World Food Programme delivers humanitarian aid to refugees in Iran.
The World Food Program (WFP) has contributed monthly cash transfers valued at more than US$232,200, and 274 metric tons of fortified wheat flour, vegetable oil, and lentils to refugees residing in Iran to reduce the socio-economic impact of COVID-19. In addition, the WFP is continuing to assist the refugees through activities that provide them with skills to help ensure employment when they return to their home country. The Government of Japan, a Shining World Leadership Awards for Compassion, Animal Protection and Generosity laureate, previously donated US$7 million to WFP for refugees in Iran, which was used in part for the latest provision of 350,400 three-layer surgical masks and 739,000 N95 masks for Iranian health workers. Our sincere appreciation, and Heaven’s blessings, World Food Program and Japan. May we continue to work together to ensure all are safeguarded during this uncertain time, in the Divine’s forever protection.
Study finds sea level rise due to melting ice sheets are matching worst-case climate scenarios.
Scientists from the University of Leeds in the United Kingdom and the Danish Meteorological Institute gathered the latest data on the mass of Greenland and Antarctica ice sheets from satellite surveys and compared them to calculations from climate models. They found that the rate in which ice sheets are reducing is consistent with the worst-case sea level rise predictions of the Intergovernmental Panel on Climate Change (IPCC) report. The scientists warn that if this rate of decline continues, global sea levels could rise by an additional 17 centimeters by the end of the century, exposing 16 million people to coastal flooding annually. In addition, research recently published by Ohio State University in the United States showed that Greenland’s ice melt has gone beyond the “point of no return,” and even stopping all fossil fuel extraction will not be sufficient to prevent further melting. Our gratitude, all involved researchers from University of Leeds, Danish Meteorological Institute and Ohio State University, for providing this vital information. We pray everyone acts now to preserve precious life, starting with a transition to the world-saving vegan diet, in God’s boundless mercy.
Up next, Hungary adopts zero-emission buses. We’ll take a moment to thank vegan dietetic technicians for helping people, such as those at nursing homes, to plan healthier meals and make better food choices to improve their well-being. Good day elated viewers, I’m Dazz the vegan Quetzal. You can feel great like I do with a loving, plants-only diet. Prove it for yourself by being vegan! I have a safety tip for you and your beloved pet today in case of an emergency. Be prepared and gather supplies to place in an emergency kit for your pet. It should include items like food, drinking water, bowls, cat litter and pan, a can opener if your pet consumes canned food, a first aid kit, medications and medical records in a waterproof folder, recent photos of you with your pet just in case they get lost, and durable leashes, harnesses and/or carriers to carefully transport your pets if they are frightened. Create an evacuation plan, as many shelters and hotels do not allow animals with the exception of service animals. Love you so much for Being Veg and Going Green 2 Save the Planet for all humans and us all co-inhabitants. Thank you for tuning in, and now for the weather around the globe.
Hungary switches to electric buses.
The government of Hungary has launched a Green Bus Program that will help the country’s largest regions change 50% of their buses to electric models within the next 10 years. Cities with more than 25,000 residents will be eligible for the initiative that will see €104 million invested in the way of co-financing. The plan is part of the nation’s goal to become carbon neutral by 2050, in line with the European Union’s Green Deal. Hat’s off, Hungary, on your move towards a bright future of eco-friendly living. May your benevolent work for the environment and health of your people bring many blessings to your peace-filled nation, in Heaven’s grace.
Seattle assists people experiencing homelessness in the wake of COVID-19.
The city of Seattle in the United States has allocated US$13 million from the Washington State Department of Commerce COVID-19 Emergency Housing Grant to aid individuals living without homes during the coronavirus pandemic. It will support measures including hygiene service maintenance, decreasing crowding in shelters and permanent housing initiatives. Since the virus outbreak in the area, food assistance has been provided to those in need, shelter space has been enhanced by also using facilities such as community centres, disinfection actions have been increased, and places including new tiny houses have been offered for people to isolate or quarantine. God bless your thoughtful efforts, Seattle and Washington State. In Divine light, may we always take good care of our vulnerable co-citizens.
Zimbabwe President signs progressive new law for education system.
The President of Zimbabwe His Excellency Emmerson Mnangagwa has approved the Education Amendment Act that was passed by Zimbabwe’s Parliament. This Act gives pregnant girls the right to continue their education. In addition, the law states that teachers are no longer allowed to use corporal punishment. Instead, the school must have a disciplinary policy that respects the human dignity of the pupil. It also declares that students are not to be excluded from classes due to the non-payment of school fees. Our accolades and thankfulness, Your Excellency Emmerson Mnangagwa, for your new forward-thinking law benefiting your nation’s youth. May Heaven bless all the students of Zimbabwe with much success and best of health, in the loving embrace of the Providence. Supreme Master Ching Hai: “Thankfully present His Excellency Emmerson Mnangagwa the Shining World Leadership Award for Caring, with high salute, appreciation and praise. May Heaven protect and bless you as you do for others.”

Australian program encourages school children to eat more vegetables.
Vegetable growers in Australia are recommending primary school teachers utilize the Commonwealth Scientific and Industrial Research Organisation (CSIRO)’s Taste & Learn program to educate and encourage children to increase their intake of vegetables. This five-week initiative of the national science agency was designed for Australian primary schools to focus on hands-on, structured activities that are aligned with the Australian school curriculum. Children are taught to describe the vegetables in terms of color, texture or flavor, helping them to understand and articulate what they enjoy eating, thus improving their willingness to consume more vegetables. We commend your exemplary educational program, Commonwealth Scientific and Industrial Research Organisation, which can assist in leading the way towards a compassionate, vegan future. May organic veggies become the favorite food of all youngsters for a flourishing world, in Celestial bliss.
Animal sanctuary founder wins charity platform award in the United States.
In recognition of his extraordinary efforts to save farm animals, Christopher Vane, founder of Little Bear Sanctuary in Punta Gorda, Florida, USA, was presented the donation platform GoFundMe Charity “Hero of the Month” award for August 2020. Open since 2017, Mr. Vane and his spouse Randy Sellers , both vegans, have been tending to over 150 rescued farm animals at their 30-acre sanctuary. The various residents of the free-to-roam safe haven include pigs, sheep, cows, chickens, goats, donkeys, dogs and a tortoise. To cultivate “a more harmonious relationship between people, animals and our planet”, the nonprofit has also been encouraging the plant-based lifestyle through sanctuary tours, volunteer opportunities and on-site events. Our hearty felicitations, Christopher Vane. God bless you and Randy Sellers for taking care of our animal friends and promoting cruelty-free living. In Heaven’s compassionate guidance, may our world soon turn vegan, where all beings bask in love, happiness and serenity. Supreme Master Ching Hai: “Joyfully present the Shining World Compassion Award to Little Bear Sanctuary, plus a humble contribution of US$10,000 for this noble cause, with so much love and best wishes. May you and your adored residents be forever blessed and shielded by the Divine.”
Please take it easy and laugh with us at this joke of the day entitled “The Decoration Product.”
Mr. Johnson had ordered product number 699 from a decoration catalog, but saw that the package he received was not what he ordered. He called customer service:
“Today I received a package with the number 669 on the side. I'm really not happy with this. When can I receive my product?”
“Mr. Johnson, can you please turn the package over?”
