At the Oxford Literary Festival in the UK, Bill Tara, a natural health educator and author, interviews Dr. Sailesh Rao (vegan), a systems engineer and founder of Climate Healers, about his new book “A Guide to Planet B.” Dr. Rao explains that humanity currently operates under a profit-driven system he calls “Planet A,” which has created a linked “polycrisis” of environmental, social, and institutional failures. To address this, he proposes shifting to “Planet B,” a model focused on nourishing people, restoring ecosystems, and prioritizing well-being over profit. Central to this transition are major changes to the global food system— namely, shifting toward vegan diets, making healthy food freely accessible to all, and freeing up land now used for animal-people raising.
I’m basically saying that the polycrisis is so urgent, we need to address it so urgently, that we need to declare an emergency, a global emergency, because this crisis can kill us, extinguish humanity (Oxford Literary Festival)

Rubbing eyes or using hands to remove foreign objects can cause corneal abrasions and severe infections. Experts advise staying calm and using a mirror to locate the object. Blinking repeatedly lets tears flush out debris, or rinsing the eye with water or saline solution can dislodge it. In cases where objects are deeply embedded, causing intense pain or blurred vision, patients must seek immediate medical attention for professional treatment (VnExpress)

Previously in Parts 1 and 2 of Pamela Nance (vegetarian)’s near-death experiences, American healer Pamela shared how her first near-death experience came just before her sixth birthday, how later out-of-body experiences deepened her spiritual path, and how years later, after dying twice in one morning from a perforated ulcer, she found herself beneath the Tree of Life, reunited with her beloved Rottweiler Holly, and then carried into a lush garden with healing waters.
From out of the mist came a monk, a Buddhist monk. And he said that he was my guide in this garden where I come in my life between lives for healing and rejuvenation and also learning, particularly about animals. And we came to an area where the tree line went away, and there was just this huge, beautiful meadow, like a pastoral scene of animals — horses, cows, sheep, goats, the adults and the babies all munching grass. The babies were running around playing, and they just beckoned me. I had to run into the midst of all these animals, and I felt a kinship and a knowing — that gnosis [direct, personal revelation] that you have that you can’t describe — but it was a knowing that, OK, this is me. This is where I’m supposed to be.
But as Pamela turned back toward her guide, the meadow and the animal-people began to dissolve before her eyes, replaced by a shimmering curtain of color. She asked where they had gone — and her guide began to reveal the deeper meaning of everything she had seen.
And he explained that the valley that I went to first, between the mountain ranges with the tree and all the animals, is a halfway point where I go between the physical and the spiritual. And I had not crossed completely over to that spiritual garden because my husband had pulled me back. And he said that the pastoral scene that I had been shown was just to give me an idea of what I do when I go into the full spiritual realm. But I was not meant to stay this time. This was just to show me what awaits me on that other side.
Pamela was pulled back into her body to face surgery. Doctors determined that her ulcer had perforated and lasered the bleeding vessel. She had lost 30% of her blood volume. After days in the intensive care unit (ICU) and later in a regular hospital room, she was released on April 27th — profoundly changed.
I was going through familiar neighborhoods, but it was like I’d never seen them the way I was seeing them. I could see the energy coming from the plants and the people, and just seeing the world in a new way. We arrived home. My husband helped me from the car, but I didn’t want to go inside. And in our front yard, we have a 350-year-old oak tree. And I’ve always loved that tree. She’s a feminine energy. I call her “she.” And I often would go out and hug her. But for the first time, I could see her energy. I could see the love coming from this tree. And I ran over and just was hugging her. For I would say a year after that experience, I was ramped up. I couldn’t turn on a lamp without blowing the light bulb. If I flipped on the overhead switch, the light would blow. If we went out for an evening walk, when I walked under a streetlight, it would go out, and I’d pass on through, it would come back on. I couldn’t grocery shop any longer. If I pulled cans off the shelf, I would be shocked, almost to the point of it being painful, and sometimes seeing like a little blue arc and hearing the pop.
Pamela went on to earn a Level Four certification in healing touch and volunteered in a top-tier medical university hospital, successfully relieving post-operative pain and assisting patients in the dying process. She continues to practice energy healing to this day.
That experience opened me to just wonderful opportunities and experiences and changed me. I was not a big meat-eater prior to that NDE [near-death experience], but after I had that experience, I knew I could no longer partake of animal flesh. So I became a vegetarian. I always had a respect for the environment, but it went so much deeper after that experience. And it also gave me a connection to everything, to people, and to this love that has created us all. We’re here because we’re loved. And it’s sad to think that dogma separates us. Religious dogma instills fear. And there’s nothing that should separate us. It’s just the fear, because we’re all connected. We’re all part of this wonderful love. And that’s what we need to focus on — our similarities, not our differences.
It was so affirming that this is just — we’re in grade school here. Our true Home is on the other side. But we have a duty here. There’s a purpose we’re here. And that’s what each of us needs to find: what is our purpose, in a conscious way. You look at this beautiful planet — how can you doubt that there is a higher consciousness? This didn’t just like happen. There is an intelligent consciousness behind the design, and you just have to open yourself to that and believe it, because when you do, wonderful things happen.
