful. (OK.) Thank you, everyone. Good. This is good. (Thank You, Master.) Simple but nice. It’s simple but nice. Some people didn’t know. Thank you. (Bye, Master. Thank You, Master.) Do all of you have it? (Yes.) Did they give you something to eat? (Yes, thank You, Master.) Do you have it, brother? I didn’t give it to him? Put it down. (Yes, Master.) (I have it, thank You.) Oh, never mind, it’s OK. (Thank You, Master.) Do you have it? (Yes.) It’s for fun, not that we have to have it. Thank you everyone for your hard work. Thank you. Thanks. Bye-bye. (Thank You, Master.) Thank you. Tough guy. Oh, very good. I didn’t know that. (Thank You, Master.) Thank you, thank you. Thank you. Thank you. Thank You. Thank you. Thank you. Thank you. Thank you for your love. Thank you. (Hallo, Master.) Hallo. (Hallo, Master.) You aren’t going upstairs, old man? Go upstairs. What language does he speak? He doesn’t understand? You take him to the fourth floor, OK? (OK.) One of the guards. Take him to the foreigner’s group. I can answer his questions by the way. Thank you. Very good. Oh! How dare she compete with me, look. Her car is faster than mine. (Thank You, Master.) Watch out for the car. Never get tired of looking? Be careful, you guys. Watch your feet. Did you see that? I am not good at driving, as I told you. Have you seen me already? (Hallo, Master.) (Thank You, Master.) (Hallo, Master.) Monks can go upstairs if they want. Koreans can go up. Can go up. Somebody help translate. You translate English? English? No. OK. No, no. Hallo, everybody. Got you. I am not good at driving. I told you not to stick around. Yet, you still do. (Master drives very well.) (Hallo, Master.) Hallo. (Master has good skill.) Thanks a lot. Don’t kneel, it hurts. Stand up please. (Master, I love You.) Thank you. You can’t even see me on your knees, can you? Thank you. Love you. (Thank You, Master.) Love you. I like your hair. Never get tired of seeing me, no need to... Why do you bother to see me when you can never get enough? (We cannot see enough of You.) You see me today, and tomorrow you’ll want to see again. So, don’t worry about it. No need to see me again. (Master knows us too well.) No need to see me. Just like you eat today, but you’ll be hungry again tomorrow. Why bother eating? (It’s different.) It’s troublesome. Life is troublesome. Old beauty. Not bad, huh? (You are beautiful, very beautiful.) (Very young, too.) You think I believe what you say? (Yes!) (Because Master is forever young.) You think I’m a kid and I believe everything you say? I have a mirror! I can see myself. (We would like to see a beautiful Master.) OK, thank you. There’s a bright light over here, you can see me well. Are you short-stays? (Yes.) (We’re leaving tomorrow.) Tomorrow you are leaving. Bless you. (It’s true. It’s not easy for us to come because we are older.) I see. Are you older than me? (I’m really older than You.) I am already many millions of years old. Who is she? That’s nothing. Don’t say old. Say young. (It says in the rule, that older people are not allowed to come, starting December 1.) Who doesn’t allow you to come? (You said that those overage will not be allowed to come.) Huh? (Over the age limit. Even those with company are not allowed to come.) (Seventy years old.) Who said you cannot come? (It says so.) It says so? (Starting December 1, even overage people with company are not allowed to come.) (They cannot come in winter.) It’s too cold in winter. Come again in summer. Come again in a few months. Yes. (OK, thank You, Master.) Summer is fine. Spring and summer are fine. I’m afraid it’s too hard for you. (OK, thank You, Master.) Being old and having aches. (We want to see Master.) I know. But you look like you’re having back pain. Why the hardship? You can come in summer, OK? (OK, thank You, Master.) They need to take care of you because they’re worried that you can’t stand it. (Master, if I am physically capable, can I come?) Huh? (OK.) (If I am physically capable, can I come? I’m 69.) Sixty-nine cannot come already? (I will be 70 in 2020. Can I come? Master, because I have a one-year multiple-entry visa, which is due in March. It would be a pity if I could not come. I cannot come after March. It’s a multiple-entry Free- Independent Traveler visa.) If you are still alive at that time, then we will talk about it. We don’t even know what will happen tomorrow, and you are asking me? Even if I promise you now, they won’t recognize you when you come. (Yes.) Maybe a long beard grows out or something. Then they’d say, “No, Master meant someone else.” We grow old fast. Oh my God. So many short-stays? Or Taiwanese (Formosan)? (There are also Taiwanese [Formosan]. Some are Taiwanese [Formosan].) (We are from the mainland.) Taiwanese (Formosan) cheated; they stay behind. They share the benefit from the mainlanders. That’s how they can stay. (Yes.) And I have to see them too. I’m going to work. (OK. Thank You, Master.) Thank you for your love. (Thank You for Your love.) I don’t know. I just gave you initiation. How do I love you if I don’t know you? I don’t know any of you. Who are you? Kid, I’m sorry that you cannot go upstairs. They can after they grow up a little bit. It’s OK after six years. Six more years, very soon. Look how fast it is. I was young and beautiful when I first came to Taiwan (Formosa). Look at me now. (You are still beautiful.) Many wrinkles. (Master is forever 18 years old.) (Yes.) You haven’t kept the Five Precepts clearly. (Master is truly forever young.) Looking from a distance, yes, of course. (Really, Master hasn’t changed in 30 years. It’s the same every time I look at You. I love You.) It sounds nice. You haven’t kept the Five Precepts well. I need to go take care of the new initiates upstairs. (OK.) Some of you can’t see me, I’m sorry. I’m not going to grow any taller. I also find it strange that God didn’t choose a taller person. Then I wouldn’t need to sit on a stage or anything like that. I could stand anywhere and be taller. Then everybody could see me better. Kids, sorry, I have to go to work now. The kids can come upstairs later, OK? Now it’s different. Soon... Eat more and grow up quickly. Then you can go upstairs. Bye-bye. Thank you. Be good. (Thank You, Master.) Be good, kids. For the kids, not for you. OK, thank you. (Thank You, Master.) Some of you cannot see me. I know. But I can’t help it. Right. I can’t help it. Can you see me now? Yes. Poor people. Taiwanese (Formosan) have no excuses. You’ve seen me for hundreds of years, many decades. (But we can never see enough of You.) How strange. Why? (I love You, Master.)

Parents Are the Best Gift on This Planet, Part 4 of 5

(Master, I just wanted to tell You that we are very, very grateful to be part of Your family. And this is really like a dream. Very much like a dream.) You enjoy yeah? (Yes. Thanks a lot. Thank You.) Good. Good. I’m glad. I’m glad. (Vegan) Apple pie, only I have? You don’t have? (Do we have more [vegan] apple pie?) (There are some more.) Don’t other people have this? (There are more. Some have [vegan] scones. Master, some have [vegan] apple pies and some have [vegan] scones. There are two kinds.) OK. Thank you. You want some? You want? Today you eat everything. They are happy when she’s not here. I don’t know why; I always give her a lot of things. And they are shy, they don’t look and I forget. Today she is not here, I remember they exist. You take some back for some of the girls. Do you have a meal box? (Yes.) (This is water snowflake vegetable.) One more. Wow! Very delicious. Thank you very much. Do the monks have enough food? (We have enough.) The two of them have nothing to eat? Take it over there. (Master, we have enough.) One piece for each person. Just for fun. Did I give you this? No? You guys can share. Can share. This one is for you guys to share. Very little, sorry. (Yes, Master.) Break it, like that. Anyone who wants to break it? One, two, three, zack! It’s OK. Eat it, eat it, don’t worry. Take this and share with the kitchen, OK? (OK.) Kitchen. (OK. Thank You, Master.) Delicious! It is very delicious. (Do You want some more, Master?) Can I? (Yes, there is a lot.) No. This is for you. (There’s a lot. OK, I’ll get some more.) You are hungry still? Don’t be shy. She is easy to take care of, she eats anything. You brought her up well. Not picky. Oh, I have to go upstairs. (Master, I just wanted to tell You that despite all the things that You said, and all the things that You are not satisfied (with), but we are very, very grateful to be part of Your family. And this is really like a dream. Very much like a dream.) You enjoy yeah? (Yes. Thanks a lot. Thank You.) Good. Good. I’m glad. I’m glad. Now you remind me I had to go upstairs soon, quickly and go! You guys can go, don’t have to wait for me. I have to take care of the new people. (Master, this vegan kimchi is very delicious.) Oh, delicious. Kimchi? So special. (Kimchi with steamed glutinous rice.) No wonder. The glutinous rice makes it different. Is it something special of Taoyuan? Specialty of Taoyuan? (Taoyuan.) Specialty. (Yes.) I’ve never tasted this kind of food before in other places. (Yes.) Can you eat this type of thing? Agar-agar. No? (I don’t know.) For fun. Not much. Oh, they bring again. I know it! (A jelly made from luffa gourd.) Thanks a lot. You’re very generous. The two of you haven’t eaten yet. That guard hasn’t eaten yet. I have one piece here left. Did you eat? Go eat. OK. You eat every week. Did you eat diligently even when I was not here? So fortunate. What a good life! The kitchen team treats you so nicely, that you’ve become attached to them. Have you? When we go upstairs, it’s not too noisy, you can tell me again. (Yes, OK. I just said that we are very grateful and happy. We are happy to be a part of Your family.) Oh! (And we love You.) “And we love You,” I hear that. That - no need translation. Thank you. We are going up soon. You guys eat… (Are You getting a massage after that? A massage. Are You getting a lot of Thai massage?) Massage! (Yes!) No, no. I am very ticklish. (Oh.) Thank you. (You’re welcome.) Everybody is dying to massage me. I always say, “No, no, no, no.” Sensitive. Cheers! (Dear Master. It was a long time ago I came to see You. It was 2006) Oh. (that last I saw You. Do You permit me to come with them? Can I come with them, sit with them, with new initiates? Can I come?) Yeah, sure. (Yeah? Thank You.) Can do. (Thank You.) This is also very good. They keep bringing, so I have to eat something. Did you eat this? Good? Want some more? Yes? No? No? (I’ll take it.) You are learning. Good, come. Good disciple. (Thank You, Master.) There, all mine now. Want some? Here. This is so small. I’m worried it’ll run down the side. What’s that? I try to get rid of it, it comes more. You guys still want to eat it, That is sweet potato. The Latin Americans, they like them. That’s why I give you the whole thing. He’s behind you. Latin Americans, they like sweet potato. This is new. Sure you don’t want some? (I’ll try it.) You’re so shy! Why are you so shy? You should stay and then you’ll learn something. In the Ashram, if you are shy, everybody else wants it. Right? Want some? Sure. Very good. Tell me about your country. They have an ocean? Or inland? (Pardon, Master?) You have sea around? (No.) Water? (But not in Ludhiana, not in Punjab, but in India there is.) Yeah, I know. I know. (Yes, but not in Punjab.) Not where you live, right? (No, no.) Oh, I like the ocean. I don’t know why. Wow, more food! Tastes good. Yum, yum, yum, yum. I like this one. I like this one. This one. I like the gourd. Anybody else want, raise hand. Take some! One person, come here. You didn’t have enough? You want some more food? You are still hungry? If you are, you go ask the kitchen for more. They have some. I just like this, like an appetizer. Good? No need. (It’s all right. It’s just a little bit. Master hasn’t eaten any.) Yes, I ate a lot already, and you still keep serving. Thank you. You need something more? (It’s OK.) Eat for fun if you can. If you have any problem, you tell the... whoever is responsible here. Any group will take you to the doctor. We have a doctor in the house. And I told her to stay here to take care of you, so she’s here 24/7. Good idea. It’s for the kitchen. Put them together for the kitchen team. I don’t want to go to work. I want to sit here, eat. Seems like a good job. Sit here, everybody loves you and you eat. Oh, good job. Why go anywhere else? We have translation. Look. Korean, no? Ah! Chinese. Chinese only. Good, good. Only for translation into Chinese? You want a banana? (I ate already one banana.) Have more. Because you only have fruit, you didn’t eat other things. Good. I feel embarrassed now to stay here, so I have to go. Go upstairs. OK. Let’s go upstairs.

Parents Are the Best Gift on This Planet, Part 3 of 5

I am from the Giri tradition. (OK.) The oldest tradition of monkhood in India. (Yes.) Giri. (Giri.) From Patanjali, you know? (OK.) Old, old, old monk tradition, but not official. Just one Indian monk blessed me into the order of Indian Giri tradition, but not like I have a paper or anything. Thirty some years ago. Forty, thirty years ago.I love America. (They love You too.) I’m just too tired now. If I go there, I have to either marry or do something in order to stay. I’m not American. (You are!) Honorary citizen. (Yes, that means You are.) Many times, but officially you have to be American or married or naturalized or do something to stay in America. (Oh no. No. Honorary - You are. We can take care of that. Don’t worry. They honor You. That’s an honor for them.) I know, but... (that You are an American citizen and You can come and live there.) I know, but to be… To stay in America, you have to have an official passport. (I’m sure if You decided to come there and stay there, they’re going to make everything ready for You.) Ah! You think like that? (Of course!) That’s what you think! (Really? I’ll marry You. That’s what people do for love.) Thank you, thank you. Nowadays, you can. Yes. Yes. Nowadays, it’s legal to marry the same sex. No problem. They will question me why I came all the way from Taiwan (Formosa) just to marry you. (No, I can just…or I’ll figure out.) They will think it’s a fake. There are many countries I could stay. Many. America is one that I like. (And You know how everything is, the situation in America I am sure if You could live there, that would be a great help. Actually, all over the world. And I’m sure that all over the world they need You. People, they love You there.) I know. Tell that to the Taiwanese (Formosan). (Tell to who? Taiwanese [Formosan]? Oh, yes. Sure. Everybody. Everybody loves You.) Tell this to the Aulacese (Vietnamese), to the Taiwanese (Formosan), to the Mongolians, to the Koreans, to the... etc. (Yes. I know.) There is a prediction that I should stay in Taiwan (Formosa), so I have a good excuse to stay here. (I see.) Anybody want something? Oh, careful. (Please, Master. We are here to request You to come to India.) What? I know the... The Mongolians say the same, the Koreans say the same, the Chinese say the same, the Aulacese (Vietnamese)... Oh, they keep pressuring me, pressuring me all the time. (But India really wants You.) I love India. Believe it. (Yes.) Believe it or not. I love India. Sometimes I still think about that. (Oh, You should. You should make it a future tense.) How do I stay there? (We’ll arrange, Master, if You come.) You can arrange? (We have three Centers there.) Oh, I can go there and work for you, right? (Yes.) A working permit, right? (Yes.) Good idea, otherwise, I don’t need. I just shave my head or grow a beard and wear a saffron (robe) and I just go anywhere, nobody checks, nothing. In India, they don’t check you. If you are a sadhu, they don’t check. (Yes.) (Yes.) Good idea. (Thank You. Thank You, Master.) I forgot that. If I come, I just tell you to prepare me a few saffron robes and then that’s it. I stay anywhere, nobody asks you anything. Right? (Yes.) In India, if the sadhu doesn’t do anything, they never ask for your passport. Sadhus don’t have any passport. They have only a staff, a jug for water, that’s all. (Now everything has changed, Master. Now, everything has changed, Master.) Oh, yeah? (Yes, really.) In India, a monk has to have a passport? (Yes.) (Has to have everything now, yes.) Have to have a house? (Yes.) I am a Hindu monk also. Yeah! (OK.) I am from the Giri tradition. Forty, thirty years ago. (OK. That’s very good, Master.) I am a Hindu monk also. I am also a Tibetan monk, also a Chinese monk. What a monk! That’s why I cannot wear any monk’s robe because I am all mixed. Are you OK? Do you need anything else? Chamomile tea? No? Is the chamomile tea ready? (Master, we can’t find the chamomile tea now.) Is it available outside? (A guard just went out looking for it. He hasn’t come back yet.) They say they’re short of chamomile, so I told them to go out and buy some outside… (We only have osmanthus tea. Master, is osmanthus tea OK?) It’s not the same. (It’s not the same?) You eat some more? You want some more food? Here, that’s all I have. Rice? Three. Looks like you could eat some more. Today, the food is very little. I don’t know why. Thank you. Vegan American cheese! Catch! For sale. What’s this? (This is water.) What’s this? (This is warm water. This is [non-alcoholic] cocktail, blueberry cocktail, which is Sprite with blueberry.) You guys don’t have? No? Don’t have? Too bad. Not bad. But I don’t know how you drink. Come. Help yourself. You want some more of this? No? Oh, this is (vegan) curry, right? Did you have (vegan) curry? Is that (vegan) curry? Curry. (Can I give it to the monks to share?) Why? Did they want it? OK, sure! I didn’t know they want it. I didn’t know you want it. I only give it to them, kids in our family. I don’t dare give it to other people. There is more, if you want it. Yeah, monks. I said, I only give to my family kids. Outside, I don’t dare. But they want it, so I say, “OK, take it.” Like not respectful. At-home kids, I don’t care. I throw anything, they eat. Especially she always sits next to me. And anything she likes, anything. She never says, “No, Master. I don’t like that.” Or “No, I am too full.” No matter what, always! They always laugh at her. I say, “Well, she likes it. Why don’t you guys do the same?” Yeah. Envy for nothing. What’s this? (Eggplant.) Thank you. It’s delicious! Wow! (Sweet and sour vegan pork ribs.) Delicious. Thank you. Do you want it? You want? (Thank You, Master.) Wow! That’s a lot. Thank you. OK? The monks are like these kids, even ask for my things. I don’t dare to give them, because I’ve taken a bite. It’s OK for my kids; at home they eat whatever I throw at them. Wow! What is that? ([Vegan] Apple pie.) (Vegan) Apple pie! Wow! Are you here? Come. Wow! Oh, wow, wow, wow! Here. For you. My hand is clean. (Thank You, Master.) She’s come back already. It’s for you only. This is not bad. You guys want this? (This is gelidium jelly.) Oh, thank you. No, I think you have enough. This is for the kitchen. (For the kitchen.) For the kitchen. (OK. Thank You.)

Parents Are the Best Gift on This Planet, Part 2 of 5

Never mind. I survive. You know what Heaven told me a few days ago? Higher Heaven told me. Not like when I was sad or anything, just normal time and then They just told me, “Try to survive.” It sounds scary. “Try to survive.” “Live long for others.” The two sentences They told me four, five days ago. What’s that? (Water first. Someone will bring the chamomile tea which is still being prepared and will be brought here later.) Where’s the monk? Why didn’t the monk come in here to eat? Where’s the monk? The monk physician. (Master, she’s coming in a moment. The monk will come later. She’s coming.) OK. (The monk went to take some medicine. She will be back soon.) OK. Have you arranged a car for her? Otherwise, it will be too slow if she has to run. You know, but to be president is a terrible position. (Yours too.) I am free. I can say what I want. (Yes, but Your position too is not so easy.) I know. (I wouldn’t like to be You...) I know, I know. (...in Your shoes.) I know, but different, not political pressure. Thanks a lot. She went to get your medicine; later she’ll give it to you. The Chinese people, they have a secret tradition to know which point in your body will release your pain. Therefore sometimes, no need for much medicine. (Yes.) And now, the Westerners start to learn also from the Chinese: pressure puncture, acupuncture. Yes. Have to wash hands. You might as well stay here and act as a doctor. Why go home? Wash hands. (Then, I’ll bring my cat here.) Your cat? Let’s talk about it later. Here we have dogs, so I’m afraid that he… (I have been working in the Hsihu medical team not long after I received initiation.) I know. Can’t you leave the cat at home for your elder sister to take care of? (OK.) Yes. I can give her money if needed. Does she have enough? (God always gives her enough.) Good. Then just come here and earn more merits. It’s all the same, eating and sleeping, if you stay at home. And here it’s also the same, eating and sleeping. Good. I’ll arrange a place for you to stay. (I’ve thought about staying here today.) Huh? (I did think of staying here today.) Good. OK. But what about your clothes and other stuff? (I’ve brought them with me.) Have you brought enough? Enough for a couple of days? (It’s OK. I have a car. I’ll go home when there’s nothing here to do.) You can ask someone to buy it for you. When you stay here, just tell them whatever you’d like to have. I’ll pay for it. Go wash your hands and eat. You must be starving. It really worked immediately? I tell you. If you stay here, you can get healthy quicker. Time to eat. Two is enough, or just one. Have you all eaten, everybody? Cameramen also? OK. Hey, you big guy, you can eat the double portion. Take it over to you. The Indian, also double. I didn’t know you could be so capable. (No, it’s really the healing energy field that worked. It’s all done by God.) Yes, it’s good to think like that. (When I act as an instrument, I don’t use my mind at all. It all comes from my intuition. When I was in Mongolia and Korea, I didn’t understand their language at all. But it’s the healing energy field…) Can be like that. (that was healing.) Yes, it can. (I’m just an instrument.) Yes, it can be like that. It’s better like that. (Yes.) It’d be troublesome if you think you’re doing it. (Yes.) You’d create karma. (Yes, yes.) OK. Then you just stay. (OK.) Send your cat to someone else to take care. For the sake of all beings, why are you still attached to a cat? (OK. I’ll talk to my elder sister. OK. Thank You, Master.) You’re welcome. I’m just afraid that you don’t want to stay. If you stay, you can just tell them whatever you need without having to pay for anything. No need for you to pay. Long-term residents… (Master, I still have some money.) I know. (When I am in need of money, I’ll let You know. Thank You, Master.) OK. That’s what Long-term residents do. Working staff takes care of them. The first time I can eat my food alone. Normally, everybody takes. Today I don’t give anything. You eat yours; I eat mine. Mine. Today I learn to be selfish. Otherwise, I will be too weak. We should stay here every day; every Sunday they have good food. At home we don’t have such good food. Not fair. We work a lot and we don’t have good food. Just come here on holiday and then have good food. (It is a long time, Master, You didn’t eat. One day You have not eaten.) First meal. (First meal after one day?) First and last. (Oh, it’s a lot.) Enough. (It’s a lot.) Enough. You see the way I talk? (Yes.) I’m not tired because of no food. I’m tired because of stress, work, mental stress. And when you practice meditation a lot, your body and your cells are not like normal day-to-day cells. And then any stress makes more trouble. Me, for me. Sensitive! You are dreaming. I dream the same all these years. I wish I had. What happened? You need something more? More fruit? (No, it’s OK.) Sometimes you have people help you, but they also bring more problems. And it’s too close to escape. You have to be in a very intimate relationship in order to really help, like a husband and wife or something, or real sister and brother, or sisters. Very difficult to find. And I am kind of a lone type of person. My fault. It’s my fault. (I always do wish to do something for You.) Thank you. (And at this time, but the maya takes me down so much.) No need. Thank you. (I will try very, very hard so I imagine that maybe I can, but…) Never mind. I survive. You know what Heaven told me a few days ago? Higher Heaven told me. Not like when I was sad or anything, just normal time and then They just told me, “Try to survive.” It sounds scary. “Try to survive.” “Live long for others.” The two sentences They told me four, five days ago. It sounds scary. “Try to survive.” My God! What talk is that? It’s not like comforting, saying, “OK, don’t worry. You will live and we’ll help You,” no, “Try to survive!” (It’s too difficult for me to understand Heaven’s plan, why they do not quickly send more helpers to You.) Thank you, thank you. Really thank you. Very kind of you. You cannot just have everything. How did you make her come back to life so quickly? Huh? (It’s God’s Power.) Oh. You also have to know where to press, otherwise, it’ll be very painful if you pressed the wrong place. Pressure. (I told a sister this morning that we’re enjoying a happy time now.) Did you learn? (I’ll give her the acupuncture treatment in the evening after finishing all these.) OK. (Thanks to Master’s grace.) You’re welcome. She will give you acupuncture later on. (OK.) She’ll let you enjoy a little bit now, and later, more work. She is good, huh? (Very good.) It’s OK? Today is so-so, not extraordinary like the other day. It’s their fault. Not your good food karma. Normally we eat very well. Taipei cooks good. Kaohsiung, good. I don’t know others. Normally I don’t ask. At home do they cook anything? (Yes, Master.) Thank you for the (vegan) lasagna. Very good! You can cook so many things. No wonder she likes you. For the food! His ex-wife liked him, wanted to take him home, back home. He didn’t go, I don’t know why. You’re not Indian, that’s why. Indians, they don’t divorce. You two knew each other or arranged by parents? (Arranged by parents.) Same, same everywhere. (Twenty-eight. Twenty-eight years ago.) And it’s still good, it looks like. I think their system’s not bad. Because when you’re in love with somebody, you’re blind. You don’t see other people’s faults and you don’t try to accommodate. And later you’re disappointed. But if parents arrange and you accepted already, what to do? (It was instilled in us that you like it or don’t like it, you have to stay together. If they became yours, you have to love him for the rest of your life.) Too bad, they’re just done. So, like this they don’t think too much; go or not, or stay. It’s more settled. Finished. And that’s why in India, they have happy marriages, a lot. Very little divorce. Nowadays maybe, but… I thought nowadays you didn’t arrange marriages anymore. Still do? But they check, they check everything – the compatibility, family background, (Family backgrounds, yes.) education, what you like, what you don’t like, both the same or not. Difficult, but they find it. Twenty years, still happy! (Twenty-eight years.) Look happy. So they’ve done a good job. Done a good job to find a good husband and wife for you. What are you doing in India that you’re gone so long? Business OK? (Jewelry business.) Jewelry. My design. (They look good.) Real stone? (Yes.) Good. We got some from India also – stones. I forget which ones. (Master, I really love Your ring. It’s beautiful.) What is beautiful? (The ring that You wear. And I just wanted to ask You when are You going to come back to America? I have another Center in Los Angeles. Because the Center that we have is so… too far. We have to drive three, four hours to get there. Please come back there. And we need You in America. We need You here too.) I love America. (They love You too.) I’m just too tired now. If I go there, I have to either marry or do something in order to stay. I’m not American. (You are!) Honorary citizen. (Yes, that means You are.) Many times, but officially you have to be American or married or naturalized or do something to stay in America.

Parents Are the Best Gift on This Planet, Part 1 of 5

Parents Are the Best Gift on This Planet, Part 1 of 5

Parents are the best gift on this planet. Even my parents were not biological, but when they came to see me in Hong Kong for maybe some weeks, oh I felt like a child again. I felt so happy, happy. I felt like I could be irresponsible because I’m a kid. I felt that light, that free.(I love You, Master.) I go to the kitchen. Hallo! Love you guys. (I love You, Master. Hallo, Master.) Go eat. My kitchen is small. If there is room, those from China or Âu Lạc (Vietnam) who just got initiated can come in. If there is no room, they need to go to another place to have their meal. If I don’t take it, he will feel sad. If I take it, he won’t let me pay for it. I can’t do that. Is it here? OK, very good, very good. Go eat, otherwise, the buses will have to wait too long. Hallo. Is there food inside? (Yes.) I didn’t say I would come. Do you prepare food every Sunday? (Yes.) Do you prepare whether I come or not? (Yes.) (We prepared food for 150 people.) OK. Food for 150 people. We have 172, cannot (feed) all of them. All the foreigners can go inside quickly. And the new initiates can come in and eat. Those from China and Âu Lạc (Vietnam). Those from Taiwan (Formosa), no. (Let’s cheer for ourselves.) You have been eating for several decades. And you still want to eat? OK. (Love You.) Only those who just got initiated. You need to screen well. OK? Can’t let everyone in. There is not enough room. I am sorry. Only new initiates. New initiates and foreign initiates. OK? Check clearly if they are new initiates. OK? The Supreme Master TV (team), you can come here and leave a place for people. We don’t have enough places. We don’t have enough room, so the Supreme Master TV (team) come around here. We don’t have enough room, so other places are for other people. You’re OK there? You want to sit with us? (I’m not hungry.) What do you want to eat then? (Nothing.) Nothing? You’re breatharian? You cannot eat today? (Now I don’t feel well.) Go get a doctor quickly. (No, it’s OK.) No, we have this natural medicine. It helps you recover also, not just stop the pain. You take some, half an hour later you’ll feel hungry, you can eat. Is there someone here? A doctor, OK? (OK. I will go find a doctor.) Natural medicine for her. (OK.) You tell him what kind of problem you have first. What? You have pain or… (I can talk to You.) Come here, tell me. You don’t sit too near the monks. It’s right in front of them, no good for them. We make offerings to the Buddha, Dharma and Sangha. Wish everyone and all beings have enough food, whatever they need. Thank You. Amen. Amitabha Buddha. Eat, please. No more people? We have room here. I thought we didn’t have enough space, but there are not many people here. Why don’t you let them in? Where are the new initiates from China? Let the new initiates from Âu Lạc (Vietnam) come in. Quick. Help yourself. Enjoy. You see, not only your child, they are all like children, babies. When they talk to me, they’re like babies. I have to take care of everything. I told them this morning, “Grow up. Please grow up. I don’t have time to take care of babies.” All that, written already. Still wait for me. Wait for Mama. I have to say, “Oh, please! Go. See your parents!” I have to talk to her, in order for them to see you over there already. And this I’ve written already, very clearly. No? (Initially in the morning, she said, “I am going with you”) Oh. (but while coming she said,) Oh. (“I don’t know if I am allowed or not.”) Oh. Bad Master! Oh! (No, no. She said, “There’s nobody in the office. Maybe I have to share. I did not get any… I mean I am not sure I can leave and go.”) Why not? But I already arranged for you to go. (Oh. But…) Never mind. (Thank You, Master.) It’s better than too abruptly casual; it’s still better. You brought her up well, too well. Too well, now I have to re-educate her that here we’re free. You are over… (You love her so much, Master. She’s all for You. She said, “I don’t want to come back, mama. I am so happy there.”) OK. I don’t know why she’s so happy. Are you guys happy? (Yes.) Why? I don’t often see them a lot, just sometimes. Sometimes, some special thing, then I share with them to eat, that’s all. Mostly we don’t talk a lot. We’re busy. It’s good. Too bad that she cannot see you here. You just stay here, I’ll send for her. I will have to work again, “Now please come see your parents; they don’t have a lot of chance to see you.” Children, they don’t understand. They think you live forever and you can see them all the time, anytime you want or anytime they want. You’re always there anyway, so what’s the hurry? They never know life is not certain. Parents are the best gift on this planet. Even my parents were not biological, but when they came to see me in Hong Kong for maybe some weeks, oh I felt like a child again. I felt so happy, happy. I felt like I could be irresponsible because I’m a kid. I felt that light, that free. But I could not always see them; the situation is different. In India you can always see, so you take it for granted. Enjoy your meal! Anyone else, cameramen or something, go eat. Hufa (Guards) take turns; go eat, please. (OK.) Any more new initiates who did not come? Security guards, go take a look, OK? When you come here on Sundays, if I am not here, do you eat over there? (Yes, Master, yes.) Wow. You are so lucky. I don’t have such delicious food at home, not even on Sundays. Is it good? (Very good.) You’re hungry, anything is good. I thought she’d gone with the parents, so I didn’t tell you to take her. (Yes.) I said, “OK, then that’s one car, enough for you because going with the parents already.” They’d told me, “Gone already.” When I asked, they said, gone already. It’s good. It’s OK. She is just still a kid. You spoil her so much, that’s why. Only young kids stay at home. If she didn’t come here, probably she’d stay with you until 40, 50, 70, I don’t know. That kind of kid, so very attached to the parents. Give her more fruit. You can give her more fruits. Are you feeling a little better? You eat what you want. If anything else, you ask. Water, water. She cannot drink this kind. Do we have chamomile tea? Make a cup of chamomile tea for her. I told them to make you chamomile tea. It will help. They are coming. I don’t know why nobody asked me to be the president of any country. I can do many things. I really take care of people. I just realized I can be president. (But the problem is the actual president wants only the power. They don’t want to help the people. So, the mentality has to change before we change the president.) I know. Very difficult for a president to help also, because of political struggling. Some presidents are very good but have to go through congress and parliament and local government, etc. Very difficult.

Sutta Nipāta: Dhaniya the Cattleman, Part 9 of 9

Sutta Nipāta: Dhaniya the Cattleman, Part 9 of 9

Nowadays, our world is very advanced, but also there are disadvantages. People can just do anything. They don’t care about the consequences; the karma, they don’t even know about it. So, it’s very difficult for any good person to sometimes defend themselves.Because if you’re famous and loved, you’ll also have enemies and foes. And they gossip and they tell people things that are not true about you. You know that over the years, especially the Taiwanese (Formosan), they should know better. And then one of these guys, always, whenever I’m with him, I will have problems with the police. Even if I drive my own car, suddenly some other car… and then we would have some problems. I would have to go to the police, and fingerprints, mug shot, until it’s cleared up. Or they come search my house because, because, because… No end! Or I will have enmity from the neighbor, one guy, another guy, always. And until I find out, nowadays, it’s kind of so many. I crossed so many out of my list, and mostly, I do everything myself, except nowadays, I’m too busy to cook for myself, otherwise I would also. I have people who can help me, but I do whatever I can. Only when I cannot, like heavy furniture, then I have to call somebody to help me. Because you don’t know; people bring you a lot of garbage. And some people even maybe admire you too much, and then it becomes more like physical. And then, if they cannot have you, they have you in their mind and all kinds of things, and make you sick; make you even have stomach pain and headache… you have no idea. And they don’t look the part. They don’t look it, so you cannot have any suspicion. They all look very good.I also was on the internet, all over, with all kinds of names, I don’t even know. Only when somebody told me, then I knew. I said, “Oh yeah? Really?” That’s that. What can I do? Nowadays, we have internet. Anybody can say anything on the internet. And I don’t have time to trace them or to defend myself. I have no time. I don’t even know all of them.Sometimes the so-called disciples, they know it and they try to take it off. But already some people know. And whatever is written already on like newspapers, or television, is archived. It won’t go away. It will stay there, and then other people may go to the library, read it or see it, and they believe what is printed. They don’t know me. They believe what is there on the newspaper. Even if it’s already cleared, but some people do not know. You cannot clear everybody. Like, 100 people read that newspaper before, and only some will read it again in the next few days or the next week. And then they’d still think bad about whoever is blemished on there.Nowadays, our world is very advanced, but also there are disadvantages. People can just do anything. They don’t care about the consequences; the karma, they don’t even know about it. So, it’s very difficult for any good person to sometimes defend themselves. Very difficult. Especially, (as) we’re practitioners, we cannot sue anybody. I don’t. I don’t anyway. I don’t. Also, I don’t have time. Even if I wanted to sue somebody to clear my name, I must also have time. So, don’t be too proud if you have a lot of servants in your house. You never know. Sometimes suddenly, you have problems, you have disasters. It could be caused by their karma. Some people bring disaster into your life. They don’t look it. They’re very diligent and working, they don’t know. Some people bring it into my life, that’s why I know. Your life I cannot trace and tell you, but my life I know. So many problems just because of the so-called helpers around. Some people bring problems with the police, so even if I can drive well, suddenly I’ll have an accident, for example like that. So, police have to come. Or my car breaks down or something like that, and I have no choice but to stay there to wait for the police, with all kinds of information, etc.And maybe the opponent makes trouble, and wastes a lot of time. And some people come, even sometimes they practice, but they don’t practice very well, and their hormones override them, and they also make trouble for me. Maybe not physically, or sometimes even physically; it gives you a headache and stomach pain. It’s too vicious, too zealous. You cannot always defend or do anything against such an invisible attack, especially when you did not expect it. And sometimes, some people come and then cause you a lot of reputation loss, or money loss, a house or land loss. It happened to me over these years. I cannot remember everything.Money loss, OK. Land loss is not bad. But reputation loss is sometimes really big. Not because of my name, but it hinders my work, making a lot of people misunderstand me and… Make a lot of trouble for disciples as well, for my work. But you can’t avoid all this if you are a Master. I mean if you’re a true Master, there’s nothing you can do about it, unless you don’t want any disciples, or very few. Like Bodhidharma, five. The others are just followers. Five disciples. Many Masters didn’t have a lot. Don’t have, didn’t have. They don’t want to; they know. Just troublemakers. It’s OK to have disciples to help them, but some, they don’t practice at all. They just want to come and stick around because they have nothing better to do. They just want to be the clown, just to bother. And bring their bad energies inside your house, your ashram. And then sometimes make you lose your control also. And then people would think, “Oh, what a bad Master, yelling like that.” But in India, they don’t care about this. In India, if a Master yells at them, they’d say, “Ah! We know, You’re trying to yell at us, to fool us, so that we think You’re bad, so that we can leave You. We won’t leave You!” They know all these tricks already. Indian people, right? Right, Indians? (Yes.) (Yes.) Right? Correct, right? (Yes.) Tell me, tell me.(They don’t care about all these things that the papers and the TV tell. Even my previous master had big problems in 2012.) What? What did they do? What did he do? He didn’t do anything! (No. He didn’t. He has his disciples; some of his disciples built some houses over there, nearby. Houses, like a villa.) Gave him houses? (No. And they were selling to outside people, whoever wanted to stay nearby. Like, you know our ashram is there, outside nearby, some of the disciples want to buy a house, and they can live there and come to the ashram regularly like that.) Yes. (The other disciples, some group of disciples did that. So, he got a bad reputation because he was doing that real estate business, all his fame was gone away, and the TV and the newspapers made a big mess for him.) Just because some disciples bought some houses nearby him? (The group of people made a real estate business out of it.) Oh! (His disciples.) Thinking that the master was making business. (Yes, and the newspaper, TV made him a big mess,) What for he cares about houses? ([saying] this master is behind all of this real estate business, and all that.) No need. If he wants, the disciples will offer all, [as] much money [as] he wants, how much he wants. He doesn’t have to make business. If you’re a famous master, you can ask disciples to donate all the time. (Yes.) I’m the only one who doesn’t ask. Not the only one, but I’m one of those who doesn’t ask. But if you’re famous, like her master for example, and in India, they follow all the time. And they’d give him anything he wants. Build houses, a palace for him if he wants. So, he has no need to make any business. (The master didn’t have any problem. He didn’t have any profit out of it.) Yeah, of course. (But because of the other disciples,) Because of that, his bad name. (the group of disciples, he got a bad name.) Ohh! Yes. (And we’re also stuck with that real estate business.) Yeah, I know. (We bought houses and we were stuck...) Oh, man. What for does he need that? He doesn’t need anything. If he just said one word, he would have millions in no time. (Yes.)In India, there’s a beautiful holy woman guru. She only hugs people; people give her millions! (Yes.) She didn’t even ask for it. And she uses it just to donate out again, or to build houses for her disciples. These people, they don’t need money. They don’t care. They see through whatever illusions of this world. So, that’s wrong. People should know, if he’s so famous, he doesn’t need to make business anymore.OK. You know already. It’s similar things, all the time, that happen to me, and worse. That is why I told you before: Don’t just drag anybody into our group just because you want to have more disciples. You have to watch them, if they’re good or not, if they’re really pure and sincere. Don’t drag them in just for the crowd sake. Just make me more trouble and make you more trouble. What to do?Even when I first met the vice president of Taiwan (Formosa), the former vice president, she came to visit me for the first time. And she told our disciples, she said, “Oh, I knew Her too late.” Meaning, she understood too late that I am not what other people said about me, bad things about me, and she knew too late. And afterwards, she went out talking for me, like my spokesperson. At that time, I had not even met her yet. One time, she came here, and she told me, many people also attacked her, hindered her other work for Taiwan (Formosa). So, I said to her, “Oh, you know already, good people often have this kind of treatment.” And she said she knows, she knows. She knows my example. But I don’t feel too bad, not really that bad. I just feel sorry that people can be so blind. So blind, deaf, and dumb. (They) have eyes, how come (they) don’t see? They have brains, why can (they) not analyze and see the truth and the logic? The maya cast a curtain on everybody. They’re just victims also. It’s not just “I” (who’s) the victim, or your Master (who’s) a victim, but those who blemish your Master, other Masters’ names, also are victims. Victims of gossip, victims of maya, victims sometimes of their own jealousy or ignorance, even among my own disciples. Sometimes, if I have two people work for me, if this (one) thinks I like the other (one) better or use him more, then also jealousy comes out. It’s very difficult for me to keep somebody long, because of jealousy, because of misunderstandings, because of ignorance or low-level thinking. OK. That is that.If you please, go down and sit below there. I’ll meditate with you for a while and then I won’t walk over your heads. You sit where you are. Only the middle, just one little catwalk for me. You can sit around here. We’ll meditate for a while, symbolic, then I’ll go back and do my work. I still have a lot of work. Every day, every day. The reason I told you that I have a lot of work and I have no time, is so that you know. So that you don’t feel like, “Master, why don’t You sit with us? Why don’t (You) be with us longer? Why don’t (You) come eat with us?” Why this? Why that? All right. Lights off. Everything off. Camera off.

Sutta Nipāta: Dhaniya the Cattleman, Part 8 of 9

00:27:07

Sutta Nipāta: Dhaniya the Cattleman, Part 8 of 9

People bring not just their physical strength to help you, they bring their stacks of karma. Oh, you have no idea. If you knew, you would be very scared. That’s why many rich people or the king and big politicians, they don’t fare very well, because they have too many helpers and they didn’t know about the karmic consequences. There is one guy who wears nothing; no shirt, no clothes, but he’s always happy, happy, happy. And sometimes it rains, sometimes he’s scorched by the sun. Some people come and say, “You have hands, you have feet. You go out, do some work and then earn money, so that you can put some clothes on your back and have something in your possession, then you’ll be better.” He said, “No, I am happy now. I’m very happy.” They said, “Why are you happy? If you have some things, you will be happier.” He said “No, if I have anything, you think I’ll still be happy like now?” It means he knows whatever he has will cause another trouble. It’s true like that.Even if we have our clothes, the more beautiful, the more trouble. You have to take good care of it. Luckily, I don’t have to because there are some experts in my company. I will send it to them and they help me to wash and then I put it on for, I don’t know what, advertisement. “Master wore that! You want to buy some?” For example. Otherwise, if I’m alone, I won’t be wearing this. Or if I have to wash them myself, I don’t think I would. It’s too much trouble. My mobile home now is small; they said it’s small. They told me it’s made from a container and very small, because I warned them already, I can’t have it too big. Still, it’s too big for me. They still tried to squeeze another room in front and another room on the left. The bedroom.Of course, I appreciate their kindness. I paid. Don’t think I get it from them. I don’t want to. So, the mobile home even, they made it from a container. Cargo container from the ship? Some are bigger, some smaller. They told me a cargo container, I thought it was small. Immediately, one month, it’s all done. No, they made it bigger and then bigger and then it’s two months, two months and a half. So OK, fine. I accept it. Well, because they made a living room like a normal house, and attached to it is a little kitchenette. And in the front, there is a little coffee room, [with a] Japanese chair; sit on the floor drinking coffee. If I have time to even make a coffee. They truly have no idea. All of you have no idea that I am munching a (vegan) sandwich, signing my documents at the same time. Meditating while petting my pets at the same time. And washing my teeth, while checking some Supreme Master Television clips at the same time. How have I even leisure to make a coffee? Sit there and sipping like a princess. So, that room is a waste, but I can’t take it off. It’s attached. Just like you cannot free yourself from your husband. You are attached to each other by some invisible cement. So, I don’t blame you. My house, I cannot detach that part. Of course, I can. I have to call experts to come in, pull away the wall, that piece of roof, and then seal it all back again. It would take another month, with all the mess to clean up and everything to fix back it again. Because they also made a balcony, and then you’d have to take the balcony away first and wrap it back again. Oh, my God! So, I said forget it, fine. And they made a bedroom also. Bedroom with a… Ah! How to say? You call it queen size bed, maybe? Not a king size, but it must be a queen size. They think I’m a queen, so I deserve a queen size bed. I lied on it once. It’s truly comfortable. It’s the best bed you can have. Beautiful sheets and satin-like linen. When I came, it was still hot and you lie on this cool sheet, and cover yourself with this satin. I didn’t cover myself. I was worried I’d go to sleep, because it’s too comfortable.I left it there for maybe a couple of weeks. I didn’t know what to do with it. I just lied on it once and it’s too comfortable, very comfortable. I’m worried [what] the Buddha said, “You don’t lie on high and wide bed.” And I was thinking, I have to study that “why” first, before I really sleep on that bed. It’s very comfortable how they made the bed. The room is small, but the bed is big, and even has a little small reading chair and a table. It looks very nice. Truly very nice, very simple, but nice. And then, before I went to sleep, I immediately had to jump out of the bed. I have a lot of work to do. If I lied there, I would sleep, maybe forever and go to nirvana as well. So, after moving all my dresses and stuff into the new house, I was still thinking where to put it. First, I put them in the new cave. And then later, I said, it’s too far away from the main house. I can’t afford to keep running back and forth. Maybe I’ll forget a lipstick or I’ll just draw only one eyebrow and forget the other. Then, I have to run again to the cave to get a pencil. And if the pencil is broken, then I have to… etc.And the bathroom is in the middle. And so, if I go in and out and if I wear this kind of beautiful dress, the rain will rain in. I cannot say, “Go ahead and rain, god! I am going to the meditation hall now. Just rain.” So, very inconvenient. Because my time is really very tight. So, I took out the bed, with some little regret, I have to confess. Because I tried once, a few minutes, and it’s really comfortable. For a long time I didn’t have this kind of comfortable, physical feeling, especially when you’re older and your bones kind of don’t stay where they’re supposed to stay. So, in such a bed, it’s really regulated, very comfortable. So, I was also afraid that I would be too comfortable. Because if I’m too comfortable, I might not to be able to remember other people who don’t have enough comfort. So, out it went. Out, out!And then I put all my dresses and everything in there, next to my working office, so it’s convenient. Because I work sometime, and then I take a little break or something, then in those few minutes, I can go and arrange my things. Because it was not arranged; when it first came, it was all in suitcases and bags. So, it was very convenient. They moved all the things in, a long time ago, but because it’s in the cave far away, and when I work, and in just a few minutes, I can just go there and come back again to work. But if it’s next to my little office room… The office is about two by two, about the size of this platform. And next to it is a room, a little bit bigger, and I put all my dresses and things I need there. Very convenient. And in no time, I fixed it, I arranged everything. Before, it’d been laying there too long, because out of sight, out of mind. Too lazy to go. Originally, I wanted to live in the cave. That’s why I brought all the things there. But then the dogs are with me. In the cave, there’s less room with all the dresses and table, makeup table, hats, and shoes. It’s not enough room for dogs and me. So, I thought, OK, I have to sacrifice the cave. The mobile home is good. It’s just that they made it too big.I mean, it’s not big. It’s good. Actually, it’s not very big. Just it is good for dogs to also be in there. In the beginning, when I came, it was all empty. Even the small room looked very big. And the Japanese room is also about this big. The desk here, the platform here, about that big. It’s a nice house actually, truly. It’s just that I really feel like I should just live in a small cave or room somewhere. They cheated me. They told me, “Just a small mobile home, a container, Master, just a container.” So, I thought, like the container we had before, small and simple. But they made it into a house. It looks like a country house, very nice! They put a roof on top of it, so it makes it like a real house. The container is only square or maybe rectangular. But they put a roof on it, and they cut the wall to make a house, and windows. And inside, they made some padding or some kind of, looks like columns, Roman columns, Italian, half (columns), and patched it on it. It looks like a very good house. Not quite rich, but very decent, well decorated. Now you know my secret. So, the rain god can rain.Did you eat already? (Yes.) Oh, you did, right? Oh, I came late, right? (Thank You, Master.) You enjoyed? (Yes.) (You spoil us.) Oh, spoil you. Oh, never mind, we have money. Food I can afford. Food and simple clothes.Even in my house, I have only the… So, the dressing room, I reserve it for the dogs anyway. So, my bedroom is out, my bed is out. So, I just have a little corridor to walk in and out to choose a dress. That’s all. I feel very happy, very compact. The dogs are there, dresses are there, the kitchen is there. Sofa, I just have a small sofa. You can put it up like a sofa, or you can open it and it becomes like a little bed. But that bed, you have to be careful, because the four legs are on one side, and the one that opens out has no legs. If you’re not careful, the sofa will be on top of you, instead of you on top of the sofa.My dog had that happen. And he was sandwiched in between. He was so scared. The big dog, he’s too heavy. He just turned around. If you sleep on this stable side with the four legs, you may just put an arm on the other side, or a leg on the other side, or lean a little bit. But if you completely roll over to the other side, then the sofa will sandwich you. It claps back. Or you’ll be under the sofa instead of you on top. But I am skillful. I have skillful means. All right, guys. Everything is good now, huh? (Yes.) So, I say, “The dresses are there, the dogs are there, food comes every day, so rain god, if you want, go ahead and rain.”I feel a little bit more settled now. When I first came, so many bags, so many suitcases, and I had to do it myself. I don’t want anybody else to do it for me, because then I might not be able to find what I want. Number one. Number two, I prefer to do things myself. Before, I would be happy to have helpers. Nowadays, I know the truth. People bring not just their physical strength to help you, they bring their stacks of karma. Oh, you have no idea. If you knew, you would be very scared. That’s why many rich people or the king and big politicians, they don’t fare very well, because they have too many helpers and they didn’t know about the karmic consequences. You truly don’t know. Some people bring you marital problems. Some people bring you gossiping problems, your reputation problems. Some people bring you any other misfortune that you don’t even know.

Sutta Nipāta: Dhaniya the Cattleman, Part 7 of 9

So, the more you have, the more trouble. Sometimes, because I have so many things, sometimes I want to just leave it all. Just go, with just one pair of clothes or two, in whatever small bag I can carry. That’s the life I had in India for at least two something years. And I was very happy, very happy. That was a very happy time, the freest time I ever felt. So free! So, the Buddha said something here: “There are no cows, no young bulls, no cows in calf or breeding cows, no great bull, the leader of the herd: So, if you want, rain god, go ahead and rain.” That’s even better. You don’t have to worry whether or not the cows will have a meadow full of grass, or where to find the water for them, or need to have a cowboy to tend to them, and need to tend to them when they’re sick, or if too much rain maybe they’ll get a cold or something. Nothing to worry about because you have nothing. There was a story about a yogi. Originally, he had nothing. Like Buddha’s disciples, he went out begging. Then he needed milk. For some reason he liked milk. So, he went out begging for milk every day, also for food. So, one of the people said, “I’ll give you a cow, so every day you can have milk. You don’t have to go out in the rain to beg for milk anymore.” So, the yogi thought, “Oh yeah, OK. Why not? That’s convenient.” So then, because he had a cow, he must have somewhere to live, so that he could have some grass or garden to keep the cow. Before, he was wandering around. So, OK, somebody else gave him a grassy yard and built him a little hut to stay (in). And then, because they built things and they brought in the utensils and all that, then he had to have somebody to wash and take care of the house. First he had a cat, and then he needed milk for the cat, and then, so he had a cow, and then he had to take care of the cow with the grass area, had to take the cow out and blah blah, and then he got tired. He thought he needed another person to help take care of the household. He had a house now, and then the cow had to be fed, and then so on and so forth. So then, he had a woman. You know the story, the rest, right? And then of course, he had children. And that’s finished. The story’s finished. No, no, no. I was wrong. I mean he is completely finished. So free! You just feel so light and so free. And even you find just some little wood to make a little fire with the three stones, and then cook your own (vegan) spaghetti, oh, you feel so good! Really. You don’t understand how good it feels; like life’s so free. You take care of yourself. I was very skinny then. Very skinny and the skin was so tanned, so dark. If I’d gone to Africa, they’d have probably taken me in any tribe. “Oh sister, welcome.” I was that dark, because I lived outdoors. And I sat on the Ganges River to dry my clothes and myself. I just couldn’t (have) cared less about sun or wind or rain. My clothes sometimes were soaking wet. I didn’t feel anything; I wasn’t sick, until I went to a warm area. Now, truly, if I could live like that again I would, anytime. If I could just forget my lovely karmas, beautiful attraction. All right. So, the cowherd still did not give up. He wanted to argue his case. So, he said, “The stakes are dug-in, immovable. The new muñja-grass halters, well woven, not even young bulls could break: So, if you want, rain god, go ahead and rain.” Meaning, he takes care of everything perfectly. Like he put the stakes very deep in the ground, so they can hold the grass and everything. And maybe the cow stable is very, very secure, even young bulls cannot break out or go in, to mess up his secure, perfect, manicured life. So, he didn’t care if it rained or shined. Very good. So, the Buddha said, “Having broken my bonds like a great bull, like a great elephant tearing a rotting vine, I never again will lie in the womb: So, if you want, rain god, go ahead and rain.” Meaning He will never be reincarnated again as a human, unless He wanted to, of course, unless He wanted to. Meaning He’s completely free already. Nirvana is the only place to go. “I never again will lie in the womb.” Wow! What a nice statement. Nice situation, nice state to have, spiritual state. Instead of worrying about the bull breaking out of the stable, Buddha broke His own prison, His own bondage, so He felt very, very free now, indeed. He knows He’s completely liberated. Wonderful! Can you say that already? Any of you? (No.) (Not yet.) Not yet? Almost. Almost there, right? A little bit. Yeah, you will be. You can. You will. I’m sure of that, because you’re very sincere. Just sooner or later, you’ll be free, completely free.If you don’t commit any great sin, like slandering the Buddha, hurting the Buddha or the sangha, or if you don’t lie about your spiritual level, to cheat others, to profit yourself, or to gain the worship of your followers, for example; if you don’t kill anyone, or any beings, then no matter how lazy you are, I can always help you, bring you up to my House, my New House. And be vegan! Vegan! Not just anything. Vegan! Make peace. All right. I guess the cowboy is dumbfounded now. He had nothing more to argue about, so he stopped. Before he said one sentence, the Buddha said another opposite sentence, and then he opposed the Buddha again, and the Buddha had to explain again, and he opposed again, again and again. Now he shut up, finally.“The great cloud rained down straight away, filling the lowlands & high. Hearing the rain god pour down, Dhaniya… Dhaniya still continued to say? I thought he shut up. So Buddha had only one minute, and then he came in now, the cowboy. “How great our gain that we have gazed on the Blessed One! We go to Him, the One with Eyes, for refuge.” He’s praising the Buddha now. He probably understood at last. “May You be our teacher, Great Sage.” He addressed the Buddha as a Great Sage. “May You be our teacher. My wife and I are composed. Let’s follow the holy life under the One Well-Gone.” “Well-Gone,” meaning He, the Buddha, is no longer in this world, even though His physical body is still there. So, he said, “Let’s follow the holy life under the One Well-Gone.” Meaning, the Liberated One, meaning the Buddha. So, they wanted to become monk and nun together. Wow! That’s a good thing. “Gone to the far shore” means “liberated.” “…of aging and death, let’s put an end to suffering and stress.” Meaning, far away from life and death, from aging and death, and suffering. Put an end to suffering as well, and all the stress. They wanted to become renunciates, Buddha’s monk disciples. And now what? Guess who is coming? (The rain.) The rain did come already. “The great cloud rained down straight away, filling the lowlands and high.” Remember? “Hearing the rain god pour down, the cowherd had said so, ‘How great our gain that we have gazed on the Blessed One!’” The rain here could mean that the true teaching of the Buddha was showering on them, so awakened them, washed them out; washed away all their accumulated dust of ignorance. And then suddenly the cattleman awakened. So, he praised the Buddha. Immediately, he wanted to leave home and live the holy life of monkhood. And go to the far away shore, away from life, death, suffering and stress. And then guess who is coming? (Śakra) Śakra, no, worse, māra, maya. Maya came in now. How? How can he be awakened so quickly? They just tended the cows yesterday, and today they want to be monks. Not possible.Let’s see what he said. “Those with children delight because of their children. Those with cattle delight because of their cows. A person’s delight comes from acquisitions, for a person with no acquisitions doesn’t delight.” You understand that? He said the opposite. He said, if you have children you will be very happy because you have children; if you have cows you will be happy because you have a lot of cows. So, people in this world are happy if they have some acquisitions, meaning possessions. They’ve got something, so they’ll be happy with that. Because if you don’t have any possessions, you won’t feel delighted. He wanted to ruin. You can see that. He wanted to pull them back to their old habitual life. Go back to your children, you wife, your cows, your house, and stuff like that. He was still trying to tempt this couple, who had already awakened and wanted to follow the Buddha, forsake every possession in the world already, and he came in. “You cannot do that, then you won’t be happy. You must be happy if you have children; you’ll be happy if you have cows, if you have possessions, because the beings will not feel happy without any possessions.” Blah, blah, blah. So, the Buddha said now, countering him: “Those with children grieve precisely because of their children.” They make trouble sometimes. “Those with cattle grieve precisely because of their cows.” A lot of work. Take care when they’re sick and a lot of tending. “A person’s grief comes from acquisitions, for a person with no acquisitions doesn’t grieve.” Nothing to lose. OK, end of the story for today.

Sutta Nipāta: Dhaniya the Cattleman, Part 6 of 9

00:30:12

Sutta Nipāta: Dhaniya the Cattleman, Part 6 of 9

I am happy that I am blessed to be able to remind some people to live a virtuous life, and to save lives apart from their own. To save them from suffering from hell, and retribution in this lifetime, and save some animals’ lives, and save maybe the planet. I am happy, of course, it’s a different happiness, it’s a bigger happiness. The Buddha: “I am in no one’s employ.” He has no boss. “I wander the whole world,” like the monks, “on the reward [of my Awakening]. No need for earnings is to be found. So, if you want, rain god, go ahead and…? (Rain.) Rain.” You know everything. What for do I keep saying anything? You see, one is relying on every material thing that he can earn and keep, to make him feel safe and proud and secure. One relies on nothing, absolutely nothing. He didn’t even earn any money. He has no boss, He has complete freedom, so He wandered around anywhere He wanted to. And He earned the reward, His upkeep, by His Awakening, and “no need for earnings is to be found.” No need to ask Him how much He earns a month; no need for paying taxes or anything.Truly, it’s really a beautiful life. When I wasn’t a Master yet, I had very little money from my working before. Not many years, but in Germany, in Europe, you can take out your pension in advance. And I even took that and offered it to some masters, or any ashram where I stayed. And at one time, I had almost nothing. But you don’t feel this heavy burden; you don’t worry about the tax payment; you don’t worry about if you’re building here, or your Ashram is legal or not. You don’t need to worry about paying for employees or buying this and that. Nothing. At that time, I was happier than now. Oh, of course, I am happy now, in different ways. It’s more satisfactory. But at that time, for the worldly situation, I was my best. That’s all I wanted to do. Not to worry about anything; not to have a house to even to pay a mortgage on, or to pay tax for my motorcycle, whether or not I pay tax on time or not. When you have something, you always worry about the things that run after you: the tax time, the business, all kinds of things. If you have a house, you have to worry about it. If it leaks, then you have to keep cleaning it. So truly, if I could have stayed in India, continued the life of a so-called disciple, or gone from one ashram to another, or just wandered around with very little possession… I had little. I had only two pairs of pajamas, punjabi, and a stick, wooden stick that I found in the forest.I truly understand what the Buddha was saying. The life of no burden, no regrets, no connection with anything, but connected to everyone. Feels so light, so beautiful, so beautiful, so free. I had less than what I have now, very, very much less. As I have told you already, I could eat some chapatis, which I baked myself, with the wood I found in the forest, dry wood. And just some water, and then boiled the water and drank. And sometimes I could afford a samosa, because I couldn’t say “no” to myself, but otherwise, I could not really afford it. I didn’t have a lot of money, but I felt so good. Compared to now, physically speaking, I feel like a prisoner nowadays. I can’t go anywhere without being recognized. Even my own kitchen [staff] want my attention, instead of giving me what I need. They want what they need and make trouble. Just to go near the Master, and want to chat, or want Master to look at you, maybe touch your head, etc. So much for selflessness, selfless lectures all these years. Humans are humans, they don’t change. So, now we continue with the two opponents. You can see the opposite. You can see the opposite kind of life.Which life do you prefer? Tell me honestly. The life of a Buddha, wandering monk, or the life of the cowherd? (Buddha.) Life of the Buddha? (Yes.) Really? Wow! Tough! Really? (Yes.) How many of you want to be like a monk, the Buddha’s life? Raise your hand. OK, stay here. I will feed you and clothe you as monks. Stay. I have enough money to feed you all your life and give you two pairs, three pairs of clothes, if you stay. If you have no problems at home, if you really think you are worth it, you can stay, I don’t mind. The life of monks also has tests. A lot of tests and temptations make you fall. Not because you are bad beings or humans, but your karma is calling everywhere, every step of your monkhood. Very difficult to go steadily, go, no. The more you want to be free, the more shackles you will find. And everybody else looks at your monk’s robe, expects things from you: blessing, praying for them, whatever. Or looking after their cows, remember, the oxen? Or building hospital for them, etc., like the Reverend Nun Cheng Yen in Taiwan (Formosa). Tzu Chi Foundation. Compassionate Association, something like that. They will expect a lot from you, and give you nothing. Maybe very little offering, an apple, an orange, and expect you to pray for their whole family and five, six generations as well. They will not just be with you, respect you, but they expect things from you. That’s what makes many monks’ and nuns’ lives difficult, because they cannot fulfill the expectations of other people, who do nothing, just want things from you. When I was invited to be an abbess in a small temple newly built in Germany – Ah! My God! I wished I had never accepted that invitation. They kept calling me all the time to the temple and especially one woman. She was telling me hours on end about how her husband was unfaithful to her, blah blah, in detail and everything. And I said, “Oh, OK, OK, that’s enough. I heard about that already. Could you please let me go? I have to go do some…” “You are not a monk! You have no compassion! You have to listen to me. You must make me feel comforted. How can You not listen to me? I am suffering! And You don’t want to listen to my pain. You are no monk! You have no mercy in Your heart!” Blah blah blah… She scolded me a lot. But after two hours already, same stuff. She keeps telling me how bad her husband is and how faithful she is, how much she is in love with him and he is not. So, I said, “You’re Buddhist. You should know, sometimes karma breaks you up or brings you together. And when the karma is finished, then there is nothing much you can do. You should accept it, move on, maybe find another husband who is more suitable for you.” No! Continued her old story all the time. Every day she talked no end. And if I wanted to stop, she scolded me, that I was no nun, that I had no love in my heart. She doesn’t care that I have to take care of all the people who come to the temple. She doesn’t care that I have to do liturgy, morning, evening service in front of the Buddha. She didn’t care. I had to listen to her no matter what time; midnight or two, three in the morning, Sunday, rainy day. Oh man!If any nun met this kind of lay disciple, I think she’d run away from the temple. Even if she continued to be a nun, she would hide herself somewhere. Nobody would find her, only monkeys or rabbits. They have no problem with you. Truly, when I lived in the Himalayas, some part of the Himalayas, many monkeys were around. And if I had some peanuts, I gave it to them. But they never quarreled with me. They never criticized me that I had no love, that I gave them only peanuts and nothing else. No. Very grateful and friendly. But if you’re with another human, just one even, you will have trouble. She will make trouble for you; she will give you trouble. She’ll give you many pieces of her mind, no matter if these pieces are good or not. She will make trouble.I was in that temple in New York. I told you. And there was one of the other nuns who came, that I told you about already, she disrobed herself, just wearing normal (clothes), didn’t want to be a nun anymore, and came to my temple and stayed there. And she always wanted to talk, about anything. She was very talkative compared to me. And I’d say, “No! Please go and bow to the Buddha or meditate. You know how to meditate. I have to go now (to) meditate.” Even if I went on retreat, she slid a lot of “love letters” under my door, complaining about anything, the whole story, always, every day. So, as long as the master abbot was not in the temple, I shut myself in my room, did retreat. She still could talk through the letter. She wrote letters and slid them under the door for me. Every day! I can’t remember what she was talking about. This is the problem. Just one more extra ex-nun and your life is different already. I don’t know why she had to talk a lot like that. Contrary to me, before I took over this job, I didn’t talk a lot. I wrote things, I read books, but I didn’t talk. I didn’t want to talk to anyone. And talking to them a little bit only, made me feel very tired, contrary to now.We continue. Do you have a bus to catch? (No.) If you have to go, you go. Don’t make trouble. Your visa, your family, your debt, your work. That’s what makes you go, nothing else. Not me.This is the cattleman talking again. They had a long conversation. Maybe they met each other and then talked. And somebody recorded it. So, the cattleman: “There are cows, young bulls, cows in-calf, and breeding cows, and a great bull, the leader of the herd: So, if you want to rain, rain god, go ahead and rain.” Meaning he has so many possessions.Animals were people’s security in the old times. If they had a lot of animals, it meant they were well-off and they were secure. Because the animals bred more siblings, ‘younglings,’ and then they would get more and more rich. And they could sell them, milk them, or do whatever, showing off. And before, in the old times, when you wanted to marry a girl, instead of SM Celestial Jewelry, you gave them cows, pigs, as a dowry. (Yes.) Yes or no? (Yes.) In Âu Lạc (Vietnam) it was like that. Also, some jewelry, if you could afford it. If not, how many cows, they would demand. And a mattress to sleep on, and some new clothes maybe. But cows, pigs, goats, that was the foremost demand for ‘my’ daughter. Imagine that. You exchange your precious, living human, beautiful being, for some cows and feel very happy!Luckily nowadays, we exchange daughters for cars, maybe. For some gold. Similar, it’s like business. So, don’t do business in your life, and the lives of your children. Of course, nowadays, money talks, you have to have it in order to feel safe. So, if you want the daughter of somebody, the father immediately asks, “How much do you earn? How much can you give? How much do you have every month, so that you can take care of yourself and my daughter?” And maybe one boy says, “Oh, about US$5,000 per month.” So, the father is happy, “OK. For that, I’ll give you another $5,000, together, so you’ll be OK then. So, how do you expect to get that $5,000? Are you working in some good job?” “No, that is from your daughter’s pocket.” From her monthly allowance. $5000. Because the daughter of the rich family, she has her monthly allowance and that is OK for him already. The father of the bride thought that he was working to earn that.

Sutta Nipāta: Dhaniya the Cattleman, Part 5 of 9

00:27:53

Sutta Nipāta: Dhaniya the Cattleman, Part 5 of 9

So, the wise thing is to be like the Buddha: Look within yourself and rely only on your Self, because you have the Buddha inside. That is the person you should look to and rely on, and be happy in His company, your Buddha Nature inside; do not look to the other person. Now, next one is the cattleman. This is very simple. So, even if I don’t pull out my calendar, you understood everything? Yo? (Yes.) Good, good. The Buddha said, “So, if you want to rain, rain god, go ahead and rain.” You remember! Wow! How do you remember such things? Five (Holy) Names, take so long to remember, and Seven Gifts, “Can You please do it again? Repeat again?”So, the cattleman Dhaniya, saying something like, “My wife is composed, not wanton, is charming, has lived with me long. I hear no evil about her at all: So, if you want, rain god, go ahead and rain.” He even had a good relationship with his wife. That’s all men want, right? Have a house, a roofed house, and a wife who is a good wife, a faithful wife, and nobody talks bad about her even. So, it doesn’t matter if it rains or shines or thunders, meaning he feels so snug in his little life. Wow! He thinks that death will not come, perhaps. He will not think there are any accidents that will befall him, perhaps. Maybe he doesn’t know what tomorrow brings. So, he thinks it’s safe all the time.Life is not like that. If he doesn’t practice, he could be in for a big surprise sometimes, like many people in this world. Not prepared for that. No matter how much insurance you have, when the angel of accident comes, nobody is there to insure you immediately. Maybe you can take some money later, after you die or are crippled, but it won’t be useful for you. At the time of the accident, when you have pain and you fear and you’re helpless, nobody’s going to help you. And even if your wife, maybe she’s with you now, she might not be with you tomorrow, due to life’s unexpected events that are always happening to you, yourself and your loved ones or non-loved ones. Anyone can always have some trouble, anytime. But he feels safe. Just with some cattle and a little roof on his life and his little wife, and he feels OK.Rain god is just a symbol for rainy days. The day that you don’t expect some trouble, but he has it all covered, he thinks. And the most fearful situation for all men and women is that his wife or her husband betrays them. Husband or wife betrays them. So even his wife is good, so what more does he want? Everything is perfect. He’s all snug, feels safe, all covered. And he thinks it’s going to be like that all his life. Might be. Maybe not.So, the Buddha doesn’t rely on any of that anymore at all, whatsoever. So, He said, “My mind is composed,” instead of the wife is composed, the other. Himself – the Buddha said, “My mind is composed, released, has long been nurtured, well tamed. No evil is to be found in me: So, if you want, rain god, go ahead and rain.” The thing is, His mind is already all empty of anything that could entangle you in this world, attract you, or catch you, or make you imprisoned. So, His mind is already released even, not just composed, and “has long been nurtured,” in a good way, “well tamed,” because of being nurtured in higher, lofty ideals and spiritual nourishment. So, it’s all well tamed now. So, no evil – He looks inside, and He finds no evil within Himself. So, He doesn’t care whatever happens, what disaster or not. Safe or not safe, the Buddha feels secure all the time in His own spiritual wisdom and purity. The thing is, this man with the cattle, the cowboy, he looks to others. Instead of looking to himself for security and truth, safety and wisdom and peace, he looks to others. He looks, here, his cattle are grazing in a big, good meadow, his thatch is all well and rainproof, his wife is good and virtuous, so he feels happy. But the Buddha is the opposite. He looks within Himself instead. That’s the place where you should look. Because if tomorrow his wife leaves him, then whom will he look to, to see the virtues? And if the cattle were dead or something happened, some disaster, some sickness, dead, then how could he feel that everything is OK in the meadow, nothing anymore, no cows anymore? And what if the drought comes? There is no grass in the meadows, no water. What if something befalls him and his fortune, so that he has no money to repair his roof, or even he has to be forced to be out of his house? Then where would he look to for security and safety?Everything is transient in this world, as you know very well. Many people, very rich and famous, suddenly everything is gone, for some reason, or disaster befalls them. We can see nowadays, aplenty. Disasters and a lot of houses kaput in no time, and people lose everything, including their loved ones that they were so happy with. So, the wise thing is to be like the Buddha: Look within yourself and rely only on your Self, because you have the Buddha inside. That is the person you should look to and rely on, and be happy in His company, your Buddha Nature inside; do not look to the other person. Wow, you just woke up or what? I talked so much and now you clap? Why so late? You just sit there and what? Did you listen? Did you listen to what I said then? You can hear, right? (Yes.) Because sometimes the microphone or the voice echoes, and you can’t hear very well. But never mind, we have Supreme Master Television. You can always rely on that, at least. So of course, we can rely on Buddha for the blessing, and for anything that you think the Buddha might help you with, or Jesus Christ might help you or your Master might bless you with. But you have all this in you as well. So, look for it, develop it, lift it up, look at it! Now you overdo it. I haven’t even finished the sentence. It’s good, good for my ego. Thank you. If I had any ego left, it would be frightened and gone away already. So, you understood, up to now, right? (Yes.)So, “No evil is found in me.” That’s where you should arrive, like when you can proclaim to yourself. No need to proclaim in front of everybody or friends or family, nothing. When you can look inside and proclaim to yourself that, “I found no evil within me,” then you are a Buddha. So, no need for anybody to certify it, give you a certificate, like a doctor degree or something. It’s the fifth day already, right? (Seventh.) Seventh day? Today is the seventh day? No. (The last day.) It’s the last day today? Oh yeah, of course, it’s the 30th. (Today is the last day.) I forgot. So, you see the difference. My eyes are all dry, so the rain god didn’t rain. And very little. It’s rainy. We don’t care. My roof is fixed. My wife is very good, very virtuous, because I don’t have one, so no problem with the wife at all. When you sit under here, you can say, “I have no fear, rain god can rain.” If you sit in the middle of the desert or a jungle like the Buddha, or under the tree in the desert like Jesus Christ, then I don’t know what you’d say. Probably, you wouldn’t say, “Rain, go ahead, rain. Rain, if you rain, you want to rain, you rain or not.” Or if there’s a storm in the desert, you have desert storm, you cannot say, “Oh, stormy god, you can storm.” No, you will be buried under, and before that, your eyes and everything will be terrible. Not like Lord Mahavira, He could withstand it. Probably it was symbolic, or maybe not the outside, but the inside. Because sometimes the Master suffers, you don’t see. So, it could be an invisible sandstorm, or other kind of attack, maybe also in the Astral Level. So maybe the Lord Mahavira saw it or other people nearby could see it. But it could be not physical. But still, that doesn’t mean anything good. Sometimes it’s even worse if it’s invisible. Just like some people, some witchcraft, they use an invisible knife to kill people. And the person doesn’t see any knife around him or in his body, but is suffering, suffering a lot. Some wicked black magicians. The cattleman continued. He said, “I support myself on my earnings. My sons live in harmony, free from disease. I hear no evil about them at all: So, if you want, rain god, go ahead and…? (Rain.) Rain.” Wow! It’s a perfect life. To be honest, in this world, the life he has is perfect, 100%. His wife is good, there’s no trouble from her, so that any other people can come and blame him or make trouble for him. His sons also live peacefully with everyone and with each other. So, he truly has no problem in this life. And even the sons have no problems with anybody outside the family even. So, it’s all perfect. It seems perfect. But, listen to more perfection, a more perfect life. The Buddha: “I am in no one’s employ.” He has no boss. “I wander the whole world,” like the monks, “on the reward [of my Awakening]. No need for earnings is to be found: So, if you want, rain god, go ahead and…? (Rain.) Rain.” You know everything. What for do I keep saying anything? You see, one relies on every material thing that he can earn and keep, to make him feel safe and proud and secure.

Sutta Nipāta: Dhaniya the Cattleman, Part 4 of 9

Buddha has nothing. All His concepts, prejudices, gone. So, He was just free, very supple, very soft, very free, just flowing. He lived for one night, meaning, you never know what’s tomorrow. He didn’t care. I sometimes wonder why, also. Why I was so courageous in some cases and so meek on many other occasions. I wonder myself. My God, my calendar. Now, we really have to go back to India. So, the cattleman, he was very proud of what he had and his possessions, and his ability to be independent, to take care of himself and his family. Of course, man’s pride is there. He said this verse: “The rice is cooked, my milking’s done. I live with my people along the banks of the Mahi.” One of the rivers, I guess. “My hut is roofed, my fire lit: So, if you want, rain god, go ahead and rain.” Meaning, he feels so safe. In his mundane achievements, he has everything he needs and security. So that he proudly proclaimed that even if rain comes, he’s not afraid. “Go ahead and rain.” Even challenging the rain god. It could even be wind god or thunder god or typhoon god, whatever. Meaning, he’s too strong, too safe, too secure to worry about it.And now, the Buddha. The Buddha said now. They just said the Buddha and a colon. “Free from anger, my rigidity gone, I live for one night along the banks of the Mahi; my hut’s roof is open, my fire out:” No more fire. “So, if you want, rain god, go ahead and rain.”You see the difference between an enlightened one and the normal thinking people? For the normal people, they think, “OK, I need a safe house with the roof. I need my cattle, I need my wife, I need my children, I need my servant or whatnot.” He has everything, to feel safe. Of course, in this world you need to protect yourself from the elements. And of course, that’s rightly so. But to be proud of it, the way he talked, it implies some little arrogance to me, ego. Like, “Look at me. I am so good. I’ve got everything. I know how to protect myself and my family and everything in this world. I am tough.”But the Buddha is the opposite. He has nothing. Even His hut, if He even had any hut, or roof, no roof. Maybe He meant He had no roof at all, because there was no roof. So, what kind of hut has no roof? Meaning He just sat in the open air, like He sat under the Bodhi Tree, for example. And then “My rigidity gone,” means He is very flexible now. He got rid of all the concepts and all the prejudices, and all the things that people cling to, to feel safe and sound. He needed nothing of that. They were all gone. Got rid of them all. Now He was so free.At the moment, we still cling onto something; something we like or not like, or prefer this, or must have this, or must have that, then we are still in the frame of maya, in the control of maya. Buddha has nothing. All His concepts, prejudices, gone. So, He was just free, very supple, very soft, very free, just flowing. He lived for one night, meaning, you never know what’s tomorrow. He didn’t care. “To live for one night” doesn’t mean Buddha is dying tomorrow.Today, your ego is lower, I can see that. Actually, yes, it helps if you have less ego. You can concentrate better. Sometimes, I find that whenever I praise somebody, like I appreciate their work, in my sincerity I thank them, and the next day they mess up. “Oh, Master knows my worth. I am somebody. Even the Master praised me.” Imagine, he wants to even broadcast on Supreme Master TV. Then he messed up. Just like maybe in the kitchen, that’s why they messed up.The sister who wanted to give me food, she crawled all over, on top of my food and my computer, while I was working even, just to put food on the other side because the other side was empty. So, I said, “Go to the other side. Go on the other side.” And instead of going behind me or going behind the divider, through the kitchen to go out… There is a way to go out. Everybody can go on both sides to serve the people, because (there are) a lot of people and they go on both sides to serve, not just one side. She didn’t go. We didn’t have enough room.At that time, I think it was the Aulacese (Vietnamese) people, right? Aulacese (Vietnamese) that day, right? Maybe Aulacese (Vietnamese) or maybe Chinese elderly, and we had no room. Some people had to be turned out, so I told all the hufas (guards) to come sit around me. Just bring a small chair, sit around me, so other people, more can come in to sit with me, to sit in the kitchen. So, instead of going around, behind me to go to the other side, she went behind all the hufas (guards) and told them, “Move, move, move.” She went in front of all the nuns and moved all the chairs of the hufas (guards), tried to thread her way in, to go to the other side, right in front of me, in front of all the nuns, and in front of the monks as well. She just had to have her way. “OK, I’ll go to the other side, but you watch where I am going.” All the hufas (guards) had to move and click-click, clack-clack all the chairs, and the nuns right in front of their food and everything. And just to put a spoon on my table! Watch. The spoon. She forgot the spoon or something, so she brought a new spoon and then she put it there, for example, on the table. And then she didn’t like it, she put it there, and still didn’t like it, moved it, put it there. And still didn’t like it, moved it down there. I said, “Just go, please! Leave it and go.” Really. I don’t know if the Buddha had more patience. I don’t. They eat it up every day, my patience. Everybody eats a little bit, and then my patience becomes like a skeleton.Good that I wear this kind of clothes. People think I am no good anyway, so nobody criticizes too much anymore. If I wear this kind of clothes, better behave. The monks and nuns all behave; can’t talk, can’t move, cannot do anything. Even if you didn’t do anything like the Buddha, just sat there, went begging for food only, they still criticized and wanted to kill Him. And Jesus didn’t do anything harmful to anybody, they still wanted to kill Him, etc. Many other Masters, the same. I am telling you, this world is scary. Lucky that you’re going with me. Who else would protect you here? Even the law, sometimes they make it wrong; misunderstandings, prejudices. There was a man in America, he sued the court or sued the legal system because they were prejudiced against him, because of his name. His name was Rob Bank. Yes, Robert, Mr. Bank. Robert, and they sometimes say Rob. And his name was Rob Bank, and they... They judged him, passed the wrong sentence, or prejudiced sentence. What a name! Couldn’t you find a better name for the kid? Poor kid. They should have blamed the parents. There are billions of names. Why give him such a name combination? Poor thing. It’s a true story.Now. “To live for one night” doesn’t mean the Buddha thinks that He will die tomorrow. Why does He say that? “I live for one night.” Could anybody explain (it) to me? It’s time for the exam. (He’s living in the present moment.) It’s true, yes. Meaning you live your best, as if you are dying tomorrow. That’s why I always tell you: Whatever you do, do give it your all, do your best, as if it’s the first thing that you ever have the honor to do, the most honorable and the first thing ever you get a chance to do, and as if it’s the last thing you ever can. That is what it is. So, the Buddha said, “I live for one night.” I love this sentence. You live for one night? Maybe you do, but your children, your husband, your wife, your girlfriend, boyfriend, don’t think you should. So, after this, you go home, live again. I like that very much.“Along the banks of the Mahi,” meaning He had nothing. So, that means when He said, “My roof is open,” it means He lived in the open air, just on the bank of the river. Nothing at all. No roof, no walls, no hut. So, He said, “My hut’s roof is open, my fire out:” He doesn’t even have fire to warm Himself. Maybe He had some before, but it’s out by now. So, He said, “Rain god, if you want to rain, just rain.” He couldn’t care less; not afraid. This is a kind of fearless life. Many yogis live like that in India still, with this kind of spirit. Fearless spiritual yogis, truly like that. One Master, I forgot His name, He’s written one book about His life. He’s not like a monk or anything, but He was all for spiritual practice. I read His book. I just forgot His name. Anyway, it couldn’t be His real name. Like Swami this and that, or Baba this, Babu this. The reverent name, people, the disciples gave it to Him. And I don’t think He is the one who wrote the book. They just wrote it after He told them in discourses, and then they even credited it to His name. It says, “Spoken by Master so-and-so, written by Master so-and-so, and edited by Master so.” They just offered their work to the Master. Doesn’t mean the Master has written that book or printed that book. It could be in some cases, but not this case. The tone of the book is not like a Master, because it sounds too proud. So, the disciples wrote it. And because they respect the Master, they put a pinch of worthy reverence in it, as usual. So now, the cattleman says again. “No mosquitoes or gadflies are to be found.” His house is very safe, that’s what he meant. “The cows range in the marshy meadow where the grasses flourish.” Means his cows also are in a safe place. There’s a lot of grasses that grow very lushly and tall; so, everything is perfect anyway. Even no mosquitoes there. He lives in a safe place, maybe a cooler place. So they don’t even disturb the cows. The cows are munching their grass in the lush meadow even. How more perfect can it be? “The grasses flourish” even. It’s nice poetry. We would never hear anybody writing like “the grasses flourish.” Very poetic.“They could stand the rain if it came:” The cows are not worried about the rain because they’re eating well. “So, if you want, rain god, go ahead and rain.” He’s challenging, meaning he feels just too safe, too confident. Just like you guys, always, “Master takes care.” “Master knows everything. Master does everything for me. No problem.” What a life. Good luck! Why is that? Why is it that you take in your money by yourself, you cook the food and eat by yourself, and you have your beloved husband or wife with you by yourself. But anything hard, “Master will do it!” Why? Did you pay me any money? No. Some people go to the extreme, “Master, wake me up in the morning, on time.” “Master, my car has no more gasoline, please fill it, now.” It’s a true story. You know, you heard it over the years. As if they are disabled or something. You are my “disciple,” not “disabled.” Oh, dear God. What kind of Master who does everything? So. Now, the Buddha. The Buddha said, “A raft, well-made, has been lashed together. Having crossed over, gone to the far shore, I’ve subdued the flood. No need for a raft is to be found:” He just talked in parable, in riddle. “A raft, well-made.” Meaning He has a spiritual method to practice, so that He can cross over the sea of existence. So, “gone to the far shore” doesn’t mean only the river shore or the seashore. “I have subdued the flood.” The flood inside you, or the passion, or the emotion, or the mental gymnast, or the desire that is not conducive to your upliftment. He has subdued them all. So, “No need for a raft is to be found.” He doesn’t even need it. Or maybe He has it, He crossed over already, and now He’s free. He doesn’t even need to practice. He doesn’t need any method. It’s just natural. It becomes natural to Him like sitting, sleeping, eating, working, resting. It’s all Zen. So, you can see the worldly people, they rely on so many things in order to feel secure and safe, and they think that is the best thing. But that’s not forever. Should be like the Buddha – until He needs no more raft even and still feels safe.

Sutta Nipāta: Dhaniya the Cattleman, Part 3 of 9

I am sure many people who eat meat and drink milk or things, they do not know this. Otherwise, they would not want to. That’s why it’s our duty to spread the news. Tell them to watch “Cowspiracy,” “Earthlings,” “Dominion,” these kinds of films, to awaken their compassion and tell the truth. So, they know the truth. That way they will stop it. Now, this is a comparison between the Buddha and the cattleman, the rancher. It’s not explained here how this comparison came about. Maybe it’s just random, some monks just thinking that, “Why do you have to be a monk?” or “What’s the difference between the Buddha and any ordinary person?” And they picked a cattleman, a man who has a herd of cows or oxen, to take care of them, to use them to till the land, and to use them to make a living for himself, of course. So, here are the verses to compare the two of them: The World Enlightened One, World Honored One and a cattleman.First the cattleman... As if they were speaking with each other, like a conversation. Like the cattleman says something, then Buddha says something else, like opposing it. How many of you know this Nipata: Cattleman and Buddha? How many of you monks and nuns know? Did you have time to read this? No? Yes or no? No. No time. Oh, it’s a lot. OK. No? No? No? OK. I also, no. First time I read this. I read many other sutras, those easy ones: Lotus Sutra, Amitabha Buddha, Medicine Buddha Sutra, Diamond Sutra, blah, blah, blah, blah, but not this. In Âu Lạc (Vietnam), we don’t always have the chance to get hold of too many sutras. Maybe they have some in this temple, and some in that temple. And in the Western world it’s even less. But some of the saintly people, like this Bhikkhu Ṭhanissaro, they took their time, with the best interest of other beings at heart, to translate. And sometimes explaining a little meaning here and there. So, we definitely are very grateful to the great Bhikkhu.Actually, recently I asked them to collect more of the Tripitaka for me. So, they sent them from I don’t know where, different countries, in a box. And I also don’t always have time, thanks to you, to read. I just read in between my… It’s bad… When you read the sutras, you have to read in front of the Buddha or quietly sit down. But I had to read it, sometimes between my (vegan) sandwich. When else would I have time? Between my spoons of soup, (vegan) soup, I keep reading it, just to select some for you.So now, the first in conversation is Dhaniya, the cattleman. He could pick up any name, doesn’t matter. Maybe Johnny Smith from Texas, or Scotland, or wherever. But it happened to be maybe in India, so the name is Dhaniya. “The cattleman” is his position. He has a lot of cattle. He raises cows to have milk, to graze the field for him and till the land. Before, that’s all we had. We had oxen, we had cows to till the land. To plow the land in order to sow the seeds and make food and vegetables and grains. Now, Dhaniya said about his proud position. Of course, he’s proud. He’s independent, he has everything he needs, a lot of cattle. And cattle, they give birth to more cattle. Therefore, they become more and more prosperous due to that.People sometimes raise animals just to multiply them, like sheep or whatever. Yeah, they do that. But in those days, no matter how many you raised, it could not be more than a hundred or two hundred. And they’d go out in the fields to graze. Not like in our modern civilized time, they’re cooped up in a small little pen and cannot even move around. And force them to give milk or have babies until they could stand no more, and even have broken bones and stomachs falling out. Oh God! That way they will stop it.That’s how people are more and more vegan nowadays, because they are exposed more and more to the truth. They’re truly poor people. They know nothing. This is the work of the maya: To make people know nothing, and then they commit sin and then torture them. Like yesterday, your sister said she went to hell and saw some of the hell punishments. Like people who eat meat or anything to do with meat, they will be ground, just like the way the beef is ground on our land, with a big machine, coming from nowhere. You remember yesterday? These are true things. Actually, it’s not just her who knows about hell. Aren’t you glad you are vegan now? (Yes.) Thank your Master, no? No, thanks to all the Masters who told you this, and you didn’t listen until I came along. I say the same thing. I didn’t say anything new, but you changed. You didn’t listen to the Buddha. Buddha also taught to be vegan, make peace. No? Jesus taught the same. All Masters taught the same. Why did you have to wait for me to come, spoon-feed you? And say, “Oh, correct, Master! We’re vegan. Go be vegan now.” I’m sorry. The calendar comes out by itself, otherwise, I could read very fast again. All finished. And then I could go.It’s just my destiny, I have to come and talk to you. Before, I talked very little, very shy, didn’t say anything. One time, when I was a very little girl in the primary school… Because I was a good student, excellent student, top of the class. So there was one American or English – I can’t remember, he spoke English anyway – came to visit our school. Sometimes the director from the education department also came to visit us. They visit different schools, they do that. And then that day, one of the directors of the education department came to visit us and brought along one English speaking Westerner. And he came and asked me, “How are You?” I understood nothing, of course. But then the director translated for me. I didn’t even answer anything. I was too shell-shocked. “Who is this guy?” I never saw this kind of man before. All I saw in my district were just cows and cowherds, farmers, my parents, my sister. I’d never seen a Westerner before. So, I was too shocked. Just standing there, saying nothing. Didn’t answer at all. And he kept repeating again and I didn’t answer at all. I was that shy. So shy, so shy. But I was always taken out of my shell to be introduced, and even lent to another school to sing for that school! As if nobody else in the world knew how to sing! Terrible. I didn’t sing all that well. I don’t know why they kept borrowing me. And I sang all right. But if you asked me anything, I didn’t know how to answer. So shy. And also, after being married and all that, I never spoke much. I told you already, I sat there listening to my ex’s conversation with everybody else, and I wished I could speak some part like that. Not the whole thing, maybe, but a little part. I just could not say anything. I didn’t know what to say!And sometimes, when I’m wrongly accused, I also don’t know how to clear my name. I just take it. Even when I was in an ashram in India already, and got some tiny enlightenment already. There was one time we were sitting, eating breakfast. Rarely, that I could have some. Because sometimes they ate a lot, they ate all of it. When I came, it was done! Only something they didn’t like, leftover, maybe a little bit of salad or some uncooked bread or something, half-baked chapati or what. So, we were eating. Somehow, that day I was lucky, the cook was there and there were two Westerners with me. One was working together with me to help the Master in that ashram and another one was a visiting disciple, of course. And we were sitting there eating some chapati. Oh, it was delicious! Always delicious! I was always hungry. When you have no responsibility, you are only a disciple, everything tastes delicious. And now, even if they cook chapati for me, it doesn’t taste the same anymore. Maybe the flour, or maybe who cooks it, or maybe I’m too full of other things in my head and it goes to my stomach, also. So, it doesn’t feel that tasty anymore. So, we were sitting together and eating chapati, and it happened to be these potato-filled chapati. Very tasty. Oh, lovely! At that time. Now you cook for me, don’t worry, I don’t taste much. And then, I ate only one, and the other colleague, spiritual colleague, ate one. And there were two left, and the visitor, he helped himself. He finished all, to clean the plate for us. And then, I don’t know if my colleague saw it or not, if he wanted to glean a confession out of the visitor or not. He blamed me. He said, “Huh! You’re so small, but you eat a lot, huh? The last one, you ate, huh?” And I didn’t know how to defend myself. I could’ve said, “No, I didn’t! I didn’t!” But I didn’t say anything. And in my mind, I was thinking, “I don’t want to embarrass the visitor.” So I kept quiet. Zip. That’s another time in India. And in New York, I was staying in a temple. I don’t know if I told you all this before. Maybe I did. Pretend you didn’t hear. I forgot. Forgive the old woman’s memory. So, one time, there was another female who lived in that temple at that time. She was a former nun from another temple, and then she disrobed herself and she came and stayed in this temple with me, with the master, of course. And then, she sometimes cooked for us and etc. And one time, she did something wrong, very wrong, and the master thought it was me, because I was supposed to do that work. I don’t remember what, but he blamed me for that. And he kind of remonstrated me. And I said nothing. I knew it was her, and she sat next to me, but I said nothing.I always worried that the other (person) would get too embarrassed. Because I knew I didn’t do it, so I felt good enough already. Why would I have to make the other (person) feel bad? I wouldn’t have felt any better. I already knew I didn’t do it, so in my heart I was clear and happy. So, it didn’t matter. Why would I have to make another person feel bad, because that wouldn’t make me feel better than I already do. That’s the reason; in my conscious mind I think like that. It wasn’t the first time. There are many other times like that, and I’m happy to take the blame. I don’t really care.Because in your heart, you know you didn’t do it. It’s not like a life-and-death matter or something. But if it was for somebody else, I’d be too outspoken. Like in the temple, they had a flat board like that and they smeared some sticky kind of chemical, so all the cockroaches would be just hanging there, by the backs or the legs and could not move. Oh, I felt so bad, so bad! So, I scolded the whole temple, including the abbot, the so-called master. And they could not say anything. First, they said, “It’s just a little bit. It’s not killing.” I said, “Yeah? Talking about a little bit, how about sex? Just a little bit of sex is OK for you monks?” And then, of course, they could not say anything. It was so quick! I was so quick and so sharp. Maybe I ate too much chili that day. Too sharp! So later, the master abbot said, “She’s right. She’s right. We won’t do that again.”I said, “Imagine it’s you, glue yourself to something and you cannot do anything.” Oh! I was so mad, so mad, because I felt so pained looking at that. Just imagine it’s you, then you’ll know what it is! Anything, just imagine it’s you, then you know what to do. No need for anybody to teach you anything. Even the little insect, a little cockroach, they feel! They’re stuck there, helpless. Oh! When it’s for somebody else or some other being, I’m outright, outspoken and fearless. But when it’s for myself, I just sit there.

Sutta Nipāta: Dhaniya the Cattleman, Part 2 of 9

And they picked a cattleman, a man who has a herd of cows or oxen, to take care of them, to use them to till the land, and to use them to make a living for himself, of course. So, here are the verses to compare the two of them: The World Enlightened One, World Honored One and the cattleman. In the old times, the Buddha sometimes went out, didn’t have good water to drink, not filtered water. They had to use a kāṣāya, their clothes; a corner of their big robe, big blanket, to filter the water and drink. I am very lucky already. I’m really grateful in my heart. Every little thing I have, I’m grateful.I earn money by my own means. I could have a palace. I could have at least a decent house, but I have never asked [anyone] to build anything for me, except some already existing house, and I sometimes bought it for the disciples. And then later, it’s too small. I will buy a bigger one. It’s for everybody to use. I could have asked [people] to build me some castle, smaller castle or something long ago. I did not.I’m not happy even if I live in any luxurious house. I was very happy to live in the cave. Until they told me, “Master, it’s the 21st century. You don’t live in a cave, anymore.” I said, “What’s wrong with a cave? Very nice.” But then they asked people to come and check and the cave is corroded. It could collapse anytime. So, because of safety, I moved out, truly reluctantly. I made the cave cozy with a beautiful double tent and I have everything I need. I didn’t even need a table because they made, like, a stone table in there. That’s perfect. When I first saw the cave, I was in love with it immediately. I couldn’t wait until next morning to move. I moved right at midnight, after group meditation. I love that cave, honestly. And I love the Spanish cave and I love the cave in Hsihu. I love all the simple things, simple life that I have. But to do what I do, I have to forsake the luxury of a simple life. That’s ironic, but that’s what it is. For me to have a simple life is a luxury. You know why I respect the monks so much? Because of their ideal to live a simple life, un-wanting many things in life. And also, because I look upon them as the life I wanted to have. I like to see them. At least to think that, “Oh, that’s a wonderful life.” Truly, I like it like that. I want it simple, but I can’t. It’s OK. It’s not the worst thing to do, of course. But truly, I would have loved to be free. More free, live a simple life like them: A couple of pairs of clothes, go anywhere anytime. Depend only on Heavens, with not a care in the world. When you’re tired, you sleep; when you’re hungry, you eat.Everything is illusion anyway. What for you want this, want that? What’s the use anyway? And I’m old now, I know even better. To know that you take nothing with you. It’s just that I have to do what I have to do. And like it or not, I still have to do it. All of us. I don’t mean I’m the only one who has trouble. You also have your troubles. Sometimes you wish to be here, to just meditate with Master, eat some simple food the Ashram provides, so that you can advance more in your spiritual practice or whatever your dream is. But then you have to go back to your job, your family, your children, and the expected community. And that is also your pain. But we can’t have everything in this life. I accept my lot, but I like the monk’s life. Not necessarily do I have to wear the monk’s dress. It’s just a symbol of freedom. This is all I can afford. If we build more, of course we can, but then we will cut many, many, hundreds, thousands of trees and plants, and disturb a lot of animals. Nowadays everywhere is already emptied of trees and plants and greenery and nature. If we continue, I’d rather change the retreat to a warmer season. And then we just sit in the open air. You bring your tent. In case if it rains, you just quickly run there and zip up, and then you’re safe. Nowadays it’s so convenient. Think of the Buddha. He sat under the Bodhi tree, at least for 40-some days, then He got enlightenment. You sit under the roof for 40,000 years, maybe not. Think of Lord Mahavira.I wanted to read you some from the Tripitaka Buddhist Sutra. Some of them. Tripitaka is big, big, big. I cannot read it all, to all, and it’s not always necessary. But there’s always something going on, and I have to pull out my calendar like that.By the way, I want to help advertising for that company, for the printer company, the publisher. It’s in India. Actually, it’s good merit for them if I read them free for you. But, in the legal sense, I might incur some debt of karma. So, I will make it up to them. I advertise their publication name, “Sahni Publications.” They have many other books. It’s called Sahni. “S” like sunny, “A” like apple, “H” like hôtel, hotel, “N” like November, “I” like International. (Sahni.) Huh? (Sahni.) Sahni, Sahni Publications, yes. They have many other books; very interesting. So, if you want to buy something from them, you can order. And that’s very good for them. Oh, email even! The book has many misspellings and misarrangements, but they have email! I thought it was old, long time ago. Remember, I have to correct, and I have to read for a long time in order to guess what they meant. I did guess right. Email: sahni@sahnipublications.com*Note: “sahni@sahnipublications.com” is no longer their email. Their new email is “sahnipublications@yahoo.com”So, actually, for television – depends on what television – you just advertise for a few seconds, you have to pay a lot. So, I guess I paid that debt already. But I will donate something. In India, they don’t earn a lot of money. I don’t know if many people would buy this book. So, I will donate some money. Help me, FG, to send them about US$12,000. Is that enough? Brother? Sister? Enough? (More than enough.) More than enough? (Yes.) Or you say more or more than enough? (It’s more than enough, Master.) OK. (Yes. It’s great money for India.) Thank you, thank you. (Thank You.) Thank you. Very good.Say “hallo” to your husband. (Sure, Master.) He is a good boy. (Sure, Master.) You both have no problem anymore, right? (No, Master.) Say hallo to your master, your previous master or your still present master. Once a master, always a master. (No, Master. You are our present Master. Forever, forever.) Don’t mind. Don’t mind. Just say “hallo” to him (Yes.) when you have a chance to talk to him. (Actually, he wants to come and see You, Master. He asked us last time when we visited him in India.) He wants to see me? (Yes, Master.) Whoa! (He wants to come.) Please, welcome! (He wants to come and meet...) Anytime, we will treat him like a king if he comes. (Oh, thank You.) And he can talk here in my assembly, (OK.) and teach them something. Because he has been teaching you and made you good disciples. I’m indebted to him. Tell him I am thankful to him, to the master. (Thank You, Master.)It’s not him who made trouble. It’s the gods, (Yes.) the lower gods who think you should not go any higher. So, after you reconcile with them, they let you free. (Yes. Thank You, Master.) We have a problem, because if we leave kindergarten, the kindergarten teachers, we should not look down upon them. We should always thank and remember them. Remember I had a teacher when I was in primary school? I always treated him like he was still my teacher. (Yes.) Not spiritually even. (Yes.) He passed away already. Bless his soul. He is in New Land. Bravo! Because he was so good. So humble. He treated me like a Master then, after initiation. But I still treated him like a teacher. Oh, we were both very polite. So, now you know. Because there are more things behind those stories I told you, there are more things. But because I read that – the last story I read that is forbidden to transmit or to copy, so I stopped it. So, if you want to read more of that, please buy this book, called “The God of Peace; Lord Mahaveer.”Very, very good. It’s OK? (It’s OK.) It’s OK. It’s OK? It’s OK. I know some Indian Hindu, but I didn’t live there long enough, didn’t have enough time. I was busy helping the masters. And everybody speaks English there. International ashram, just like here. Had no time to learn. I knew some, I forgot. I knew some Sanskrit, I also forgot. All we need is English, English is all we need. It’s easy to learn, easy to speak, easy to understand.Next time, we will reserve the VIP house for the monks and the nuns, so you’ll be more warm and comfortable. It’s just I’m too busy to think about all the conveniences that you don’t have. In the temple, it’s more comfortable, of course. Whatever temple in Taiwan (Formosa) or Korea nowadays is kind of modern, very comfortable. You don’t think that monks and nuns have money because they come here. No. Maybe that’s all they have. Just because I knew (from) before. They expected that if I travelled from Germany to Taiwan (Formosa), I must have had money. But that was all I had. They put me in a hotel and I paid with my last money. Afterwards, the Aulacese (Vietnamese) temple, Master Thích Tịnh Hạnh, he took me in. They sent me there, so he had no choice anyway. Here I was, already at the doorstep. He was very kind. Bless his soul. I helped him, don’t worry. I repaid him more than you can imagine. And then later, I stayed at a Chinese temple. They all wanted me. Many Chinese temples, Taiwanese (Formosan) temples wanted me to stay with them. But I already stayed at the Aulacese (Vietnamese) temple, so I came back. And later, I went to America, stayed with a Chinese master, teacher, monk. You want to hear something from the Tripitaka? (Yes, Master.) This is from the “Sutta Nipata.” There are many, and in order to read to you, I sometimes have to scan the whole book to see which one is suitable for your wisdom before I dare to show it. This is a very interesting… So many. Many things here are interesting. But, there are some interesting things, easy to listen to, easy to digest. It’s not something very profound or hard to understand. Since you always love only bedtime stories anyway. And I’m finished with Lord Mahavira stories and other Buddhist stories, so I found something interesting in the “Nipata.” The monks and nuns maybe know already. So, I ask your permission to show off my very little knowledge about Buddhism in front of these ignoramuses. Joking. You’re wise. Wise, compassionate, good, beautiful. There are the comparisons between the Buddha and a layperson. This layperson is a cattleman, a rancher. We call it nowadays a rancher. I don’t know how this conversation or this comparison came about. It’s just recorded in here and translated into English. This one allows you to read or copy or do whatever. It’s a typical Buddhist sutra. Thanks to Bhikkhu Thanissaro, the real name is Geoffrey DeGraff. I will try to find out if he’s still with us, and we’ll make an offering. You guys help me, OK? If I forget, I already read the name of the publication and the bhikkhu. Help me to make an offering to them. Help him with US$10,000 for the bhikkhu. Oh, he’s probably still alive because here is a copyright, Ṭhanissaro Bhikkhu, 2016. So, it’s new. We thank him for his benevolent deed; taking his time to translate into English and print it for us to enjoy and to benefit the multitude. May the Buddhas bless you and keep you in Nirvana forever. Unless you want to come back and play with us, the ignoramuses, ignorant beings.I read it and I have picked some here for you; I marked it. I cannot read all of this now, but maybe another time, whenever we can. So, here are the verses to compare the two of them: The World Enlightened One, World Honored One and the cattleman.

Sutta Nipāta: Dhaniya the Cattleman, Part 1 of 9

Sutta Nipāta: Dhaniya the Cattleman, Part 1 of 9

If you want to really liberate yourselves, and even your families, your generations, your country, just practice hard, sincerely, for the sake of yourselves and for all beings.Hallo. Be careful of the camera. Hallo. Hallo. OK. Two male monks? Three and three. Come here. These are for you monks. I told them to buy it. Open one and have a look. Open one of them, to see if the contents are the same. Show it to them. It’s in individual packs for them to take away. The same? Really? But it should not be the same. Big monks should wear bigger slippers. (Slippers, and then…) Which one is bigger? Or, are they the same size? (This one.) OK, fine. Are they the same color? Are they? (Yes.)Sorry, guys. No need, relax, no need. The same? Similar? That one. OK. Just show it to me. Let me have a look. Wow. Is it OK? It’s fine. Put it behind them. They can wear whichever fits them, later on. They don’t have to wear it if it doesn’t fit. I’m sorry. Taiwanese (Formosans) should know what monks wear. It’s not possible that they don’t know. Aulacese (Vietnamese) cannot say they don’t know, either. A darker color or a little difference in colors is still all right. But it’s like a costume instead. You pick whatever works for you. If not, give it back to them, OK? (OK.) I’m sorry. Give me a hand. I am too busy to do it myself. I wanted to come here a bit earlier, but I was held up by phone calls and documents. It took me some time. I don’t just sign documents straight away I have to contact people about many things and check if there are any mistakes, etc.How many of you are Westerners? Come here and sit around me. Come here. You don’t see me often. Come around, sit in front here, in front there, and in front here. And when I walk, I walk on your shoulders. You carry me. There is some more here. (Sure, Master. Sure.) Just joking, my God! You guys can’t take a joke? You see, I have to be like a general, general of the army or something.Make an offering. Make offerings to the Triple Jewels. You bring it to them. No need to move. It’s difficult to walk around. It’s all occupied now. Make offerings to the Triple Jewels. (Yes.) Make offerings to the Triple Jewels. (Thank You, Master.) To the Buddha, the Dharma, and the Sangha. You take care of it later. Help me take care of it. I’m really too busy to do it. OK.Do you understand what it means by “losing Worth?” Every little thing makes me lose face, makes me yell, makes me angry. It’s just provoking like that, because of the loss of Worth. And even if the Protectors are standing around, even if the angels are around, They cannot do anything. The losing of Worth made people slander Buddha. The losing of Worth made people crucify Jesus. The losing of Worth made people persecute Prophet Muhammad (Peace be upon Him), for example, or not listening to Guru Nanak or Krishna or whomever, in our history of spiritual hierarchy.Do you understand now why the Master has to suffer? Because, He has many disciples. The more disciples He has, the less Worthy He becomes in the spiritual domain. Meaning, all the gods cannot help, angels cannot do anything. He’s at the mercy of whatever world He stays in. And if it’s too much, then of course, the Master has to be maybe crucified, like Jesus Christ, or Prophet Muhammad (Peace be upon Him), for example. If not, then they will be slandering Him or Her, or doing anything at all; just every day, provoking trouble, so that the Master looks very bad, loses face. Looks like an ordinary person: gets angry, yells. There’s no respectful type of behavior. These are some of the small examples that you can see.Otherwise, you don’t know what it means by “losing Worth.” Otherwise, why do you think the Son of God, Jesus Christ, so mighty – Son of God – had been harassed, chased and hunted, until finally they killed Him in such a way, which is worse than a criminal? They even forgave one of the criminals at that time, and instead, they crucified Jesus in his place. So, in case you want to be a Master of any kind, please, think again or be prepared. Anything you see is just a tip of the iceberg. There are more, internal and even external, that you have no chance to see, not at all had any chance to be near the Master at that time, or those times to witness. This is just almost zero, or in the kitchen or upstairs on the fourth floor, before. These are all just very small things that you could even see. Mostly you are not with me. You don’t understand. All this is because of the loss of Worth, temporarily. But then, another batch of disciples comes, and another batch of outsiders comes, or the Master has to do something for the world, then losing Worth again. It’s not like it ever can be regained so quickly, or keep it. Except if you don’t have disciples anymore, or you don’t see them, then it may be less. “Less” doesn’t mean none. It’s not only that. For example, if I stay in Europe, other Asian countries will wish in their hearts to get together and pray that Master comes back to Asia. And when I come back to Asia, all don’t just leave me alone, and it’s easy to come and go to see me. No, wishing that I go to Âu Lạc (Vietnam), wishing I go to China instead. Just because I speak Aulacese (Vietnamese) and my body was born there, they think I’m Aulacese (Vietnamese) and they want me there, like a possession, just for the country to be more prosperous, or blessed in some way. Just for Âu Lạc (Vietnam). And then, all the Chinese people want me to be there. And because of all these mismatched and selfish wishes, I cannot always stay anywhere stably and safely just to take care of you. To keep moving all the time exhausts me, and wastes a lot of my time. I want you to change your mindset. Just whatever you wish, wish for me to be alive at least, so that you can come to see me wherever I am. That’s the only thing you should wish for. Don’t drag me here, pull me there, push me forth, and drag me back. It’s terrible for me every day to have to deal with all this kind of conflicting energy.I have dogs. And I have a lot of things I have to move. If I move, I have to move a lot. And then I have Supreme Master Television staff. Many things I have to take care of, and business also. So please, please, cut it out. Sometimes it’s so much conflicting energy against each other; I just want to leave, I just want to go, disappear. Disappear completely. And then you won’t see me anymore, no matter where, Taiwan (Formosa) or Europe or wherever. Or I will keep changing my place, so that you cannot keep wanting this and that or possessing me in a different country. If my destiny is to be in Taiwan (Formosa), then I stay in Taiwan (Formosa). You don’t force the issue. You don’t give me so much pressure. Just because you think I’m Aulacese (Vietnamese) or I’m Chinese, or even I’m an ex-Mongolian or ex-Korean king, or whatever, that’s the past!Maybe the body I borrowed was from Âu Lạc (Vietnam), but by no means do I belong to the Aulacese (Vietnamese) people. That is too square, too small, too un-Zen, too un-practitioners of higher altitude. If you want to really liberate yourselves, and even your families, your generations, your country, just practice hard, sincerely, for the sake of yourselves and for all beings. Do you see I treat my family specially in any way, ever? Yes? (No.) Even my family members, of course, I wanted them to sit here, but they said, “Never mind, we’re also disciples. We’ll sit down there.” My sister and niece and nephew, they never want anything special. Did you ever see me seating them right in front of me at your expense? Yes or no, ever? (No.) No! And even last time, I could not come out to see you, for some sad event I didn’t want to tell you about, they came with you and they went home like you. I did not call them to my house or my special place or send a special driver to come and get them to see me specially, just because they are my so-called family members. Did you see anything like that? (No.) No.And I don’t take all my hard-earned money to give to them, so they have a flashy car or better houses. Nothing! I bought one house for my parents, that is for sure I did. It was not much. In Âu Lạc (Vietnam) at that time, 30 years ago, very cheap, and has like four levels. And then my brother-in-law wanted to buy another new house for his daughter and I said, “No, you stay together. That’s a heritance from my parents. You should treasure it. And you should stay together to help each other. It’s easier when you live together; it’s easy to help each other. Do not just divide it.” Many people have no house, not even a tent or a roof over their heads. Many refugees have nothing with them when they run, just their lives, even if they can keep it. You know what the world is like, right? Why don’t you compare to the lower income people, the less fortunate people? Why keep comparing to the higher up?You say you want to follow me, you learn from me. You learn nothing. You complain about water, about toilets, about everything. I complain about water just because it’s dirty, unhygienic for me. And I am not young anymore just to take anything. I protect my body for you, because I know you want me alive. Or don’t you? (Yes.) Yeah! That’s for sure. I tell you truly, honest to God and all the angels around here, that if I die right now, I have no regrets. I don’t care about this life to hang on to it. The more I live, the longer I suffer, that’s all. Is this very clear to you all? Yes or no? (Yes.) I truly live for you, for the world, for the animals, for all beings that suffer, that I have not enough chance and time to save. I want to live long, longer, as long as possible, until the world is all peaceful and loving and kind to one another. Then I don’t care where I go, whatever they do to me, however the karma treats me. Right now, I have to take good care. That’s all. And now they want to change my water to the tap water, meaning the community water from the government. They said it’s safer to drink. I said, “No, it’s OK. Before, it wasn’t filtered.” So, I said, “I asked for a filter, that’s all.” Now it’s filtered already. Why change now? And now, even in retreat? If I survived until now, I’ll continue to survive, and the water is OK for me. I consider that very good. I’m lucky already.

Consider Others Before Ourselves, Part 5 of 5, Dec 28, 2019

Consider Others Before Ourselves, Part 5 of 5, Dec 28, 2019

You are happy because you know you are good, if you consider others before yourself, in any way. Deep in your heart, you know you do the right thing and that should make you happy. But it doesn’t mean the situation will be arranged because you are good, because you consider others, that it will make you happy.Last night, we had a party, and then of course, when I came back home, I had to do paperwork. Until… I don’t know, what time was it? Four o’clock in the morning. Then of course, I had to wash myself and then go meditate. But I finished my work. The urgent work, I sent already, earlier. As soon as I come home, whatever’s urgent, I finish quick, I send it, so that they can fix it quick. Because they need to fix, whatever I corrected, they have to fix. And you know how many translations we need, how many languages. So it’s a big cooperation between many people. So, as soon as I finish, I send it. But when other things are not so urgent, like for today, I also tried to finish it already until four o’clock in the morning. Don’t feel sorry. It’s my usual stuff. I work like that until I finish. I cannot leave the work undone, unless it’s a long way later on, then I say, “OK, I can do it tomorrow morning.” So, I finished at four o’clock. I consider my helper, the one who comes and picks up my documents or brings new documents to me. I consider it’s four o’clock in the morning; I didn’t want to call them anymore. So, I threw it out of the window on the golf cart, so that they know where to pick it up.They did not take it. So, I found it; it was still there. Of course, I’m not happy. Even though it’s not an urgent thing, but it should have been gone already, so that the people know which one to arrange on [Supreme Master] TV and what else they will have to do, so they’re not waiting. No, it was still there. Luckily it was not urgent, and luckily it was not much to correct. But still, it’s not right. They know already where to pick it up. They came to give me new documents. It’s not like they did not pass through that area. But they did not see it, didn’t look. So, considering others, because I consider them, often I have to take the pain instead. That is not pleasant, to discover something you worked hard for and hope they pick it up early in the morning when they exchange the new one, take the old one. They did not. It’s not a very good feeling at all. And you know me. I want to finish things faster, to move to the next project. We don’t just have that. We have other things waiting and coming all the time. So, I wasn’t happy of course. So, considering others cannot always give you the satisfaction feeling. But still you have to do it. Of course, always I tell you that whatever you do for others, it makes you feel happy. It’s not the same all the time. Last night, they had a good party, red envelope for lucky money, everything. And Master made jokes and Master stayed around with them. Of course, they were too happy – holiday kind of spirit – and forgot to work. So, in the morning, they did not pick up my finished documents. Of course, I understand them, I understand very well. But that doesn’t mean it makes me happy. So, I scolded them of course. It’s not like I say, “Oh good, go ahead, I understand you. Never mind, Master does everything, Master can do everything.” Of course, I do my job. I do everything already. They only have to pick up and give it to other people to continue working. Not that they have to go into my yard or inside the gate, so that they’re scared to, afraid to wake up Master, disturb Master. No, it’s outside! I threw it out of the window on the golf cart, so that it had the roof. And also on top has a roof; they put a roof on top, so that the car can park in there, like a car port. And then I put it inside the golf cart also. So, it’s double protection and surrounded by two walls, so the wind will not blow it away or the rain will not wet it. Of course, I put it in a bag, rainproof, and sealed it, tied it. That’s what we do all the time. So, in considering others, don’t ask for rewards.I often consider them and have trouble myself. But I cannot help it. I don’t know myself. Old woman, stubborn. Continue doing my old way. They did that many times, like whenever I consider them, then I will have some trouble. But I cannot change it. I threatened them many times, “The next time, I will make trouble for you instead.” But I won’t do it. I never did. Always the same. So, don’t say that Master always teaches us, “Whatever you do for others, you will have benefit, you’ll feel happy.” Yes, normally, but not always. You are happy because you know you are good, if you consider others before yourself, in any way. Deep in your heart, you know you do the right thing and that should make you happy. But it doesn’t mean the situation will be arranged because you are good, because you consider others, that it will make you happy. No. No. Remember on the 1st of October, I invited some artists? And you remember the story she read about a dog who was trying so hard to help the horse, to free the horse? And the horse keeps kicking him, because he also doesn’t know why he (the dog) is making trouble. Maybe he knows, but he doesn’t want the dog to hurt himself. Maybe like that. They are both trying to protect each other. And finally, the dog is able to remove the rope that gets caught on the door. He jumps up and up all the time and bites the rope or moves the rope, until finally the rope moves, so the horse frees himself and runs out. But the dog was burnt all over and kicked in the ribs, broken ribs and stuff like that. But even then, he always continues to try to help the horse because they are together there. He considers the horse his friend or maybe his leader. Dogs or animals, mostly they are a kind of pack, pack beings. So, if they don’t have a leader, they choose another being to be their leader, or their protectee, to protect. Either the dog was the leader trying to help the horse, or the horse was considered by the dog as his leader of the group. “No matter what, we are the pack,” they are the pack. So, he has to help his pack members. That’s how animals act. We humans are not always the same. So, what I mean is that the dog did everything to help the horse. He knew that he would have trouble. He is not that stupid. But he just had to do it because he considered the horse’s safety. He forgot himself. And many stories we heard on our Supreme Master Television from other dogs also. They sacrificed to help others, even at their own expense or life or pain or suffering. Even the dog in the White House tried to protect President Obama and he got shot many times already; he still did not give in. He still continued to protect and catch the intruder until the security men came. With bullets, all over his body already. Understand that?Animals are like that. Therefore, I am working for animals. I respect them; I admire their courage, and loyalty, and nobility. That’s why I want to help the animals. They don’t deserve to suffer in dark corners of any slaughterhouse and being treated like dirt or any non-sentient beings. Like an object. I don’t feel they deserve all this treatment. I don’t feel they should suffer like that, being so good, so kind, so noble. Not just dogs, all the animals, they are also helping each other. We show many clips on [Supreme Master] TV about that and that touches millions, or billions. At least it touches some people, seeing these clips of animals, so noble and so kind. They would be touched and think twice if they ever eat animal flesh again. That’s also helping the vegan planet. So, you learn. Learn.Try to awaken your own nobility inside. You have it. Don’t let situations, don’t let any material things or even holy things stray you from your own nobility, your own lofty Holy Nature. Train yourself, re-train yourself. Remember yourself, that you’re not like that. You’re from Heaven and you’re going back to Heaven, so be prepared for your journey Home with gifts. With gifts, not for yourself, for others. That’s the gift you will carry with you to Heaven, carry Home. Whenever you go out somewhere faraway, you come back, you bring gifts to your family members, no? Or before you go away, maybe you don’t know if you’ll come back or not, or maybe you don’t come back, so you give something, “This is for you to remember me.”Don’t just take! Give all the time! The reason I don’t want you to give to me also is because I’m not greedy, but also, I want you to know that we should not take; we practitioners should not take. We must give, if we have, or at least we happily support those who give. I don’t take and then you take, that is not the way you should learn from a teacher. You learn from example. Not even from my talk. You learn from example. Do that. Don’t make it so difficult that even if I want to give to others, you try to hinder me, or to make it feel bad to give. Don’t do that. You should be happy that somebody receives something from anybody or from the Master. You should just be happy as if you are the one who receives it! That is the attitude. Remember. Remember. Remember Buddha’s teaching. I don’t know how many religions you have here, just I am more familiar with Buddhist teaching. Because the Buddha, He talked a lot. He had a big calendar. For 40-some years He preached. He lived until the ripe age of 80-some. So, during all those years, He talked, and the people recorded His teachings. The Buddha said, that the one who gives has merit. If they give with purity and love, of course. Otherwise, you may also have merit, but little. Or your merit will turn into something not so favorable to you, even though you have it. So, the Buddha said, “If you give with purity and love, your merit is immense.” But the one who doesn’t give, but is happy, supportive, happy for the one who gives and happy for the one who receives also gets merit. Remember that. Just remember that. I don’t ask you to give everything. I don’t expect you to give anything. I told you many times, even if you are supportive, heart or spirit, that’s also very good. I don’t really ask you to give anything to anyone. I’m just telling you and then you decide. You have to decide well, decide nobly. Make me proud. Make your parents proud. Make your ancestors looking down, proud. Make your children proud. Make your family proud. And I thank you for doing that. One more thing. I just remember one more story before I go. Is it OK? (Yes.) One more story? Because it’s your mealtime. Don’t worry, your meals won’t run away. Your meals, you have every day. But me, you don’t always have. So, forgive me if I’m late sometimes, or if I don’t come on time. I have many other works to do. I already forsake my dogs for now, even though I miss them and they miss me, but I don’t see them these days, so that I can concentrate on you. Because I have other work also. If on you and dogs, I cannot always think of how to perfect the Supreme Master Television work. So, I cannot just have everything. Whatever I can forsake. And my poor dogs, of course, they cannot protest, so I forsake them for now. I will try to make it up later if I have time. I don’t know anymore. There’s one more story about giving. There was one layperson who always made offerings to a monk who was in retreat and in isolation all the time, to make everything comfortable, gives him anything he needs. And then the more he gives, the more his business prospers, and luck and happiness, and everything. So, he continued to give more. But then one day he thinks, “If I just give to a disciple of a master, so much merit and luck; if I give to the master himself,” master of this monk, “I will have much more.” So, from then on, he gives a donation, I mean an offering, to the master instead. And his business did not go any better, it’s even coming down. So then one day, he felt very bad. He went to the one that he always made offering to before, the disciple monk, not the master, but the disciple monk. And he asked, “Before, I made offerings to you. The more I took care of you every day, every day my business was better, and my life, better, everything… family, better. And then after, I made offerings to your master, because I think the master must be greater, more merit for me, and then my business has gone haywire. How come?”So, the monk said, “Because you gave before with the purity of the heart, just to take care of me, and you did not want anything. And you did not discriminate, as I am just a normal monk. Then God gives you indiscriminately. Just like the way you indiscriminately, unconditionally gave to me, God gives you the same. But after you discriminate, you calculate, you think the master is better than me and you begin to offer to the master, so God also will recalculate. God will also discriminate, thinking whether or not you are worthy to be given anything, any luck or any merit.” You understand now? (Yes.) So, unconditional is the way. Where did I read all this story just on time to tell you. Understand? (Yes.)Be happy if somebody else gets some credit, or some merits, or some gifts, or whatever. Be good. Be noble. Be Buddha. I’m telling you what, if you think you have Buddha inside, wake Him up. If you are just a future Buddha even, be prepared from now already. Because the prince, the crown prince, since he was young, he had to prepare himself already to be king. He knows he’s going to be king, but he must prepare from now already, from a young age already. Prepare yourself to be a Master, be the Supreme Master, be the Buddha. Be the Christ. Be prepared all the time.Don’t walk here. Don’t walk in front of the monk. Thank you. Amitabha Buddha. This is all you have? How many are not Taiwanese (Formosan), not Chinese, not Aulacese (Vietnamese)? Raise hands. OK, good. All of you come to the kitchen. Today I’ll treat the Mongolians, the Thai, the Koreans, the Burmese, Japanese... The Asians, but non-Taiwanese (Formosan), non-Chinese, non-Aulacese (Vietnamese). Come. Also, the monks and nuns. All right. Let’s go. You’re welcome, old monk. Very good. (Thank You, Master.) I repeat again. Today, only for the Asians, the non-Taiwanese (Formosan), the non-Chinese, the non-Aulacese (Vietnamese). They are a minority but it doesn’t mean they are not important to me. They are important to me. They’re very, very, very devoted people. Singapore, also fine. If you have not been with me in the kitchen to eat with me any time at all, please come.OK, I’m going now. Sorry, I must go. I will see you another time, another day. I don’t forget. I don’t forget you, the Westerners. I don’t forget. (Thank You, Master.) Just I take care of the hard cases first. Love you. Love you guys. (I love You.) See you later. See you later or tomorrow, special, OK? Special. That’s why I tell them to let you sit on both sides, so easy to see me. (Thank You, Master.) (Hallo, Master.) Love you. Hallo. Ta-da! Master is coming! Look busy! Love you guys. (Hallo, Master.) (Hallo Master.) (I love You, Master.) (Hallo, Master.) Love you. (I love You, Master.) Love you too. (I love You, Master.) Love you, thank you. (I love You, Master.)

Consider Others Before Ourselves, Part 4 of 5, Dec 28, 2019

In Heaven, nothing to do, only enjoying. Here we need! That’s why the Buddha came. That’s why Guru Nanak came. That’s why Jesus came and sacrificed, dying agonizingly like that. And we thank Them all the time for Their teachings and all that. Do something! Do something to repay Their sacrifices, Their suffering, Their teachings. Not always asking. Don’t snatch the blessed food from the elderly, please. I saw that. I was disappointed. I gave it to her, and I announced on the microphone it’s for the older, elderly. And then when she took it, you tried to share it. She didn’t say you could. At least you ask, “Can I, grandma, can I take some of the Master blessed food?” You just took it like that? That is stealing! Five Precepts, OK? Stealing, somebody did not agree or you did not ask. At least you ask and they say OK, then you take.Long time ago, there was one master – Zen monk or something or somewhere or some master somewhere, I forgot – lived in a small temple. And then the thief broke in and stole many things, took everything: the silverware or some things that were put on the altar – altar for offering to the Buddha. He took them and went out. And then the master said, “Hey, you come back here. You forgot to thank me.” So the thief said, “OK, thank you then.” Next day, the police caught the thief. And they saw all the silverware and precious things from the temple and they called the monk to come, and said, “We are going to jail this thief because he stole something from your temple. Can you identify whether or not these things belong to your temple? We thought they belonged to you. So, the master said, “No, he didn't commit any theft. I gave them to him, and he even thanked me. So, let him go. You can return the things to me but... Or he can keep them because I gave them to him. He said, ‘Thank you.’ He thanked me.” So, the police could not do anything. If you have to take something, if you really have to die for the blessed food, at least thank the lady or ask her first. I read some sutras for you just for the benefit of the world. I didn't steal anything, but even then, I said thanks. I thanked all the translators, all the saints and the laypersons who had taken time to write these books down, so that I can read to you, remember? (Yes.) I thanked them, and I gave a donation.By the way, I read the story from the Lord Mahavira to you, that I forgot to read and just a few days ago, I incidentally saw in the front, they said it's forbidden to transmit in any form. I did not really know that. I did not see that part. I was just so eager to show you some teaching, some examples, and I did not really read that part. And a few days ago, I read it and I made a promise: I will give a big donation to that company in India, the one who prints, the publisher. I will do that. So, everything we take, we must return by some means or another. We cannot just take it like that.Even if you know blessed food is good for you, but if you take it by unwell manner like that, I am not sure if you have any blessed food. I gave the food to the elderly here in the assembly, not because of blessed food or anything. I just want to give them my love. That's all. Blessing or not, it's up to individuals also. Whether or not she or he can accumulate or assimilate that blessing. Just like your brother, he cleaned my walking cane. I left it there, I don’t know how long ago. Maybe 10 years or something, or more. Many years already since I left it there. I don't always use that. I used it maybe only a couple of times, and he still felt the blessing. And even through that, some pain and suffering from the Master. Because nothing will be gone, nothing will be lost. Everything’s retained in the universe. Especially with some powerful things, it will remain there. But not everybody who touched the cane felt the same. It depends on your level, if you can assimilate the blessing or anything at all that's from the Master. Otherwise, it is not just like, “OK, Master gives the food and then it has the blessing.” Maybe. But if you can get it or not, it's another thing. And taking it from another elderly lady, then you won't have anything. You might even have karma. So, beware. I am not threatening you. I am just telling you the truth.I gave to the elderly people some priority to come inside the kitchen to eat with me, just for love. I did not think of anything else, blessing or not. Just for love between humans and humans. Because elderly people, they served. I told you already; just right there and then you did not listen. Just right there I told you, so that you do not get jealous or something. I said elderly people they served the world decades-long already. And even if they retired, sometimes they still have to take care of the grandchildren, or they do other jobs or other work voluntarily to help the world or to help whomever. And so, they deserve a little bit of priority. It's not that they need this food, or they sit next to me to eat. It’s just some form of respect and love. Because mostly, elderly people, they are lonely. And they are also not well. Any form of love is very, very necessary. So, if you love your parents, you love your elderly neighbors, you should. Now and then, pop in and say hallo, give them some little things. They don't really need anything from you, but any little thing, or love, or a hug from you, they'll feel very, very comforted. And they served their country, their family, their whole life already, so their time is very limited now. So, I give them priority; it doesn't mean I discriminate. Or you think because I am old, so I treat the old people better?Do you think like that? (No.) No. Of course not. When I was even younger or in SMC, I also invited sometimes, elderly people, when we had time. I invited the elderly people from China, or maybe Âu Lạc (Vietnam). Some difficult countries, some countries’ citizens that find it difficult to get the visa to come. I invited them, especially the elderly, because they don't have a lot of chances like younger people. Of course, some people die young, that's for sure. But mostly, it’s the elderly who will have less chance. Because I don't know if tomorrow or next week or next month, next year, they will be able to come again, due to their age. So I gave them priority, and you should understand that. You should know that even without me teaching you. Don't make me disappointed.Make me proud, and make yourself proud, and make other people feel happy. That's our duty. Unless they do anything wrong, you should make them happy. Or at least don't make them sad. Especially the elderly. Not because you want merits or anything like that, please cast that thing out of your mind. Cast the blessing food, blessing power or benefit to yourself in any way. Cast all that out of your mind. You have to be unconditional all the time, all the time. That's the only way you should live your life. That's the only way that can help you to elevate spiritually even. Oh! My God. And yesterday I invited some... OK, OK, go ahead, go ahead. Do you really “capiche” (understand)? (Yes.) You understood? (Yes, Master.) Really. (Yes.) Don't let me catch that scenery again. Because that is below your dignity, no matter what.Even if Almighty God comes here and gives this guy something, you don't come and snatch it. It's for him. Got that? Just like some people, they are rich because of their merit. They have earned it somehow. And maybe they have done some good things in the former life, offering to the Buddha, the sangha, or the good practitioners, or monks and nuns, whatever. Then they are rich in this lifetime; you don’t envy. You don’t wish that they’d give you something. Wish nothing. Whatever you have, that’s what you have. Like you see Saint Kabir, He was poor, but when His Truth seekers came, He even wanted to sell His wife for some chapatis, to treat His guests. I’m not encouraging you to do the same. No, it’s not like that. What I mean is learn from example. Be selfless. Be good. Be kind. Otherwise, I will not be proud to have such disciples around me, who just think of themselves, no matter what. That is not cool. Not cool. That’s not the way I teach, or any other Masters or teachers teach.Yesterday I invited some SMTV (Supreme Master TV) people who are like long-term workers, some in the house and some from abroad. But they even come here, they meditate as much as they can, but they must also do some work. We have a big room upstairs for them to have internet and everything, so that they can have their laptop there and work continuously. Because the Supreme Master Television has to go on, no matter if you are in retreat or not. And that is their goodness, their sacrifice, and I appreciate that. So of course, I have to say hallo to them, and say a few words of appreciation. (Yes.) Of course, it’s good if they… OK, go ahead, go ahead. I let you, otherwise, you’d have itching hands. Even if they work unconditionally, and this is the way they should do, but I also want to say my appreciation, and eat just a meal with them. It’s not much. Of course, they don’t need to eat with me. They can eat outside, everywhere, like everybody. Just now and then, I treat them good. And other Supreme Master TV, maybe only host once every three years, they came and gave me the card there, “Master, Supreme Master TV, me, me! I want to go up.”Everybody is a Supreme Master TV worker; I’m telling you the truth. Because they go out, they spread the veganism, which is our Supreme Master TV’s motive, and ideal, and Master’s ideal. And they go out, they help others. You like to clap, huh? Sitting too long. So, I don’t see anyone here or at home who is not a Supreme Master Television worker. I see all of you as Supreme Master Television workers. Just in different forms. So, don’t come and try to squeeze yourself up to the upper level. If it’s your karma, if it’s your merit, you would be invited one way or another, or somehow, Master will notice you. And if not, you will have a good experience, you’ll feel good working unconditionally for the world. That should be your pride. Not to go and sit, eat with me. Got that? (Yes.)Besides, I never have a big enough room for everybody. Otherwise, I would invite all of you. Just a smaller group is more intimate, so I can talk to them and make them feel a little happy. They’ve been working all these years. And normally, you don’t even know who they are, and I did not even know who they are. So now and then, I just want to say, “Thank you.” And you guys have to even make me feel guilty, standing in front of the door, showing me all the Supreme Master TV cards, and wanting to go up. You know how I would feel. You should not do that. You should let me feel happy, relaxed, to come up and give all my love energy to that group of people who are meritorious or have good karma somehow, to be invited up there. You should not be standing there with long faces, complaining eyes or words, and making me feel guilty and heavily burdened, before I go up to give them my love. You should be happy for everybody, for them, as if you are the one who are up there already. Not to demand and make me feel so bad. I did feel very bad.Of course, later on, I tried to forget it and make everyone there with me, happy and make jokes and all that. But even when I went home, I did not feel good after that. I feel I’m not good enough. I don’t have a big enough house for you. I feel bad because you feel bad. But you should not have done that. You should not compete, should not demand anything.Whatever we do for the world, it’s our privilege, our honor. Don’t wait until you have a near-death experience like her, and then know that, “OK, now I know what my mission is. I have to come back and work for the world.” Many near-death experience people, they know that they have to come back and be selfless and be of service to humankind. That’s always the same message. You are needed down here. In Heaven we don’t need you yet. Not always asking so Master does things for us. We do something for others, just like the Master is doing something for us, or for others. If you say you’re a student, then you learn what your teacher’s doing, and do the same. Not always demanding. I give what I can, of course. I give all the time, even if you don’t know it, you’re blessed all the time. You’re blessed, you’re lucky to be here in this retreat and see so many saintly beings here. So, learn something, do something. Learn from example. Not by talking all the time. Not always saying, “I love You, Master. Love You, Master.” If you love somebody, you make that person happy, not asking them to make you happy. Or not? Yes? (Yes.) Make me proud. If you are supposed to be invited, you will be invited. Just accept whatever’s your lot. Of course, when you have a reason, you can complain. But if it’s all clear, already told to you that that party last night was only for those who are continuously working, even here, then you know already you’re not in that category. Then you should not be staging a demonstration right in front of the temple, making me feel guilty like that. Is it right? (No.) Yes or no? (No.) No. It’s not my disciples’ behavior. And that put me off also. Say, what kind of disciples are like that? I had just told everybody to be selfless, and then behaving like that. And I had just told right there, that we have to respect the elderly, that’s why I give them special food from my table or from my kitchen there, personally. That’s also an example for you to learn to give! But then you do the opposite, you did the opposite. You take! That’s not cool. The Master came out and served people, and you there, grabbing it from them. That is the opposite direction. You should be ashamed and repent, and don’t ever do that again. Always others before us. Of course, that doesn’t mean that makes you better or feel good, not always.

Consider Others Before Ourselves, Part 3 of 5, Dec 28, 2019

The law of cause and effect still exists, is still effective. Otherwise, everybody can do anything they want, and there will be no punishment. Maya is gone but not disappeared. He’s waiting for you in hell to join him if you don’t live your life according to virtuous and moral standards – that could harm others. (From Tokyo, Japan.) Hallo. (One month ago, I had an inner experience in which Master told me that my time in this life is about to end. But during that time, I forgot to recite the Holy Names to check whether the Master I met is real or not. I’m now really doubtful and check myself all the time. I feel some hatred, I don’t meditate well. Master, can You please clarify if the Master I met was real or false?)Not real. Even if it’s real, so what? I thought you all wanted to be liberated in one lifetime, quickly go Home, no? So why are you fearing? Don’t worry. Just meditate as usual. Before you meditate, you pray to the real Master to help you and protect you. Don’t worry. Thank you.(An initiate from Busan, Korea.) OK. You? Korea? I just want to look at you only. OK, good, good. Come. (When meditating, I fell asleep and had a fantastic dream.) Yes. (I was on a pure lake or ocean. Suddenly it changed and became a huge surge, and it came toward me.) You put your earphones on, so that you can hear the translation, idiot. So, that’s why he’s afraid to come out. It’s just a loving kind of talk. It’s not a scolding or it’s not an insult. Come. (I was so scared.) Just like your friends, together say, “Hey, dude! Love you, dude.” Meaning, “Idiot, I love you.” Dude is the same as idiot. You know, right? Just friendly talk, “Hey, where are you going, dude?” OK, come on.(But surprisingly, it changed into something like ice or vapor or wind or Light. And then a magnificent castle came out in a different dimension. Was this a spiritual experience or just a dream?)It is an experience. A dream is some kind of vision also. It’s not always just a dream. After you meditate on your bed, you slowly lie down, and then whatever you experience during your so-called sleep is your vision. But sometimes you don’t meditate well before you sleep, so you can also have a lousy dream or maybe a karma dream or maybe like a mixed-up dream. But that is a vision, because you remember so well. It’s very good. Most people don’t remember their dream. Very good.(From Hong Kong.) Hong Kong! Hallo! (Dear beloved Ultimate Master, we saw on Fly-in News that Master announced, “Maya is gone. Negative force and karmic force are also gone, but everyone should be responsible for their own actions.” Does this mean the law of cause and effect still functions? And what is the difference between karmic force and the law of cause and effect?)Very good question. Anybody knows how to answer? Always make me work. You always pretend to be deaf, dumb and stupid. OK. Never mind. The law of cause and effect still exists, is still effective. Otherwise, everybody can do anything they want, and there will be no punishment. Maya is gone but not disappeared. He’s waiting for you in hell to join him if you don’t live your life according to virtuous and moral standards – that could harm others. Then he’s waiting for you. But the maya is not here anymore to tempt you, to make more trouble for you, to make it more difficult for you to decide to do the right thing. So, this burden is lifted from your shoulders, from your existence. So, from now on, it’s easier for you to recognize what’s right, what’s wrong, and follow your heart, follow your conscience. You got that? (Yes.) But if you do something wrong, then you are the only person responsible. And he will be waiting for you happily, “Ha ha! Now come to papa.” You understand? (Yes.)So, it doesn’t mean you do anything you want now and no consequence. It’s not that. I just lifted out the extra trouble, the extra, the troublemaker, the tempter, the evil kind of network that’s making you more trouble. For example, the government forbids drugs. For example. But that doesn’t mean the drug doesn’t exist anymore. You still can try to find it. And if you find it and you take drugs, then you have to have the consequence. Or alcohol, for example. But there is not so available every effort to tempt you anymore. And there is no drug dealer to come to your children’s high school to tempt the innocent youngsters. So, a big burden is already lifted up.So now is your own time. And the same with negative. The same with negative power. The negative so-called entity that carried the power with him is gone. But we, before we were born, or since time immemorial, we have this negative trace embedded in us already. It takes some more generations to maybe clear it all up. So now you have to decide which one is no good. You have guidance; you have the rules. You have the Five Precepts. You have my teachings and the teachings of ancient Masters, which we air every day on [Supreme Master] TV. That helps you to stay focused or stay on the straight road and not go astray. So, it doesn’t mean that whatever negative thing you think or choose won’t have any effect on you or other people. It will have. So, keep pure, focused, straight. Always recite the Holy Names and the Gift. That is the best protection you have. And the meditation, so you can go up and digest the power that you newly acquired through meditation. Protect yourself. (The last question is from Singapore. My dog and cat have both been vegan since I adopted them when they were one month old, and they watch Supreme Master Television much of the time. When they pass away, will they go to the New Land? Will I see them again in the spiritual world?)You will see them when you see them. It depends also on how much merit they have. It’s not just eat vegan and then go to New Land, it’s not like that. Maybe they still need to reincarnate. And even if you see them in New Land, they are not your little cat anymore. They will be big, great, radiant beings. You won’t recognize them as cat and dog anymore. Why do you want them to stay in that way? Adopt another dog or cat to love and to cuddle. Every being should not eat other beings, and that is correct. But, by being vegan alone is not meritorious enough to go to a higher Heaven or the New Land.Man, what a price! It’s just an initiation and you want your five, six, nine generations liberated, and your cat, your dog, your mouse, your… whatever. I did not promise that. I promised, if you practice well, maybe your five generations or more would be liberated. I did not say any dogs, cats, or worms or whatever’s in your house, vegan or not. Many beings are vegan. Even the ants, they eat vegan. They eat grain and just some leaves and stuff, you know that. Right? And they will not be liberated because of that. Many little beings, they’re also vegans. They will not be liberated because of that. And the trees, they’re also beings. They don’t eat anything even. They’re completely breatharian, or waterian, at least waterian. They just draw some water from the ground; they don’t eat anything. It doesn’t mean they’re going to the New Land, all the trees around your house or the plants on your balcony.Don’t ask too much. Just meditate. And whatever you can offer, then your relatives and friends will benefit. By being your cats or your dogs, and being vegan, they’re already highly elevated. But to go to the New Realm, Tim Qo Tu’s New Realm, that is another story. OK, sweetheart?(That completes the questions, Master.) Thank you. Good questions, and you behaved very well. I’m happy. I’m very happy. This is the way we should organize all the time. Thank you for your help. You’re happy? (Yes.) Very good. (Master?) Yes? One more? (I’ve just been given one more question.) Read, please.(I hope I can read it. In July of 2019, our Mongolian members established a cooperative business which is named “Vegan World.” Currently, we are producing vegan foods, namely steamed dumplings, bakery, vegan wine, which is non-alcoholic and made of wild berries from nature. Even non-vegan consumers love to drink the wine, as it has medicinal benefits. We have distributed our products through many supermarkets in Ulaanbaatar. That’s the first good news. And the eco-construction building company supported our idea in many different ways. We have a 10-minute TV program where we introduce an alternative way of vegan home styles by our members. Thank You, Master, for Your love and everything You have done. Oh, I’m sorry. This is another one.) The first question: You’re welcome. Good luck for your business. Second question.(I had a near-death experience in 2017, because of a car accident, and I was unconscious for many days. During that period, Master took me to Heaven, and we flew together to see many magical sceneries, which I had not seen from this world. Master said to me that “You have to go back and work for others.” Since that time, I have been working for Supreme Master TV from home, and my husband and three children are also initiates supporting me. My daughter also does translation from Japan, which is a wonderful opportunity blessed by You. My daughter-in-law also turned vegan and got initiation. Thank You, Master.)Wonderful, wonderful. Welcome home. Who are you? Stand up. Welcome back. You think you can escape just like that? We still need you here. It’s good that you know the life after, so you have more faith, and your family also gets helped. Very good. We have even one near-death experience among us. We always saw it on TV, on our Supreme Master TV, or reading the books of near-death experiences, or on other televisions, but we have one here. Come, let everybody look at you. Come here, come here. Turn around, everybody look at her. Turn around. They look at you, not me. I know you. I took you up, remember? Over there, over there. They look at you, not me. I know you already. Come. We were together up there, remember? It’s me who took you back here, remember also? It’s beautiful up there, but we have work to do here. I’m glad that you’re willing to do that. And I’m glad that all your family understood, I mean, finally.Welcome back! Look at the ghost. How to say, the new ghost. Come back. That’s good. Help me. Apple, whatever is easy for you. There’s more over there. Come here, come here. How many in your family? I forgot. (Six.) Six! Put your robe up. Just hold it like that. One, two, three, four, five, six. It’s a special case. Don’t be jealous. Careful, careful, careful!Good, good. Special case. Rare items in our house. Because you always think that the near-death experience, maybe it’s a novelty or maybe it’s something that happens to somebody else until you yourself have that experience, or at least the one near you. Then it’s more convincing that there is really life after death, and we are not just this body.We are borrowing this instrument, the so-called body, so that we can work for others. So, hurry up, help others any way you can. Be loving and kind to all and help to elevate the world. Help to elevate the world, meaning the world will have more peace, will be vegan, and meaning will help billions, trillions, countless animals, now and in the future, not to suffer, not to be harassed or tortured in any way. So, that is the way we should do. You’re all born into this world with a special mission, whether or not you know it, like this sister. She’s just one of the cases that knows. But even if you don’t know it, you have the teachings of all the Masters: the Buddhas, Jesus Christ, Prophet Muhammad, peace be upon Him, Guru Nanak, Lord Krishna, etc., etc. They teach you all the same: be loving, be kind. So, we just do what is right. What the Masters taught us is always right. They don’t teach us anything wrong. So, we just do the right thing. Always be selfless, and begin from here already.

Consider Others Before Ourselves, Part 2 of 5, Dec 28, 2019

You are responsible for everything you do, for everything that you get out of what you do. I told you already. No one else to blame anymore. Be sincere, then you’ll get the rewards that you cannot imagine. And you’ll have good inner experience, your life improved, everything will be good. (Several months ago, I was in SMC, helping to organize and remove some of Master’s items. I was in a tiny, low roofed room, across from Master’s cave, where Master’s washing machine, cooker, etc. were. After looking at the items, I was crawling back towards the entrance, when suddenly I noticed Master’s walking stick. I picked it up and began to brush off the dust that had gathered on the handle. As I did so, this immense energy and powerful feeling of love emanated through me. So great, so pure, but with feelings also of pain, sorrow and suffering: Master’s taking of the karma of our brothers and sisters, all humans and animals, dogs, cows, etc. The highest love for every co-inhabitant on planet Earth. I burst into tears for the profound suffering that Master has endured, and the ultimate real love Master has for us all. I asked the nun at Saint Martin Center if I could take Master’s walking stick. She said, “Yes. Take it to the SBL (Spiritual Blessing Line) in the UK, so all initiates can see, feel and experience the same.” This experience came back to me on Christmas Day, and I realized that Master is the original Santa Claus. Thank You, Master, for Your boundless love.) You’re welcome.(And may I add to that, Master? Some of the items… from St. Martin I took back to London, I drove back to London.) The walking stick, you took it back there? (Yes, and some other of Your items, the sofa, and so forth, for brothers and sisters.) Yeah. (There’s a family of initiates in Norway, in Oslo and I said that I would drive from the UK to Oslo to take Your items for them. And it’s quite a long journey. It’s 24 hours.) Oh? From London to Norway? (Yeah, by driving. Because it was a sofa and some other items of Yours.) Oh dear. OK. (And so, after about 16 hours on my journey, it was about two, three o’clock in the morning. And I got pretty tired, so I stopped at a service station. And I went into the service station and asked for a black coffee. And I asked the person serving if she would be kind enough to read me the ingredients, because now I was in north Denmark, northern Denmark. And it’s in Danish. So I couldn’t understand.) You don’t know what is written. (Yes. I said, “Could you read this for me? Would you be kind enough to read the ingredients because I am vegan.” And she said, “Vegan? Well, why don’t you just have one of our vegan beef burgers?” And in the middle of nowhere. And she pointed to this corner, there’s a little shop in the service station. They’ve got not vegetarian, vegan sausages, vegan beef burgers. And I said, “Yeah! I’ll have one of those!” And so, I sat in the van afterwards, once I bought it,) Munching your (vegan) sandwich. (and I was just staring at this vegan burger and just couldn’t believe it. North of Denmark. In the middle of nowhere,) Yes. (Master’s love, and what Master’s mission is, to have a vegan beautiful world. I was holding it in my hand, and just everything that You’re doing. We want to thank You.)It’s OK, my love. It’s OK. I thought you were going to munch it in happiness. You were just looking at it, what for did you buy it? You ate after a while, right? I hope you didn’t just keep staring at it. (It was the best vegan burger, seriously, that I’d ever had! It was just one of those moments.) OK. You drove alone? (Yes.) Wow! What devotion! Thank you (Thank You.) for your love and your faith in me. I am very proud of that. (Always.) OK. Wow!Indian brother, come here. You go home and just give it to that rescue place. For now. I am sure they can make use of it. Be careful. You tell that… (Yes, I want to inform, she informed that they are starting a project of artificial intelligence to test drugs instead of dogs, that will save many lives. So, IBM has sponsored some scientists and the job will start in January 2020 in full swing.) They test the drug on dogs? (They are developing artificial intelligence. Currently, the drugs are being tested on dogs.) Now they don’t. (So they suffer and lots of lives are lost. So, once artificial intelligence is developed, all drugs will be tested on that software.) Wonderful! Wonderful! (That is all.) That’s what we should do. (Thank You. Thank You.) That’s what we should do. We are getting more and more high tech now, so they should never use animals for any purposes anymore, except just to love. To love them and to be loved in return. That’s all. Is it OK if you take all that back to India through customs? No?(Sending through the bank will be better. If they wire it from here, can do, Master.) Can do, of course. (We already did $10,000 USD. Similarly, they can send to the same account.) How much can you take into the country? (Maximum $5,000 USD.) Five thousand only? (Yes.) OK, then take first (OK.) half of it, no, a quarter of it, (OK.) and then the rest will come. (OK. Thank You.) Take a quarter out of that. (Yes, I will.) Quarter of the sum, (OK, I will do that.) and it would be about $5,000 USD. (Thank You.) (OK.)Let him take a quarter of that. Take a quarter of it. That would be equivalent to maybe $5,000 USD. Then they can use it immediately for whatever. Don’t worry about it. Just take some. If the customs take it, then just let them take it. It all stays in India. Don’t worry. Next one, please.(Sao Paulo, Brazil. One time, during group meditation, I had an experience. There was a lot of white (inner Heavenly) Light; there were a lot of puppies also. Very beautiful. When I tried to look closely, a female voice told me not to stay at the same level. I should keep going up, and there will be more beautiful realms and Light.)Correct. Yes. We should never stop at any beautiful scenery or beautiful places or beautiful experiences. There is more all the time. Just like me now, I don’t know how… I cannot count anymore how many Realms I pass every day, just to collect some more power. I don’t even have the brain memory to even write it down because the number is just so immense, so great. Before, I was happy if I passed in a day, maybe 20 different Realms; I was very happy already. Now, it’s not possible to even think in our language how much. But it’s very fast. Every time, it’s just about maybe a few – two, three seconds. Otherwise, I would have no time to come here or no time to do any other things. Sometimes, I have like a message inside and I try to gather the message, but half-way through I have to stop for a few seconds just because I’m ascending. And the message line has to be stopped for a while, and then I resume again. Just by the way.Whatever we think or feel inside, the whole universe knows it. So do not try to cheat anybody or don't tell me anything, lies or anything. Useless. Because Heavens also sometimes report to me. They said, “All Your disciples love You,” today, for example. And the day before, They passed the message to the workers of the Supreme Master Television to say that They really love and respect what they are doing. So, last night, I think I passed it on already. Right? Yes? (Yes.) Yeah, I did. Something like that. So, we are transparent, actually. It's just that Heavens, higher Heavens, do not nose into our business. But if They want to, if They want to convey something, They see through all of us. So, if you come here for true spiritual elevation, They know; if you’re coming here just for fun or just have nowhere else to go or nothing else to do, then you might be in for some surprise. Maybe you'll even be kicked out of here for some reason or for no reason or for some very little reason. It's not my fault. You are responsible for everything you do, for everything that you get out of what you do. I told you already. No one else to blame anymore. Be sincere, then you’ll get the rewards that you cannot imagine. And you’ll have good inner experience, your life improved, everything will be good. But if you come for some mundane reasons, then maybe that’s all you get or maybe you don’t get that. And you don’t improve spiritually, then you will blame even the Master. “You don’t bless me. I want a girlfriend, why don’t You give me a girlfriend?” Or, “I want a boyfriend, why doesn’t it happen?” I am not here to give you a boyfriend or a girlfriend.I told you from the very beginning of my mission: Only to find God, to find your Self-Greatness, to find your Buddha Nature inside, become enlightened, be good to yourself, then to the society, and to the world. I have never promised you to come to me and you will have girlfriend, boyfriend, richness, health or whatever mundane things that you wanted to have. Could be that you came in for some very mundane reasons. Fine. But after a while, after listening to more of my teachings, you should know that’s not the goal. That might be just the catalyst for you to come in, to get initiation. Fine, fine. Whatever reason is good. That’s why I gave everybody a chance. But change. Change as you immerse yourself more and more into spiritual energy and wisdom. You change. (From Vancouver, Canada.) Thank you. (Whenever I listen to the story about Lord Mahavira, I am very touched and feel purified. In the past, I used to easily lose my temper and get angry with others. Since Master told us about Lord Mahavira, I feel very calm and peaceful.) Good for you! (Has Lord Mahavira reincarnated on Earth to help Master? And when I meditate, I often think of Lord Mahavira. Does this conflict with following Master?) I thought you knew. He is standing before you. Originally, I said that, but then I said no, we delete that part. So that whatever I read or explain is more objective, more neutral. I didn’t want you or anyone to feel like I was praising my past incarnation. If the story helps you, then it’s good. But it’s not just the story, it’s the Master who reads it. It’s my energy that goes through it as well. So, in a way, Lord Mahavira did help you or helped me. Good for you. I’m glad, I’m glad. Good for you. Anything else?(From Los Angeles, California, USA. I live in the USA, but I am from Madagascar. I visited Madagascar in May this year. Before I went, I could meditate four hours a day with no problem. But now, I am struggling to do two and a half hours a day. I would like to help my country, but don’t know how to do it. Why did it affect my meditation?)Why does it affect your meditation? Because you wanted to help your country, so you share your merits, your spiritual treasure with them, with your country, so you have to lose something. That’s the price to pay. Join the club. Join my club. Welcome to my world. It happens to me all the time. But you will recover. You will recover. Just meditate more diligently. Pray to all the Heavens to help you, Master Power to help you. But it’s very noble that you want to help your country. It’s very good, but it doesn’t mean that you lose nothing. For example, I just gave some brother some money, that means I lost some money. How can I give him and then I gain more? Or the same amount stays in my pocket? No. What you give – gone. Sorry. That’s the way the karma working. That’s the way it is.(From Missouri, USA. Beloved Master, thank You for this chance to see You for the first time. I am feeling very blessed.) Oh really? Come here. See me more. Sit for a while. So, you can see me more, first time. All right. (When I meditate, I see the Sun and it changes colors many times. It looks blue, purple…) I thought you wanted to see me. You’re looking down and crying, how can you see me when you’re all blurry like that? You see the Sun and then? (Yes. It changes color many times. It looks blue/purple around it sometimes.) Yeah! (Is there any spiritual meaning to these different colors?) No. It’s just, the Sun has many colors. It’s just we don’t see it like that mostly. Even when I see the Sun with the naked eye, it has blue color around it, just to protect my eyes. The Sun is very kind… Sometimes, I look at the Sun admiringly and I thank him, whenever I see the Sun by chance. I don’t often see the Sun; you believe it or not. I just bury myself in some meditation or in front of the computer. And now they have a mobile home for me where there’s no Sun, very little Sun, and I have no chance to see much. Whenever I can see the Sun, always, not just now, I always thank Him. I always thank this great being: Thank You for being with us. Thank You for cheering us up every day and blessing our planet with an abundance of varieties of beings, of living beings and non-sentient beings, that You help us to grow and to nourish us and to cheer us up. When you see the Sun on a sunny day, you feel more cheerful. So, I thank the Sun whenever I can remember, whenever I see the Sun. The Sun has rainbow colors surrounding it and within it. The Sun is a Fifth Level being, so there cannot be just one golden colored ray that we see every day. There are more. So, you are blessed to see one, or two of it or some of it. Just say, “Thank You” to the Universe. Thank the Sun for revealing it to you.

Consider Others Before Ourselves, Part 1 of 5, Dec 28, 2019

Whatever the reason, to be vegan is good. (Yes, Master.) Not everyone understands about the spiritual consequences. But if they are vegan, that is fantastic already.Hallo! Is this the car for me? Is it heavy? Tough guy. Hallo, everyone. Everybody OK? (Hallo, Master.) Why do they sit outside? Why do they sit outside? (They’re longing to see Master in the daytime, so they’re staying outside.) They will go into the hall later, right? Or else? I don’t understand. They can also stay inside if they’re longing to see Master. (It’s already full inside.) Is it full? Oh, my God! I’m sorry. (Hallo, Master.) Are you cold? (No.) You don’t feel cold sitting together? (No. Hallo, Master.) Everyone has a body temperature more than 30 degrees. It’s hundreds of degrees all together. Wow. (Hallo, Master.) Will they still be sitting outside later? Can’t they go in? (Some will not be able to get in. Hallo, Master.) Really? Can’t they just squeeze in? (Master, we’ve asked them to let them go inside if there’s any space.) Arrange the space as much as possible for them to get in. Otherwise, we can also cover this place in the future, so it’s more… Fortunately, the weather is good, right? (Yes.) Thank you all. Thank you for your love.Working staff? All of you? No. (Hallo, Master.) This car is very convenient. It makes me taller so everybody can see me. I’m sorry. We couldn’t build enough. Never enough. (It’s OK. Thank You, Master.) But you have good places to stay, right? (Yes. Thank You, Master.) You can stay in the Treasure Museum. (Yes, it is convenient.) Is there enough space? (Yes.) If not, bring your own houses with you. There’s still some room. Squeeze in as many people as you can. People from abroad. The Taiwanese (Formosan) have seen me enough. No need. People from abroad, like from China or… from Âu Lạc(Vietnam). (OK.)Thank you. Thank you. Thank you. Thank you all for your love for God, for your own God, for your inner God, for your Buddha. I am glad you are here. Sorry about the small place. But they still can come in, behind, there’s room. (OK.) And they can find… one here and the men on this side. I go like this. OK. I am very small. I go this way, that way. No problem. OK. It’s only the guards, they make it big. I am nothing. You see? Both of them, both sides, they take the whole route.Love you. (I love You.) (We love You!) Even if we build one more house, maybe it’s not enough. I keep giving birth to children, that’s the problem. In Âu Lạc (Vietnam), we have a legend that we are born from the fairy mother. She gave birth to 100 eggs, and from 100 eggs came 100 children. And later, 50 of them went to the plain and another 50 went to the mountain. But that was BC, “Before Ching Hai.” They don’t know I gave birth to much, much more than that. A hundred children are nothing. And some people don’t even believe in that legend. They say, “How can a woman give birth to 100 eggs, and then how can 100 eggs become 100 children?” They don’t know me. See how many children I have? And another thing, the Buddha’s legend has it that the Buddha was born and immediately He could walk seven steps. Remember? (Yes.) My children, they’re running already before they were born. Running and flying even, can you imagine? They don’t know me. So, every other legend is BC, “Before Ching Hai.” Thank you. Thank you. So maybe in the future, they’ll have another legend: AC, “After Ching Hai.” Just sit down. I can fly over you, don’t worry. Sit anywhere. There is also some here. The working people, come up here. I am very, very proud of you. And I’m very proud of myself. That I gave birth to so many wonderful children who make me proud. Also behind there can sit. It’s all empty in the back. If anyone is still outside, let them enter from the side entrance and sit in the back. It’s all right. That’s what a retreat is like. I mean, during a retreat, everything is squeezy like that. Some people can come and sit here. Ask the old Bodhisattvas to come up. There are… six of them. They can sit here. One, two, three, four, five, and six. All of you come up here. Come sit here. You sit here, in the front. Sit behind the monks. The old initiates. Then, others come up and sit here. Fill up the space. You can also sit behind there. Yes.We need to be self-sacrificing and contributive. Don’t fight over things. Don’t compete against each other even if for Master. When people get blessed food, you want to snatch it from them, which is not right. Not to mention that the food is for older initiates. You can’t be like that. How come all of you squeeze to the front? It’s all empty in the back. Don’t come in anymore. Never mind. They can sit here, down there in the back. In future, you can arrange it like that. Arrange more seats until there’s no more space. There’s still room over there. It doesn’t matter male or female. They come here only to see Master. They won’t look at men or women, will they? (Yes.) I hope. I hope it’s like that. Sit there. Just leave a path for the guards. How are you? (Good!) (We are fine.) All the foreigners are here? Koreans, Mongolians? You all are here? Thailand? Burma? Laos? Cambodia? All right, all right. Good. You see, they can also sit down there. Why don’t you let them? Retreat is different. Everybody has to squeeze a little bit. It’s not the same as usual, to have a lot of space. Why is it all empty over there? (It’s reserved for monks and nuns.) Reserved for monks and nuns. (Yes.) Why are there two seats? Just sit here. Just bring things up and sit. Give the space to others over there. How many people can’t get inside? There’s space for monks and nuns. You might as well shave your head quickly, so that you can come up and sit there. Yes. One person wanted to shave her head just to be able to sit here. You want everything. Can you squeeze a little bit more up here? Next time, monks and nuns can bring their belongings and sit here. Why put it over there? You’re supposed to sit here. Just don’t occupy additional space. We have to be different in retreats. It’s all right to cram with each other. Hurry up and be seated. There’re still more seats here.Do you have any questions or anything to tell me? Has anybody collected their questions? Yes? Yes, yes. (We have some questions for You.) Please, please. (From India.) India? Oh wow! How come you sit down there? I thought they all can sit here. Never mind, you’ve been here long enough, or you can come up and sit. There is one more row here if you want. Yes.(The Shining World Compassion awardee, Dr. Shiranee Pereira, informed us that she used the award money to build a new shelter for cats who were rescued from the meat trade. She conveyed her deep gratefulness and thanks to Supreme Master Ching Hai for helping in a time of financial crisis for her animal shelter.) OK. How much did I give to her? (Ten thousand dollars.) Ten thousand only? I will give more. (Thank You, Master.) Mostly, we give some symbolic. Can you manage quickly? So that he doesn’t have to wait, bureaucracy and write a letter. If you have some money, can you bring it here? Do you have? How much? Like $20,000 USD, if you have. If not, just Taiwanese (Formosan) money. They can change it at the airport. The equivalent. Thank you. OK. That’s it? Any other questions?(Yes. From Jakarta, Indonesia.) Indonesia. Yes. How are you? (Fine, Master.) Yes. (Master turned a calamity into good fortune. Earlier this year, while riding my motorbike to purchase vegetables, I was hit by a car. I fell down and everybody screamed. But to their surprise, I was OK. Thanks to Master’s protection, nothing happened to me. A few days later, while waiting for customers at our vegan stall in Jakarta’s Chinatown I was watching Supreme Master Television, a teleconference about Tim Qo Tu’s Land. I felt extremely happy! Suddenly, from out of nowhere, all kinds of customers started queuing in front of our stall. For many days after, our food was all sold out, even by lunchtime. Thanks to Master’s blessing! I can only practice well to thank Master.) You are welcome. (Yes, Master. Thank You so very much.)(One thing I can report to Master is that the vegan tendency in Jakarta is rising up now, Master.) Oh! (Because we are opening a vegan stall, me and my wife. We are opening a vegan stall over there, and more and more customers come for health reasons.) Oh! I’m glad, I’m glad. (Yes, Master.) Whatever the reason, to be vegan is good. (Yes, Master.) Not everyone understands about the spiritual consequences. But if they are vegan, that is fantastic already. (Some have already turned into brothers and sisters, because I explained to them about Master’s teachings and they also got initiated now. Yes, Master.) Congratulations. (Thank You, Master.) You have more brothers and sisters now. (Yes, Master.) I hope your meditation Center is not as crowded, because we will have more customers all the time. Spiritual customers. Anything else?(From Manila. I thank Supreme Master Ching Hai for all Her blessings, love, and guidance, empowering me as an initiate. I feel empowered to make things come true, my wishes for my family, my Quan Yin Family, and our country, the Philippines. Thank You. Mabuhay!) Mabuhay! Long life! Good health! That’s your president who says that. (Yes, Master.) Every time I saw the former president on our [Supreme Master] TV, I felt very touched with his speech and his heart. He has a very pure heart and a good heart. He always wishes our TV. He says, “We, us – you, I, us – are watching the best television network on the planet, Supreme Master Television.” And he says, “Mabuhay! Long life! Good health!” That’s what he says all the time. OK. Thank you. (Thank You, Master. Thank You for all Your kindness and compassion.) You are welcome.(From Singapore.) Hi! (Thank You, Master, for founding International Artist Day. In 2020, we are organizing this event in Singapore, inviting artists, government officials, and members of the public. (Oh!) If it fits Master’s schedule, we’ll be very honored if Master could join us.) While I would like to, it’s just that I want to minimize the carbon footprint in my account. The time of me running is over. I used to run around the world, but I hope I can settle down here and then I can do more work than running around. I thank you and hope you will have fun together. You can record them and then we can air them on [Supreme Master] TV and I can watch it then. I will be with you in my heart. (Master, can we invite neighboring countries like Malaysia and) Yeah, if they want to come. (Indonesia to do it together?) If they want to come, but maybe they have their own. You check it out. I have no authority over these things. I don’t want to control who is going where and doing what. You do as you please, and anyone go where they’re pleased. As long as it’s to help the world in some way, then it’s OK. Anything else? No. Good.

Practice Well and Everything Will Be All Right, Part 3 of 3, Dec 27, 2019

You only have yourself, your own karma or your family’s karma [to bear]. It’s just a group of people. Your five, six generations, I help; five, six generations of your ancestors I helped already. You only bear your karma of this life. When you pay it completely, then you go, bringing your family, your children, your friends along too.We are family, no need to say thanks. You are welcome. Is there anything else, love? (Yes. Last is the inner experience of a brother from the USA.) OK sister, go back to your place and rest. Thank you. You practiced well. You came here and the local gods came out to greet you, then you must be very good and strong. Congratulations!(My first inner experience is that I saw a big halo and extreme bright [inner Heavenly] Light from Your eyes. This experience, I told You already, about 30 years ago. At that time, while meditating, I saw a very bright white light, but I was afraid to look straight into it. In the first retreat in Pingtung, I saw this white light once again. But I told myself: “I should look straight into this light, if I am blind, so what?” Then I went through this white light and saw Master with a big, beautiful and pure golden light. And around Master’s head, there were a lot of white rays of light continuously moving in and out, beyond which was a huge golden halo.)(In the second inner experience, I saw You in the white [inner Heavenly] Light in the image of the Quan Yin Bodhisattva, and You were surrounded by a thick, fire-like golden light. I also told myself to look straight into the white light. Then from the center of Your body, Your heart emitted an enormous golden light towards me, and I was immersed in that light. I looked around and everything was bright golden color.)(And in the third inner experience, I went to one of the Heavens, and Master was giving a lecture to a very big crowd there. After finishing Your lecture, You emanated two halos, a giant golden halo inside, and a purple halo outside. Then Master looked at me and spoke in Âu Lạc language: “Only Quan Yin has this kind of halo.” I didn’t know whether only the Quan Yin Bodhisattva has this halo, or only the Quan Yin practitioners have this light. At that time, my initial thought was that only Quan Yin Bodhisattva [has this halo].)(My last inner experience was when I saw a dense white light, like billions of suns shining into Your eyes. And if You allow, I would like to share this entire experience. Thank You, beloved Master.) OK, continue. Microphone. (Hallo Master.) Hallo. (The inner experience is like this, Master. I went to a place where an Indian Master was giving a lecture. After the lecture, that Master was lifted on a sedan chair, with four people carrying it. And that sedan was a golden color. Everything was golden. I felt as if I had met this Master somewhere before? So, I weaved through the crowd, then I jumped on that sedan,) Wow! (and then I turned my head to look, and that Master changed into You. And later, I turned again and saw that all the four sedan carriers suddenly disappeared. And the sedan was [Floating.] still in the air even without people to carry it. And it flew out of that building. So, when I looked down, I saw a lot of houses and buildings down there. And the sedan continued to fly, out into space. Then I saw the stars, the moon, etc. The sedan continued to fly to a region where it was so dark, and there was no light at all. In that region, even dust doesn’t exist. And then I turned around, and Master had changed into a very old lady, so old that Her wrinkles were very deep. And I never saw anyone who was so old that Her wrinkles were so deep like that.) Oh my God! (And in Your eyes, even the pupils were all white, as if the eyes were full of light, Master. And I felt a little scared, because it was so strange, but only very briefly. Because Her face was so gentle, it made me feel relaxed, so I wasn’t afraid anymore. Then I looked around; the sedan had now turned into a small, simple, and very old boat.)(Because there was no light in that region, I could see the boat due to the light from Your eyes, Master. When I looked at Your eyes, suddenly there were two beams of extremely bright light coming out of them. Each of those light beams was so bright that it looked like white paper, Master. And each light beam was also like a gathering of millions of stars. It was due to that light beam that I could see the boat. So, I turned around to ask that Master. At that time, I was holding a rope, which was tied to the bow of the boat. That Master said: “It depends [on you].” After I heard that, I dropped the rope, then the boat just disintegrated by itself into pieces. Since there was nothing at all in that region, I felt like I was falling into an empty space, or a deep, deep hole. I was so afraid, I called out: “Master, Master, please help me.” I yelled one, two or three times. Then I turned around, and saw Master had changed into an African person, but Her skin was not that dark, just a tan color. When I came out of meditation, I didn’t know how to address that Master, so I temporarily named Her, Black Queen Mother. I think that no matter how old the universe is, it still cannot be as old as that Master. Therefore, I temporarily called that Master as “Mother of the Universe.” When I called for help, Master changed into that African person, that African lady. Then You flew to me and held my hand, then took me to that land. The story still continued, but I feel like it is kind of personal, so I would like to stop here. (OK.) That’s all. Because Your power, Your light, Your halo were so intense, and so bright, so glorious, that I wanted to share with You and initiates.) Thank you. (I thank You very much, Master.) Your spiritual practice did improve. Many decades of practice to have one long inner experience like that? Normally, it comes as a flash and disappears right away. OK, is there anymore? (It is finished, Master.) Finished? (Yes.) “Thank God”! All right! Thank you all.I am proud and happy to see you doing well in your spiritual practice. You don’t need to give me any gift, any money, nothing. If you practice well and improve, that is a very precious gift to me. That’s all. And if you practice well, everything will be all right, understand? I took on a lot of karma, but I am still OK in the end.You only have yourself, your own karma or your family’s karma [to bear]. It’s just a group of people. Your five, six generations, I help; five, six generations of your ancestors I helped already. You only bear your karma of this life. When you pay it completely, then you go, bringing your family, your children, your friends along too. So, it is not that difficult, but when we work hard, our body is tired. It is difficult to attain a human body, but then having this human body makes it more difficult to practice spiritually. If we don’t have a human body, we can’t practice spiritually a lot, but having a human body, we also have obstacles. Inside a human body, there are a lot of organs, and also invisible pressures, which were created inside our body already. Therefore, when men and women grow up, they are tortured, commanded by these pressures, and sometimes they can’t control it. That’s why it is difficult. And since ancient times, there have not been many vegan people in society. Therefore, it is a little difficult for us to be vegan. Sometimes, we eat the non-vegan food by mistake, and that creates obstacles for our body and spiritual practice. This society is very difficult for us to live in. But you can see clearly that it is getting easier and improving every day. It is more cheerful every day. I am very happy for the country of Âu Lạc, extremely happy! Thank you all. Thank you all. Thank you for practicing diligently, then your country will become more prosperous, and happier. It’s thanks to you. I can’t do it all by myself.Thank you for taking care of the destitute or the innocent animals, who do not have the means to help and liberate themselves. I thank you for doing it on my behalf. If you need any financial assistance, then write to me, OK? Write a letter to the “Foreign Department.” You know? The FG group, understand? That group is very powerful. Controls everything. They forbid the 72-year-old people from coming here. I didn’t know it. It depends on the person. But normally, the law is like that everywhere, meaning it only applies in general, it can’t check every person’s situation, because we are kind of a big group. That sister, did you call to Âu Lạc yet? You will do it a little later? Later, huh? If he can’t come today, then tell him to come tomorrow. There were a few times, I did ask why he didn’t come? I thought he abandoned me already, and followed someone else. Following some other lady already. Tell him that I miss him, OK? If possible, tell him to come right away. If not, then as soon as possible, understand?(Thank You, Master. Because he also misses You a lot, but he couldn’t come. He also said that… One time, when I left to come here, he cried as he saw me off.) He cried? Oh my God, poor him! I also knew it. That’s why I was always anxiously asking why he didn’t come. All right then, tell him… Tell him if he is still healthy and still loves me, then come here. (I thank You, Master.) You are welcome. Tell him Auntie Hải misses Uncle very much, OK? I miss him, because he is already at an advanced age, but still very sincere in his practice, doesn’t mind the hard work or any difficulty, and doesn’t fear anyone. He is a pioneer for the later groups.OK, is there anything else? If not, we go out to eat. All the elders from Âu Lạc can come to eat with Auntie Hải. The young ones can wait. It is not that I discriminate, OK? Those who are above sixty years old, or seventy something, can go to the kitchen to eat with me for fun. And the young ones can wait until you are old, then you can go in. Then get old quickly, so that you can come in to eat with me.I don’t discriminate old and young, but the old ones probably have less opportunities than the young ones. They may be here today, but gone tomorrow, or today they are healthy, tomorrow they become weak and can’t come. They lose the opportunity, that’s all. Also, they offered all their life to serve humanity, to serve their country, their family, their children, friends, then when they grow old, we should give them a little bit of privilege. It’s not like they go in there to eat to get fatter. It’s the same. I eat all the time, but I’m not getting fat. Ah, I gained a little weight. Sometimes I eat too much, I gain a little bit of weight. When I was still practicing asceticism, when I had my hair short, meaning no hair, I was skinnier.Since I came to Taiwan, they feed me this and that every day. Sometimes I didn’t want to eat, but they put the food in front of me. So, I sat down and ate anyway. I kept eating while thinking of whatever. I just put the food into my mouth, but didn’t know what I ate. And so, I gained weight, my body developed, but not at the right place. Luckily that up here, at the head, I still develop all the time. Because if I only developed right here, then it would be troublesome. The clothes that I designed would not fit me anymore, if I continued eating like that. Then we can’t sell the clothes to anyone, because when I wear it, it only covers half my body. If I gain weight, then the clothes only cover half my body. And the chin is growing downward until where, I don’t know. These kinds of collars they made don’t help at all. Because if I gain too much weight, this collar can’t cover anything. Sometimes my chin covered the collar even. OK, you guys go to rest, OK?Ah, I forgot. Anyone didn’t receive the Gift yet? Raise your hands for me to see. Oh my God, where were you that you didn’t receive my Gift all this time? You let others take them all. OK, all right, I will show you, but you can’t tell anyone, OK? (Understand.) You can’t even tell me, understand? I’ll tell you a few times, then later… Not yet, not yet… Not yet. Not in a hurry. Let her translate clearly. I’ll just tell you a few times, and later, if you forget, you can ask again. The organizers will take you to some place where you can learn again. Meaning they’ll remind you again until you remember.Remember and then recite every day. Recite the Five Names, then the Gift together. Five Names then the Gift, then Five Names then the Gift. Then no matter what [lower] level you fall into, you won’t suffer. But don’t fall to any [lower] realm, OK? If you fall, I won’t come back for you. This time, I want to go forever, I am too tired! Rest, I am going [Home] for a vacation. I’ll take a vacation for a few million years, then think about it later. It is so hard to teach the worldly people.Because I also have a meeting after. So, I will stay with you for a while and then I have to go. I will go to eat with the elders only for a while, then I have to go attend a meeting. After that, I have a lot of work at home, which is not done yet. OK, the urgent work. Thank you. OK, today, you comrades are exuberant, right? You are not feeling discontented anymore, right? (Yes.) Building this house is helpful, because we have a place to sit and to organize.Otherwise, I had to run back and forth before. I had to run to [the area of] the Aulacese tents, then to the Mongolian tents, then to the Korean tents. This is OK, because you can take turns to come and meditate here. This house is always open, every day. If you cannot come to meditate now, then come another day. But when you come [here] to meditate, then Auntie Hải is here, for sure 90% of the time. But coming over on other days, sometimes She is here, sometimes She runs to another place. She went to work at another place already. So, if you see Her, it’s fine. If not, it is your karma. Don’t blame Auntie Hải, OK? (Yes.) OK. Thank you all! Thank You, Master. Kitchen. Kitchen, huh? Yeah. Just bear with it, OK? I heard that if a man is asked to carry this, he will feel that he’s been mistreated. No? You won’t? (Honored.) Honored? Yes. It's a rare opportunity, right? My purse is so beautiful. No one can touch it, only you can. OK, see you.Bye-bye! I may see you later, or tomorrow or some other time. You working staff should leave; go back to work. Your dress is so beautiful! Ah, it’s beautiful to wear Âu Lạc dress (Áo Dài), isn’t it? (Yes.) Aulacese (Vietnamese) dresses are improved now. They make a zipper at the back. Sometimes, they had some kind of small hooks for Aulacese (Vietnamese) dresses; I had to hook them together. Sometimes, they use press studs. I just managed to press them together, and the studs came out again. Or sometimes, I hooked this hook then the other hook came out! Now it’s good that they make a zipper at the back of the dress. They make a zipper at the back of the Âu Lạc dress. That is advanced! OK, I’m going now. Whoever wants to see me again, then run over there.Thank you. Thank you very much. I make it slow. OK. Go, go, go! It doesn’t go. It might go if I restart it. Yes, it also gives me trouble. Gives me a hard time, this little car. Careful. OK. Leaving. (Thank You, Master.) I will give you Westerners more time later, another time. Today is Aulacese (Vietnamese) time. Westerners, I’ll see you later. Don’t worry, all of you chocolates. (Thank You.) (Goodbye, Master.) See you later. See you. I will give you time. Today is the Aulacese (Vietnamese) time. But I don’t forget you. The Mongolians, the Koreans, the Thai, the Cambodians, the Laos, I don’t forget you. We’ll take time. One group at a time! I love you all. God bless. Thank you. (I love You.)(Hallo, Master.) Love you! Thank you. Thank you. Be careful, mind your feet. (Thank You, Master) Hallo! (Hallo, Master.) This car is nice. It makes me look taller. (Hallo, Master.) Convenient for all to see. Love you. (We love You.) (We love You!) Love you too. Love you too. Not many people? I better go into the kitchen, it’s so cold. (Hallo, Master.) Hallo, I will go to the kitchen soon. I will be back soon. (Hallo, Master.) Hallo. Thank you, thank you. (Hallo, Master.) Hallo, everyone. Mind your feet. (Yes.) I can’t see in this car. I can’t see your feet. (Yes.) Hallo. (Good night, Master.) Hallo. (Hallo, Master.) I will go back. I will turn my car around. Oh, are you cold outside? (No.) You’ve gotten used to it? (Yes.) OK, I am going to the kitchen. (Hallo, Master.) Hallo, everyone. (Hallo, Master.) Hallo. (Hallo, Master, I love You.) Thank you.(Please take care of Yourself, Master! Yes, O Master.) Thank you! Thank you! Thank you! (I love You, Master!) Thank you. (Thank You, Master.) Thank you very much. (Thank You, Master! Hallo, Master.) Thank you. Love you. (Hallo, Master.) Love you. I am going to the meeting. (OK.) If I have time, I’ll see you later. (Hallo, Master.) If I have time, I’ll see you again. Hey! Working staff, thank you all! Thank you.
