I just finished up on a beautiful garden re-structuring project, and it reminded me that today, I have a practical tip on how to easily move large garden landscaping stones and slabs. Always protect your body first by wearing sturdy gloves, eye protection, and boots, as heavy stones can shift or drop unexpectedly. It also helps to work when the ground is firm and dry. A simple rolling method used since ancient times can help you move heavy stones with less effort. Cut three pieces of about four centimeter (1.5 inch) in diameter rigid PVC pipe slightly longer than the width of the rock or slab. Use a crowbar to lift the stone just enough to slide one pipe underneath, then position a second pipe so the rock rests on both. Roll the stone forward and place the third pipe in front. As the rock rolls off a pipe at the back, move it to the front and continue rolling the stone forward until it reaches its new spot.
Please sit back and relax with the joke of the day called, “The Fairy Tale Sports.”
Snow White and Cinderella were watching the kingdom’s sports day rehearsal.
“Cinderella… Do you know why you’re so bad at sports?”
“Excuse me? I am not bad at sports! But why?”
"Well… first of all, your coach was literally a pumpkin. And second… every time there’s a ball, you run away from it.”
