A hologram is a reconstructed image of an object with brightness, contrast and three-dimensions that can be displayed at another time and place, even though the original objects are not there. The concept is similar to a sound recording, where the sound waves of music, for example, are recorded and stored on a medium such as a tape or CD from which it can be reproduced at a later time.
