To begin part 2, let us hear from a few attendees and guest speakers who made this event so special. The first guest is a workshop teacher, Luke Marsh (vegan). “I live in a vegan community in India, called Sadhana Forest. I am here today to speak to people about Sadhana Forest. The more trees we can plant, the more people we can support, and the more animals we can save. So that's what I am doing here. I recommend coming here; and being a part of this and seeing how fast the vegan movement is growing around the world. So many people, so many organizations here.”

As our next guest, we welcome the distinguished Dr. Sailesh Rao (vegan), a systems specialist who achieved immense success with his significant contributions to the internet and subsequently became deeply involved in solving the humanitarian crisis of our time. Dr. Sailesh Rao is also a recipient of the Shining World Award for Earth Protection from our Beloved Supreme Master Ching Hai (vegan). “I'm here because I'm giving a talk tomorrow, and I'm also the executive producer of several of the films that are being shown here. So, I'm here to do the Q&A for the movies. I like the intensity of the event. I think it is absolutely amazing. I love what's going on in Indonesia (regarding) the vegan movement.”

“Hi, my name is Chok. I’m Malaysian, and I'm a vegan now. Why is it that I have turned from a non-vegetarian to vegan? The main reason was because I was detected with cancer. Mine is a lymphoma (lymphatic) cancer, and furthermore, it is a stage IV cancer, meaning that the cancer cells are in every part of my body. From my study, there is a lot of scientific research proves that a vegetarian or vegan diet helps to so-called promote health. That's why I changed to become a vegan.”

“I have been traveling to different places and giving talks. Because I realized that being a vegan, is not about just changing from eating meat to eating vegetables, but it has a lot of impact on oneself. And it also has a lot of impact on the environment, a lot of impact on many animals. It seems like there is a group of people celebrating, but there is a bigger group of animals that are suffering and dying. So, I hope this does stop; this will be reduced. And ultimately, I hope that when this group of people is celebrating, the other groups are also celebrating together.”
