Supreme Master Ching Hai is a world-renowned humanitarian and spiritual Master, who has been assisting people in need both visibly and invisibly since the early 1980s. For Her dedication and selfless efforts, She has received numerous awards over the decades including recognition from former U.S. presidents Their Excellencies Ronald Regan, George H. W. Bush and Barack Obama. She has also been presented the prestigious Gusi Peace Prize by former Philippines President Her Excellency Gloria Macapagal Arroyo.
On February 22, 1994, a grand ceremony was held in Chicago, Illinois, USA, to honor Supreme Master Ching Hai with the World Spiritual Leadership Award. In addition, She also received a medal from Mr. Hung Kwang Chen, Chief Secretary of the World Cultural Communication Association, for Her generous aid rendered to those affected by the devastating Mt. Pinatubo volcanic eruption in the Philippines.
February 22 was also declared as “The Supreme Master Ching Hai Day” by six distinguished Governors of Illinois, Iowa, Kansas, Minnesota, Missouri, and Wisconsin of the United States, for Her charitable relief efforts to aid victims of a major Midwest flood the previous year.
Then President His Excellency Bill Clinton conveyed his thoughts in a message that read, "Supreme Master Ching Hai is a living example of world peace and love for all, especially Her help for the refugees and the many suffering people in the U.S.A."
