In today’s news, South Korea donates medical equipment to support Lebanon. Africa’s shrinking dry season linked to reduced wildfire burn areas, United Kingdom ratifies landmark treaty to protect oceans, Mexico City turns to rooftop rainwater harvesting as water scarcity grows, US teenager hailed for helping senior with dementia during extreme heat, European court upholds vegan inmates’ rights to appropriate meals, and US youth volunteer completes 100 hours of reading to shelter animal-people.

I accidentally knocked over the washing while playing today and daddy showed me how to fix the broken drying rack. I’d like to share that lesson with you. I learned that a broken rail doesn’t have to mean the end of your drying rack. With just a zip tie and a pair of scissors, you can make a quick repair to get your rack back in use. First, wrap a small zip tie loosely around the broken end of the metal rail. Then line up the broken piece with the main horizontal bar of the drying rack. Loop the zip tie around both the rail and the frame, then pull it tight until the connection feels secure and stable. Lastly, cut off the extra length of the zip tie with scissors or wire cutters for a clean finish. That’s all there is to it! This simple, inexpensive repair can help you get more life out of your drying rack instead of replacing it.

Let’s take a moment now to relax in the laughter lounge with the joke of the day, entitled “Mother Knows Best.”

For Mother’s Day, a son gave his mom a “World’s Best Mom” coffee mug.

“This is for you, Mom. Happy Mother's Day.”

“Finally—written proof that you agree with me for once!”

?!

And now we have a heartline in Filipino, with multiple-language subtitles, from disciples in the Philippines
