Severe flooding follows Haiti’s devastating earthquake.
Located in the Caribbean, Haiti experienced a catastrophic 7.2 magnitude earthquake on August 14, 2021, that rocked the nation and just two days later, was also hit by a powerful tropical storm causing widespread flooding. As of August 20, 2021, over 1.5 million people have been affected, with over 2,100 lives lost. The United States Agency for International Development (USAID) and the US Coast Guard have been helping to treat injured people, transport critical supplies as well as find persons buried under the rubble, with rescue efforts having been hampered by blocked roads due to landslides and flooding. The United States Defense Department has also created a joint task force to assist the nation. Supreme Master Ching Hai has sent a humble contribution of US$30,000 to Haiti to aid the victims. Such saddening news Haiti, and thank you, Haitian government, United States and all countries that are assisting in helping those impacted by this tragedy. We pray for all the affected and that the souls of the ones who have lost their lives rest peacefully, in Heaven’s embrace.
World Health Organization announces COVID death toll marker.
On July 7, 2021, the World Health Organization (WHO) stated that the global fatalities from COVID-19 had reached 4 million, and as of mid-August 2021, it currently stands at 4.3 million people. However, it has been noted that the number is possibly higher, with estimates from the US-based Institute for Health Metrics and Evaluation indicating that the actual number of deaths as of May 2021 was more than double the official count. The WHO also stated that the number of people losing their lives to the virus is actually increasing in some countries and encouraged greater collaboration between nations for the equitable worldwide distribution of vaccines “from a moral, epidemiological or economic point of view.” Our appreciation, WHO, for your report on the current state of the world and COVID-19. In the grace of God, may our prayers for repentance and a vegan world soon bring an end to unnecessary suffering.

Hallo, cheerful friends, how are you today? I’m Popo the vegan Finless Porpoise. With every meal I eat, I save lives. Join me in the compassionate vegan lifestyle. We have a useful tip on caring for your eyes. There are numerous eye issues that can be treated with a cold compress. For example, it can lessen swelling in the eye area or decrease eye redness by contracting the blood vessels within the skin surrounding the eyes. First, clean your hands with soap and water. Then wrap a washcloth around a plastic bag containing some ice. You could also just use a washcloth that is wet with cold water, but make sure you squeeze out the excess water. Lay down and get comfortable, then close your eyes. Next, with gentle pressure, apply the cold washcloth to your eyes for approximately 5 to 20 minutes or for the period recommended by your eye doctor. However, if you have puffy eyes, be aware that this could be a sign of an allergy and may need to be treated with medication. Thank you for your attention. And love you for Being Veg and Going Green 2 Save the Planet thus save the world! Now, the global weather.
German researchers find link between time spent outdoors and better brain health.
Scientists from the Max Planck Institute for Human Development and the Medical Center Hamburg-Eppendorf in Germany recently conducted a study on the effect of going outdoors on people living in cities. They found that being outside enhances mood and correlates positively to an increase in gray matter in a part of the frontal lobe in the cerebral cortex of the brain. This area of the brain is responsible for the planning and regulation of actions as well as cognitive control. It is also known that a lessening of gray matter in this part of the brain is associated with many psychiatric disorders. Thank you, Max Planck Institute for Human Development and Medical Center Hamburg-Eppendorf, for your important study and the reminder of the value of spending time outside. In gratitude for the incredible Universe, may all people have ample opportunities to connect with and cherish the blessings of nature.
Scientists in United States discover new way to recycle rare earth elements.
Researchers from the Idaho National Laboratory have found a new low-cost method to extract and recycle rare earth elements from discarded electronic devices. It was determined that a certain kind of bacteria called Gluconobacter oxydans could be grown in potato wastewater or plant remnants from corn fields, and the acids produced by the bacteria can successfully leach the rare earth elements from the devices. Previous studies had used glucose to grow the organisms, but the cost was too high, and the new method is at least 22% more economical. Way to go, Idaho National Laboratory researchers, for your innovative method to conserve these important elements while finding a practical use for agricultural waste products. In God’s eternal love, may we move quickly towards a circular economy and sustainable living.

Special hospital attends to wildfire-affected animals in Turkey.
The Federation of Animal Rights (HAYTAP) has established Turkey’s first-of-its-kind field hospital to help domestic and homeless animal victims of recent forest fires in Manavgat. Veterinarians volunteer to provide free-of-charge medical care in the fully equipped first response facility, which incorporates intensive treatment units and a surgery room. Furthermore, the non-profit has opened several more animal field hospitals in other fire-affected areas of the country and also provides a sanctuary in the northwestern city of Bursa for rescued farm animals. HAYTAP posted a message on social media, saying, “We will save our animal friends and keep them alive. Pure love will save them and us.” We are so touched by your benevolence, Federation of Animal Rights and volunteers in Turkey. May compassion be our most precious guideline to create a world of kindness for all, in Allah’s mercy.

“Because it needed help solving all its problems, of course.”
And now we have a heartline from Bích Ngọc in Âu Lạc, also known as Vietnam:
Dear Supreme Master Ching Hai, Every day in my life as a practitioner, I find that there are always tests, which encourage me to practice diligently to overcome obstacles and elevate myself. Sometimes, I found myself having less ego, greed, anger, and delusion; and I witnessed many miracles.
I would like to share with You about the day when my daughter was in labor in Hong Kong. Suddenly her baby’s heart stopped beating. The lives of the mother and the baby were in great danger, so the doctors decided to do a Cesarean delivery. It was so urgent that they had no time to give anesthesia but just tried to save the mother and baby as quickly as possible. Miraculously, just as the doctor was holding a knife to prepare for surgery, the baby’s head popped out. The doctors were extremely surprised, but delighted, that both mother and baby were alive and well. My family was so happy.
Master always takes care of everything thoroughly. You taught me and gave me a happy family and loved ones who can live freely and peacefully. I thank Master so much. We wish You a long life. May Heaven protect You and bless humankind. I wish the Supreme Master Television team good health to continue your noble work. Bích Ngọc from Âu Lạc (Vietnam)
Aware Bích Ngọc, Our appreciation for your heartline. Master advises us to always be alert and humbly watch out for obstacles and negativity that can make us fall, for the benefit of ourselves and others. We are so grateful to Master for all She does, Her miracles, and Her Love and guidance at all times. May the Heavens bless you, your loved ones, and the benevolent people of Âu Lạc (Vietnam).
Master responds with joy: “Devoted Bích Ngọc, I am pleased to read of your spiritual progress and of the rewards that are making daily living easier and more enjoyable for you and your family members. Welcome to the new baby, and may you, your cherished friends and family, and the charitable Aulacese (Vietnamese) people know the Divine’s loving embrace.”
