What I meant is that, of course, when we practice spiritually, it should be like that; the more we pay attention, the louder it will be. If you pay attention and it becomes louder, then it is better, so why you let it be natural? […] OK, if you can hear it naturally, then it is good already. (Yes.) Of course, the (inner Heavenly) Sound should be heard 24/7. But if you want to hear more clearly, then you have to concentrate. The more you listen, the more you can hear it clearly, then it is better.

Hi! What’s this? You’re bribing me, huh? No. No bribing. Just work. Videotapes for editing. Who are you? (Âu Lạc [Vietnam].) Then, I don’t talk anymore. Âu Lạc (Vietnam), then I forget it. What? Do you have anything? What do you comrades want? (I have a problem with my left ear. Please tell me what to do, Compassionate Master. Yes, normally...) Just ignore it. Ignore it. OK? (But I would like Compassionate Master to bless me.) “Blessing” already. (Yes.) If you want to be “blessed-on”, then go down there, (Yes.) the hufas will “teach” you for a while. (Yes.) It is OK. Just pay attention to the right ear; don’t pay attention to the left ear. Just ignore it. (I still need Your blessing...) Oh God! Forget it, papa.

OK, is there anyone who wants to be “held”? Do you want “blessing” or “lesson”? How come so few? How come the Aulacese (Vietnamese) are so few? (They are here. Some more here, Master.) Ah, they are sitting down there also? (Yes.) Where are those people come from? And these are “real” Aulacese (Vietnamese), right? (There are only a few coming from Âu Lạc [Vietnam], Master.) Âu Lạc (Vietnam) has only a few people, because they could not come here. Many thousands of people wanted to come, but couldn’t. What, do you have anything? How come you can come? Where? Which comrade came here from Hồ Chí Minh [city]? These three people? Four, or five?

Wow, did you “escape”? You “escaped” across the border? (If Master allowed us to go, we could go.) I always allow you to come, why would anyone forbid you? Your money; if you have, you can go. Who would forbid you? You always blame me for anything. What? How come you can come? (We used the tourist company.) You came here as a tourist? (Yes.) But how come other people could not go? (Because we have to have the passport.) Anybody can have a passport. How come other people could not come?

The ones who came from Âu Lạc (Vietnam) can ask questions, or can cry all you want so that when I drive my car by, you don’t grab me. Tell the Aulacese (Vietnamese) whenever they come here, to not grab me randomly. Or all can grab the “frogs” (fall down)! If you want to talk, take it easy, don’t grab me like that. What? How do you practice over there? (It is normal.) Normal? OK, that’s good. Next time, the Aulacese (Vietnamese) sit together, and the Chinese sit together at your place. So when I see Aulacese (Vietnamese), I see you all together, and talk in Aulacese (Vietnamese).

I wore three, four layers of “armor.” Before seeing the Aulacese (Vietnamese), I wear four, five layers of “armor,” so I am safe. Today, I wore the armor, so I don’t feel anything. I only laugh, see that? Now, you can pierce me, but it doesn’t go through. When I sit together with the group of Westerners, they talk gently. Then suddenly, [the Aulacese] dropped a “bomb.” I was startled. You come in and ask nonsense questions. But how come you don’t ask anything today? See that? Now that I wear the “armor,” you don’t care to “beat me up” anymore. You keep “attacking” suddenly, like the guerrilla style. I am too tired! Today, who dares to “attack,” then “attack.” Really, you can ask anything now. Today, I am not afraid.

(Dear Master, I would like to ask You a few questions.) OK, OK. This is Aulacese (Vietnamese)-Chinese. Watch out! (Dear Master, I often... like right now, here, even with my eyes open, I still can hear [the inner Heavenly Sound], but when I close my eyes, the Sound is softer. At home, often when I sit in meditation, I would fall asleep. When I woke up during the night, I heard the [inner Heavenly] Sound. Should I pay attention to that Sound or let it be natural?) Of course. (I just let it be natural?) No. Of course it is like that. It is supposed to be like that. (Ah, it is so. So I don’t have to concentrate anymore; just let it be natural.) No, silly! I didn’t say it like that, you interpreted wrongly. What I meant is that, of course, when we practice spiritually, it should be like that; the more we pay attention, the louder it will be. If you pay attention and it becomes louder, then it is better, so why you let it be natural?

Do you understand Aulacese (Vietnamese) clearly or not? (I don’t know Aulacese [Vietnamese] very well. I can’t speak it well.) Otherwise, you can speak Chinese, then. (I can speak Cantonese.) But I don’t know Cantonese. (Ah, yes.) “I can’t speak it clearly, and don’t understand clearly. I can only speak broken Cantonese.” OK, if you can hear it naturally, then it is good already. (Yes.) Of course, the (inner Heavenly) Sound should be heard 24/7. But if you want to hear more clearly, then you have to concentrate. The more you listen, the more you can hear it clearly, then it is better. (Yes. When I meditate on the [inner Heavenly] Sound and Light, I don’t use the ears nor the eyes. I only pay attention to the wisdom eye.) What? (Normally...) I don’t understand what you said. What about the ear and eye, all kinds of things? (I mean, I only pay attention to the wisdom eye when I meditate on the [inner Heavenly] Sound and the Light. I don’t pay attention...) OK, I know, I know.

(Just like there is a sentence in the Surangama Sutra, it says…) Forget it! Don’t talk about the Surangama Sutra. (Yes.) We can’t even finish talking about our [teachings], what for to talk about the Surangama Sutra? What? When you meditate on the (inner Heavenly) Sound, you don’t pay attention to the ears but still hear the Sound, right? (No, I only concentrate on the wisdom eye.) OK, but do you hear the (inner Heavenly) Sound? (The Sound is soft.) But do you hear it louder and louder? (Yes.) What? (It is louder and louder, but...) Ah, then it is good. Just pay attention to the (inner Heavenly) Sound, not to the ears. Right.

(If I meditate and enter Samadhi, and feel as if my body has no feeling, then is it better than normal meditation?) You don’t have feeling? (Like when I meditate and enter Samadhi, my body doesn’t have feeling anymore.) Also, you don’t see the body. (So in this case, will I make progress in my spiritual practice?) Do you see that you are making progress? (Yes.) Yeah, then it is good already. You are in Samadhi already, what for you worry about spiritual progress? (In the path of spiritual practice...) Of course, the more you enter Samadhi, the more you improve. What a silly question to ask. (Sometimes when I didn’t enter Samadhi, my mind was thinking a lot.) That’s right. (When I entered Samadhi, my mind stopped thinking.) When you are in Samadhi, you don’t think anymore. (So does it help with spiritual progress more?) More progress. Where did you go in your Samadhi, that you don’t have any wisdom at all? Ah, OK. You’re alright. You practice well. But your Aulacese (Vietnamese) is not OK.

(Master.) Yes. (Today is also Your birthday.) Not yet. Too early! I wasn’t born yet, my mother was just about to go in labor. (I came here sincerely to...) You just ask questions only. (wish Korea to have permanent peace, so that we can grow to be Saints, because of this ashram. I am grateful to Master.) OK. (Thank You, Master.) I thank you, thank you. You came from Âu Lạc (Vietnam), right? (I fled Âu Lạc [Vietnam], then was in a refugee camp, before I went to Austria.) Ah, so you went to Austria a long time ago, right? (Yes, I am from Austria and the contact person for Austria.)

Is the weather in Austria too cold for you? (It is just like in England, the temperature is similar.) No, in Austria is colder than in England. Truly, it is so cold in Austria. (Yes.) In Austria (sounds like “shirt”), it is so cold that you feel like you aren’t wearing anything. You get used to living there yet? (Yes.) You get used to it yet? (Yes, I have. I’ve gotten used to the Austrian weather already.) It’s OK. (When I got here, during the first night, the second night, I could not sleep. It was so cold that I wore four sets of clothes but still could not sleep.) My God, you came from Austria and complain that here is colder! (So I meditated all night till the morning.) Is that so? (Yes.) Then it’s very good. So you became a Buddha already. OK, if you don’t have any questions, then let others to ask. (Yes.)

Why? A few days ago, seeing me walking alone, you “attacked.” Today, there are so many of you, and no one opens his or her mouth? Are you done with questions? If you are done, then it’s OK. Only 10 o’clock? I don’t know why. Seeing the Aulacese (Vietnamese), Big Sister (I) could not say anything. Yesterday, I saw the Chinese, I could say a little. Yesterday, did they translate clearly for you? (Yes, they did.) Was it fun? Who translated? Yeah, that’s right. He was “busy translating.” (Also means a curse word in Aulacese [Vietnamese]). No wonder I could not find him. He was “busy translating,” right? He was always “busy translating” so I could not find him. Every time I asked: “Where is he?” “Dear Master, brother is ‘busy translating.’” That’s why they call him “busy-translating.” This word can’t be translated into English, and it is also difficult to translate into Chinese.

During the last few days, you guys meditated three, four days, and your faces look brighter a little bit. (Yes.) No more questioning? See that, it is clearly so. Then next time, it is good that we let the Aulacese (Vietnamese) initiates come last. They are so exhausted from sitting in meditation, so don’t want to ask anything. When I came out the first time, they were so eager. During the first few days they saw Big Sister (me), Big Sister (I) was like “dying.” Too scared! They dropped all kinds of “bombs” everywhere. They also used “guerrilla techniques” when seeing me on the road. How come you don’t want to ask today? Too tired, right? Climbing mountains, sleeping in the cold, and exhausting meditation, right? (Sleepy!) What? (We were sleeping and sliding.) You didn’t sleep? (We were sleeping and sliding.) You slept and slid down? Why should you pick a terrible place like that? You didn’t have any place? (No, we didn’t have any place.) No place? Then move a little bit sideways. (Any place is sliding.) How come... Huh? (Any place is sliding.) Any place is sliding. Because it’s our fate that we have no land.
